everything was excellent the food was excellent the service was excellent it was my 54th anniversary and everything turned out great
Tiara was a great server. She made our experience very pleasant.
I don’t know if the horrible experience is due to the coronavirus or what, but the food was and service was just unbelievable. We were seated for about 10-15 minutes before our waitress got to us. The food was just...a mess. My crab cake fell apart upon sticking my fork into it. The potatoes tasted like boxed potatoes. My shrimp was rubbery. My husband ordered the seafood Alfredo and the side was runny and nasty.
I planned a trip for myself, my husband, my sister and her husband to visit Baltimore from CHICAGO for the first time to try the talked about crab cakes and seafood. We literally did a turn around. We decided to come to Phillips since it’s a pillar in Baltimore. The customer service did not live up to this hype. First, our waitress Lashay seemed all over the place. She took our drink orders and apps (1 Chesapeake fries, Clam Chowder and Chesapeake crab dip) without writing them down. We figured she knew her Job well enough to remember everything. Well, that was not the case...20 minutes later, no drinks. She came back and blamed the bar for the drink delay. Once the drinks came, we proceeded with our regular orders (but still have not received our apps nor an update). We ordered 2 Chesapeake Chickens, 1 crab steam bucket, and a rib-eye steak well done. We received everything instead of the rib eye...they sent out 2 crab steamed buckets! 30 minutes later (already a hour in the restaurant) our food comes out...STILL NO APPS! So we let the person who bought our food out know that we didn’t want the apps since our main course has arrived and asked to speak with a manager. Lashay comes out and says “I’m sorry I think I forgot to put the apps in”. It’s sad because we really wanted to taste what we’ve ordered. The manager on duty that evening (Saturday Oct. 17, 2020 between 4:30pm and 6:30pm) came and was very nonchalant and blew us off with unnecessary apologizes! My husband had to wait almost another 30 minutes for the steak to be made well done in which everyone else finished eating and the steak was still was not done! We had to ask assistance from Anthony (another table waiter) to assist us. Lashay never came back over to resolve the issue nor acted as if she cared about her table. Anthony was a big help with grabbing the manager and silverware! Thanks Anthony!
Ehh it was okay the crab was really good
Seafood pasta dish had cold crab meat and hot pasta with shrimp. Manager Jason Epps went out of his way to replace the food and offer some starters while waiting for the food. Thank you Jason for your service.
Good outside seating and crab cakes are awesome. Service was great too
We got the. cream of crab soup and the broiled seafood platter. Everything was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
Was really looking forward to a good seafood dinner. Thought this place and the food was mediocre. Not bad, but not very good and certainly not worth almost $40 per entree. I’d def pass.
The food was just okay. We ordered crab cheese fries and we didn't see any crab meat. I wouldn't recommend it.
Does not live up to the hype. I was expecting excellent seafood but it was subpar.
I was celebrating my 21st wedding anniversary.
Very small food portion for the price charged, also food was nasty
The food was okay at best. It’s rated as a four star restaurant but more like two or three stars. I drove two hours to eat at Phillips and could have saved the time, gas, and money. I will not visit again.
I ordered cream of crab soup and returned it, changed it for lobster bisque, which was not good either. Entree was ultimate crab cake, lacked flavor. The mashed potatoes tasted like boxed spuds, and asparagus was overcooked. Also, ordered the steam bucket of snow crabs and shrimp, both were overcooked and dry.
Food, atmosphere and staff were all 10’s! Our server Anthony was top notch. Friendly, hospitable and knowledgeable. Went out of the way to locate a small fork for my girlfriend to help her enjoy the crab she had.
Will definitely be back!!
Great food, great customer service. First time here was amazing
Phillips was one of the best seafood restaurants, key word was.
Excellent food and service. Very safe Covid-19 distancing.
A reaonably priced good restaurant - tables inside are spread far apart. Outside is nice too. Lots of different local seafood fare. Very good!
