Pappas Restaurant - Parkville
I was quite pleased. We were seated immediately . Service, food was great!!
Pappa's has the best crab cakes ever. The restaurant was very accommodating. We were 30 minutes late for our reservation. They offered us a 20 minute wait or to be seated in the bar area with no wait. We opted for the bar area. Not as comfortable but we still enjoyed our meal and had great service.
Great place to have lunch with friends. Server was very efficient and courteous. Food was as usual very good. Every one at the table tried something different and they all enjoyed their choices. Looking forward to coming back.
This was my first time dining in the restaurant. I have had the famous crab cakes via carryout, which were excellent. My order was the Mediterranean Rockfish with crab meat on top. Let's say there was hardly any crabmeat on top and the seasoning was lacking in flavor. I fault myself for not just sticking with the crab cakes.
Authentic good food. Splendid strip steaks, salads and service.
Our table continued to get bumped especially by the workers. We were seated at the corner and the space was tight. The restaurant was not crowded, we could have been placed at a more suitable table. However, the food was fabulous!!!
This was the first time for two of us to dine at Pappas and we were very pleased. We had a very friendly and informative waitress. We enjoyed a daily special of rockfish and crab lumps which was delicious. The rockfish serving was generous and the crab lumps were great. Next time we dine in that area we will definitely consider returning.
This place never disappoints! The staff is always friendly and the crab cakes are amazing. Specialty cocktails are a must!
Meet the parents
Food arrived cold and after 30 -40 min. - Wait staff was inattentive, forgetting drinks and water , staff delivering food carried tray on shoulder with hair in food
Wonderful experience. Delicious food
My review is actually of the Pappas Restaurant in Cockeysville. Food was delicious and the portions were very generous. We especially liked the grilled octopus appetizer. It came with a nice side salad and lemon slices to squeeze on top.
This was the 2nd time that I and my lady friend have attended this restaurant. The food has been first rate both times. We both got the crab cake and it was one of the best that I have had. In addition, we had a show to attend in Baltimore and were running late when we arrived...the service was exceptional. The waitress worked with us and got us out in plenty of time to make the show with time to spare. I would highly recommend the restaurant.
Our meal was delicious - we both got the single crab cake dinner. The spicy garlic shrimp as an appetizer was awesome! The service was great too!
Our server was perfect. Effucy and charming; a lovely combination.
Having been abroad for the past two weeks, I was craving a crabcake. I was so glad I went to Pappa's. As usual, the crabcake was large, full of lump meat, and broiled to perfection. Another excellent meal. Thanks!
Great food and very friendly staff. The food came out in perfect timing.
Good excellent. Restaurant really needs an upgrade. Staff standing around talking which made the noise level too loud. I would still recommend.
First time I was ever disappointed in the service. Had ordered a dinner to go and they forgot it. Then they forgot to bring the salad that went with it. Don't like having to wait!!
We were seated immediately. Food was delicious. Our waitress was very good.
Best crab cakes in the area
Amazing time for my mothers birthday. Crab cakes were AWESOME! Also I had brought an extravagant cake that the staff handled so well. They lit and carried it over while also singing happy birthday. It was very very nice.
everyone enjoyed there meals, felt a little cramped, tables are so close together
It was a little confusing to where to go to be seated but after finding the right entry everything was smooth sailing! The cucumbers before the meal were AMAZING!!! I have never had anything like that! It was a GREAT way to begin a wonderful meal instead of always getting served bread!!! I initially came for the crab cake but i ended up order the flounder stuffed with crab imperial and it was More than I could eat!! I am very pleased with the service that I recieved and the attention we were given. Thanks Again! and i will definietly be back for me Crab Cake!!!
We had a great dinner. Our waitress was awesome.
Excellent service, excellent crab cakes. The only thing missing was a really good quality glass of wine to go with the meal. The bar beverages are more geared toward mixed drinks. No complaints though. We'll be back.
Food is always fabulous at a reasonable price. Staff is always quick friendly and have great attitudes. Their seafood is outstanding your side dishes are delicious and again a great spot to celebrate birthdays meeting friends and just a fine time overall
Great local restaurant with varied menu, excellent service. good food and minimal noise level
Pappas reminds me of a restaurant in Rome that we stumbled into on a Sunday afternoon. Bustling, welcoming, full of locals, families, even tourists. Clearly a justly popular place with something to appeal to every taste. We are glad we found it and hope to return.
I am always happy to go to dinner at Papa’s. I had guest in from out of town and they totally enjoyed themselves and loved the food!
Always an excellent meal. The crab cakes were delicious, as was everything else.
Four of us went for lunch. Two had fried oysters which were fried too long & dry. One person had a wonderful crab cake and the other had the fried shrimp. The shrimp were fried golden brown. The sides included fries, cole slaw, side salad, stewed tomatoes and applesauce. The sides were fine. Our suggestion i not to order the fried oysters until the chef learns how to fry them properly. That was such a disappointment to the two oyster lovers.
It had been years since I had been there and went for a birthday dinner for their wonderful crab cakes!! Everyone loved their meals and the stuffed mushroom caps and filet were OUTSTANDING! It was a lovely family dinner. The service was great as well!!
As always the crab cake was outstanding. We were a party of five and all but one got the crab cake. The sole abstainer got shrimp salad, which she declared to be delicious. We had a nice round table which was great for conversation, and our reunion lunch was not rushed--we were there for about 2 hours and no one seemed to mind.
We always have a good experience here. The food is always wonderful and the servers are attentive. It has a local feeling and makes you feel special.
Food is great especially the Roughy, steaks & crab cakes. Services is very friendly.
Tables are a little close together but fine.
Best crab cakes anywhere! Exceptional value for the money. Some rooms are quiet. Others are noisy when full. I live on Long Island and try to get to Pappas in either the Parkville or Cockeyesville locations whenever I go to Baltimore. The Cockeyesville Pappas will make gluten-free crab cakes.
A little expensive for the location but I would have been very happy with the meal at twice the price in New York City. Excellent!
Had the Surf and Turf (crabcake and fantastic filet) .
Although this place has been one of my favorite for years, I was disappointed today. The clam chowder tasted like cream of mushroom soup and the Brussels sprouts were SO overdone that they were just about mush. May be awhile before I return again.
Everything was perfect. We couldn’t ask for a better dining experience.
