This is the quintessential NYC neighborhood Italian restaurant, if there is such a thing, you go to on a regular basis. For milestone family events, business or because you and your gal pal are craving carbs. This is my favorite outside of NYC. Period. Food. Service. Space. Valet.
Very good authentic Italian restaurant. Feels and tastes like being back in Italy.
Specially good is the branzino, pasta with truffles and spaghetti vongole as well as the apple capriccio.
I've been going to Giacomino Drago's restaurants for many years, and they never disappoint. The food is authentic and creative, staff always are very helpful and attentive, wines are nicely paired and well-priced, and the atmosphere is fun and vibrant. Complimenti e grazie, Giacomino!!
Small and intimate BH Italian. The pasta was excellent and the bechamel sauce might be the best we ever had. The duck special was just ok. Our waiter was great.
I had the insulata Ai Fruitti di Mare which was wonderful. My husband had the Arrabbiatte pasta which was excellent. He had an great beer and I had the Monte Pulciano D’Abruzzo wine - wonderful and a little berry-ish. We finished up with both the Canoli alla Siciliana and the Affogato Al Caffe. What a wonderful end to the meal. Our waiter had a great sense of humor and helped us with our selections. We're making this our go-to place for Italian food.
This is my favorite "go to" restaurant here!! The food is good, the atmosphere is homey and inviting, and the staff are always pleasant and helpful, from the parking attendant to the servers. Start to finish it's a fine experience!!
My favorite Italian restaurant and the waiter is so awesome. Everything I get there is so good! I would def recommend going you will not be disappointed.
We found this restaurant to be crowded and noisy. Guests were crammed in and had to shout to be heard. We also felt rushed. Our meal came so fast after ordering that we questioned whether it was freshly prepared. The waiter really wasn't that interested. When he asked if our meals were good he didn't even bother waiting for a reply and walked away. Rushed or arrogant, either way it didnh't create a very good impression.
Finally the food. It was OK. Nothing wrong with it but nothing special either.
it's a regular stop for us and is consistently terrific.
Our go to restaurant for Italian food in Beverly Hills
Nice experience overall.
Expertly prepared pasta and wonderful gnocchi. My mother enjoyed the pumpkin tortellini and I had the delicious gnocchi Paradiso. I had the fennel and baby artichoke salad -- good, but a bit bland. Service was excellent and professional.
Delicious, fresh pasta and hearty, flavorful sauces. Some dishes a tad salty, but not overly. Service is reasonably attentive—could have used more water refreshes but all in all would definitely go back and recommend to others for good, quality Italian meals.
A little gem- wow - can see why it’s ranked #1 in Beverley Hills - amazing-food, surprisingly reasonably priced & a great wine list - a must visit ...but you’d better book
Outstanding, as always, our go-to restaurant whenever we want a great meal and great service.
Charming Italian in the heart of the Beverly Hills Triangle. I ordered the lobster linguine, and it was outstanding! The sauce was perfection, and I believe there was at least half of a lobster in the dish. We had a very charming waiter, and he was most attentive and kind in explaining the various dishes. My companion had the mushroom pasta which I plan to try on my next visit. This place is a gem, and the menu was very authentic.
This was my first time at the restaurant and really liked the food, it was excellent. There is a large variety to choose from and the waiter was great in his recommendations. Their wine list is also quite good. The tables are very close together and it is quite noisy, so not the best place to have an intimate dinner or a business dinner. I really enjoyed the restaurant and will definitely go back.
Consistently outstanding food and service. Love it!
Awesome As Always!!!
We have been here several times and really enjoyed the food and drinks. Will go again.
This was our second time at Piccolo Paradiso and once again it did not disappoint in any way. First they had a table ready for us when we arrived for our reservation just like before -- we really appreciate it that they keep tables open so reservations can sit immediately. The service was professional, friendly, prompt. Our server knew the menu well and expressed opinions when asked. The menu is huge and has something for every taste. We started with burrata with tomatoes -- delicious creamy burrata (portion could have been bigger) paired with tree ripened tomatoes drizzled with truffle oil. Delicious. I had tortolloni and my spouse had risotto -- both were incredible. Between our two visits now we have eaten six different dishes and they were all amazing. The ambiance is nice, classy, old school. It's pricey, but worth it for a special occasion. We will definitely be back.
A lovely atmosphere/ambiance for an intimate date. Staff terrific. Food was wonderful.
The waiter didn’t want to help us. He had a poor attitude. Worst experience I’ve had there in a long time.
Old school Italian with homemade pastas. All of us had different proteins and were impressed with the veal, fish and beef. We also tried several desserts and the panna cotta, tiramisu and sorbets were excellent!
The staff at Piccolo Paradiso remind me of what it means to dine out and be taken care of. It is just a wonderful experience.
Very slow service
As a regular at this restaurant we are always satisfied. Tonight was unusual because the service was acceptably slow. We tried to flag the waiter several times to inquire about our appetizers but he was unavailable. Everything else was as good as usual.
food server extremely unfriendly but food was good.
I am in town visiting and asked for a recommendation for an authentic Italian meal . Upon arriving at the restaurant I was very impressed with the ambience and in Timmons feeling of the establishment the staff was very helpful in selecting menu choices as well as describing the different options on the menu. the wine was superb, and I had the lasagna myself it was to die for
Always love our meals here
Well the reviews don't lie. This is a wonderful, small hole-in-the wall restaurant that serves as authentic as you can get italian food here in the United States. They even make lasagna the right way -- using just a besciamella sauce. The Service was also impeccable -- Hats off to our server Marco!
Great food and service
Wonderful little Italian restaurant with Great food and nice lively atmosphere. Seating indoors and out. Love the Piccolo Paradiso salad to start. Yummmmm
Excellent quality, well seasoned and prepared food. Pasta was incredible—freshly made and delicious by itself. There were four of us and we all loved our respective meals. Also, for Beverly Hills, the tables were sufficiently spaced apart so that the ambience was fine—not a deafening din. Service was reasonably attentive by grown up servers that approached the table unobtrusively. We will definitely go there again!
Food was utterly marginal, service wasn’t much better. It has gone seriously downhill. I won’t be back.
We were a party of five on March 11. The table was ready for us when we arrived. The restaurant was packed at 7:00 pm on a Monday night, which surprised us. The service was very slow- more than 30+ minutes to take orders for our appetizers. When the appetizers arrived, one was incorrect (not ordered) and had to be exchanged. Another - the Ceasar salad, was reported to be "tasteless". Then, we had another long wait before our entrees were served. I split an order of the Branzino with my cousin -- both of us found it to be very good, very tender, not at all dry - the accompanying veggies were delicious. No complaints from anyone else in the group about their entrees.
The restaurant was noisy -- could only speak with those in my party on either side of me -- had to raise my voice to be heard across our round table. We were among the last to leave, at about 9:45 -- the service improved immensely and of course, the noise level died down.
This is a very popular neighborhood restaurant, with a lovely "mom and pop" type of ambiance. Food is very good. But be prepared for a large decibel level and slow-ish service. Maybe this was an off night - or maybe our party of five was too large to handle. I'd grade the restaurant a solid B for the overall experience, with a B+ for the food, B- for the service, C to C- for the noise.
This is the third time I have taken people to dinner there... we all always leave happy!
Great food, nice place but had to wait for our table a bit too long (got it over 30 min later than we had reserved it for)