I ordered Chesapeake fries for an appetizer and had to request plates. I ordered the supposed to be "jumbo" shrimp and fries for $26 and not worth it. My anniversary celebration note wasn't even acknowledged.
When to Phillips for a seafood dinner. The restaurant has downsized their menu (probably due to Covid) and has eliminated many of the seafood options. It was disappointing that the only fish option was highly priced salmon. Hopeful the full menu returns soon, or more seafood option, and less burger options.
My food was not satisfying at all and our waitress was not helpful and keep forgetting things....definitely will NOT return
Food was great, food a nice price. Waiter was a little slow but a nice guy!
The clam bake for two was not worth nearly as much as it cost. Our server Vic was awesome, but the food (reason for going) was substandard. The muscles and clams had absolutely no flavor, the lobsters were small, and the potatoes all the way on the bottom??? Why? Maybe some other food is better, but when we told out Lyft driver where we ate she was disappointed. Listen to the locals.
Service was excellent. Food was great!! Overall worth every penny.
Very nice date night or special occasion restaurant
Loved it also the guy playing live piano made our night
Amazing service and food! Price is great.
Overall an excellent experience with very good soups, seafood and service.
My entree was amazing! I had the chicken speacial. The sauce with the crab meat was so delicious. I will always come back here if I am in Baltimore.
I have been a long time customer of Phillip's. I drove 40 miles just to come here to celebrate a birthday with my family. Michelle the waitress was great. Really! However, when I got the order of petite crab cake appetizer we only got 3 the size of a 50 cents piece et with some diced tomatoes for $14, what a disappointment. I was not amused with how the seafood platter has Shrunk in size either for $33. I am not eager to return after all these years as a customer and driving from another state to eat
Truly unique crab cake. Drink specials were limited . Server was so-so; could have been more attentive
The hostess Star was not attentive and she was extremely rude. After bring out our food to the table she never returned until it was time for the check. She placed the food containers on the table and said how was everything. If she would have returned after she placed the food on the table she would have known that my girlfriend and I were not satisfied with our dishes. I had stuffed crab meat on top of shrimp, mash potatoes and asparagus. The stuffed crab meat was mushy and you could taste the mayo. The potatoes tasted like it was sitting all day and the asparagus was not cooked. It was so hard it tasted raw. My girlfriend had blackened salmon, string beans and carrots; the salmon was freezer burnt bc it had a weird taste to it. Both of our plates were still full of food. I told Star that I wasn’t happy with the food; she throw her hands up, rolled her eyes, made a sound under her breath and was visibly upset. She went to talk to the manager and came back to the table and said my manger took the your dish off the check. I was going to order something else but her attitude was so horrible I opted out. So I asked her was she upset with me bc I didn’t like my food. She said no and asked my girlfriend do she want to put her food in the container, she told her no. I felt like if her food was barely touched and she didn’t want a container something was wrong. But she would have known that if she would have came back to the table. On top of all of that the manager never came over to the table. I will not be returning. Very disappointed
Our server was Ms. Texas and she was amazing!!! Loved her!!!
Great seafood... the best crabcake..excellent bloody mary...great server
Good food way too expensive for small portions. Expect superior servers and food quantity for the price. I don’t mind paying more if quality, quantity, and service are on par.
We had a great family dinner at Phillips! It was our first time dining here and we came around 4pm on Sunday (which was great because it was not crowded!) Our server, Megan, was very good and the service was fast for our food. We loved that our kids got a free kids meal with our Port Discovery wristbands and the food was delicious! We enjoyed our experience and would come again if we were in the area.
Excellent bar staff and great food
We arrived at 10am for brunch. They were not ready to serve food. It took more than 10 minutes to get the food stations staffed and nearly 20 minutes to get a drink, which I had to obtain by hunting down the waitress myself. She rarely checked on us in the 45 minutes we were there. My husband waited an additional 15 minutes for a drink refill after he emptied his first drink. Worst service we’ve had anywhere in a long time. Highly disappointed.
Enjoyed a good dinner with awesome service! Wine was awesome as well! Will definitely be back!
