Piazza Sorrento
Piazza Sorrento not only provides the best in authentic Italian cooking this side of the Atlantic, but also believes that all patrons, whether adults or children, should be welcomed like one big family - even those with certain dietary requirements. GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE!!
WISH THERE WAS A LOCATION ON THE WEST SHORE!!!
First time dining here. I was expecting authentic Italian food. We had calamari and mozzarella prosciutto bruschetta. Calamari rings were tiny and the bruschetta was dried out. My husband ordered veal Marsala which is said was ok. I ordered clams and spaghetti. I was expecting simple ingredients. The spaghetti was good, but the clam sauce was salty and there was green onion and a lot of butter in it. Authentic Italian cuisine does not use green onion in clams and spaghetti. Our waitress was wonderful and made up for the mediocre food.
great family Italian Dining. Best cleaning we have seen during the pandemic. staff was very friendly and accommodating. Will go back again
Great homemade dishes that look as good as they taste!
Always consistently good
Charming, cozy atmosphere inside the restaurant. Once you get past the fact that the restaurant is between a gas station and a Subway, you enter and feel like you are in a small slice of Italy. The decor was obviously thought out. There seem to be 2 dining areas on either side of the hostess podium/bar area. Service was great; attentive waitress, food came out quickly. We went on Valentine's Day later in the evening. It was busy, but we didn't have to wait long for anything. Tables were socially distanced, but close enough to strike up conversation with a couple at the next table. I ordered the seafood linguine, I was happy with it.
Valentines Day dinner with wife. Food and service were good. Manager even came over to check on us. Only thing was they ran out of ravioli, which was understandable being Valentines Day. Would recommend to others.
Food was very good. We had to ask for bread, even though everyone else got bread. By the time we got the bread, our food order was up. Still our server was fun and efficient. We made a reservation, but we were placed at a very cold area out in a 3-seasons room. It had no sun, and we felt a heavy draft and asked to move to a booth. We were told we had to call ahead for a booth in the future? However, they were very accommodating. Inside the dining room, we were seated a few feet away from where the servers come out. They kept shouting "corner," we believe every time they moved in and out. It became a pain while we were trying to talk. The lasagne was dry, and the chicken parm was so, so. However, if you want yummy brick-oven pizza, and an amazing Fettucine Alfredo, you'll find it here. Keep in mind - if you are looking for something more intimate, make sure you call ahead and ask for a booth away from the servers and bartender area! And don't ask for the extended area off to the side if you don't like to be cold!
Amazing food, Amazing service, Simply Amazing!!!!!
I was never offered to refill my drinks. I also felt the waitress payed attention to a table with her relatives and it placed a burden on her to wait on us it seemed. The food was excellent. Dessert was just okay for the price.
Went out for Valentines Day and it was decorated nicely. Food was cooked well and very good. We have not had a bad meal any time we have eaten here.
The food is very fresh and a good place for a celebration.
This is our favorite restaurant. Service is great, food is amazing!! Can’t wait to visit them again.
The food and service was amazing definitely will be back!
Date night with the wife. Had a very nice dinner. Server was very helpful. Actually had an opinion on the food instead of the normal party line “everything is good”. She recommended the gnocchi and it was wonderful. Bread is made from pizza dough. Another home run. Wife had veal piccata. We both left very full and very happy. Would recommend.
I highly recommend this restaurant. I requested the gluten free menu, which is the most extensive GF I have ever seen. They also serve GF dinner rolls, which is almost unheard of in most restaurants. I was the only person in our party that eats GF, but everyone else in the group also really enjoyed their selections from the 'regular' menu. The service is fast and friendly. The desserts are also amazing!
I have been coming to Piazza Sorrento for years. It never disappoints.
I usually get takeout pizza from Sorrentos about once a week. This week my husband and I enjoyed a date night dinner and the food, service, and safety precautions for COVID-19 were fabulous! We both enjoyed the fresh bruschetta as a starter. I had the homemade butternut squash ravioli and my husband had the homemade lasagna. Both were excellent. We then shared the salted caramel crunch cake for dessert- also very good! I especially appreciated the precautions that Sorrentos is taking to keep their customers safe such as distancing between the tables and plexiglass between booths. Another great idea was using their online menu to order instead of a reusable one to minimize contact. Also all the staff wore masks and the customers wore masks when they are not at the table.
I almost hate to mention all the great things about this place because I don’t want it to get too difficult to get a reservation! ;-)
If you’re looking for reasonably priced Italian restaurant in the Hershey area- this is it!
This is my fiancés favorite restaurant. They are fantastic at catering to her gluten allergy. You should eat here on your next date night.
27th Anniversary. We have dined here before and are never disappointed. The waitress was fantastic and always made sure we were taken care of. Great evening.
The service was amazing, the food was spectacular! Absolutely recommend this place! If we lived closer, we would be regular visitors.
Excellent food as always. Confident to eat here as a celiac. Very knowledgeable and very careful about cross contamination.
One of our absolute favorites! The service, quality and food prep are top notch!! Our son has celiac disease and gets violently ill from gluten - has NEVER had an issue with cross-contamination or flavor of their bread and pasta. It's one of the few GF places we trust!
Celebrated a birthday, food was awesome and our waitress did a great job.
She even sang happy birthday for my wife.
I asked for my soup to be really hot, the waiter offered to put hot WATER in my soup, I ordered the chowder (cream base)I can definitely tell you this was not a chowder soup. Our meal was barely warm. No offer of another glass of wine, witch I would have ordered. Our table number was G1.
I don’t believe we will be returning. We have eaten at the restaurant several times, but this was absolutely the worst.
We're always pleased with our dining experience. One of us is gluten free and there is never the fear of getting glutened.
It was wonderful to dine at our favorite restaurant. The food and service were amazing!! They never disappoint us❤️
Daughter favorite gluten-free place in Hersey! She’s already knows what she wants next visit! Cassidy great service like always!
The food was excellent as always, but the service was barely average. The server did not offer a tasting from the wine bottle and instead just poured the glasses. We had to request bread which is normally served. We don’t know if the restaurant still includes a small salad with an entree. We didn’t get one but didn’t ask about it.
The food was excellent and consistent with Piazza Sorrento’s high standards for delicious Italian.
I’m gluten-free, so Piazza Sorrento is a wonderful experience every time. Pete’s Penne, GF, is sooo good! Calamari for the rest of my party was perfectly prepared, as were their entrees. Love supporting this restaurant- people, you are safe to eat here!
We love Sorrentos. Food is great, staff have always been very nice. They have a very nice gluten free menu and there are no worries about cross contamination.
Food is amazing. Frequent Sorrento’s often. Waitress was so pleasant, friendly and on top of her game. Will be back again soon.
We love Piazza Sorrento! We have never had a bad meal! The pasta is fresh and delicious!!
Great service and great food! Highly recommend eating at this restaurant.
,Excellent restaurant. All aspects of the restaurant are outstanding and in the time of COVID-19 they maintain the standards of cleanliness. The staff were masked and following all of the safety standards.
Anniversary dinner
Food and service are amazing. Both are always consistently on point.
Spicy crab pasta perfect again
Meatballs and all sauces are authentic.
Beer dining here for 7-8 years and never had a sub par experience.
Great service and very authentic Italian menu
I love Piazza! Most people don’t know about this little gem and being Italian with family from Brooklyn, it’s hard to find good Italian food! They are on the money every single time and with every single dish.
