   Me and my friends were waiting for food for about 2 hours after ordering. Even the soft drink (coke) took about 30 minutes to arrive. Starters that we ordered arrived after about an hour and were not nearly not as good as expected for the price. When asked about wait time for food, I was told to “calm down” although I didn’t raise voice or show any sign of aggression. My main concern was the wait time, I think it’s unacceptable to keep the table waiting for 2 hours, even if the restaurant is busy. When we asked for the desserts menu it took about 20 minutes for the waiter to bring it, since it was already late we decided not to take a dessert. Overall, the experience that we got did not meet the expectation for the price.

   Booked for dinner before theatre (5.30 pm sitting). The staff were attentive and the aesthetics of the restaurant good. Food wise we weren’t impressed on the whole. The bread whilst waiting for our main course was nice and the dessert was good. The main courses we found lacking to be honest. Our side (broccoli) was extremely salty. Also, the music 🎶 . At 5.30pm neither of us appreciated a DJ playing whilst eating and certainly not at a loud volume. Unfortunately I’m not certain if the venue knows exactly what it is a restaurant or a trendy bar for people to frequent to look good on Instagram. We have had a better food for less than we paid at this venue, and in a far more enjoyable environment. Taking into account our overall experience I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

   Fabulous food and the service was great too. One of the nicest meals out in a long time, lovely cocktails and our server, Mirko was polite, helpful and knowledgeable about our food. We will definitely be going back for the set menu and cocktails.

    Went for my 65th birthday used the Al carte menu food was nice but a bit pricey for what it was!! Most people were using the set menu but wasn’t anything I liked. Most people got a little happy birthday cake but I didn’t!! I did advise it was my birthday on the booking Overall I had a lovely time though.

    A birthday celebration. Seated overlooking the view which was perfect. Downside was on the lunch set menu, normally only three choices, yet one was unavailable, restricting choice to a fish or a soup. One of the guests didn’t eat fish, therefore it was a little disappointing. However the service was very good, but let down by the menu choices.

    I took my mum and dad on Mother’s Day and my misses was very disappointed with the food over cooked dry pork then when we complained you come back out the kitchen with pork sauce that tasted like bbq sauce for the money you are asking for it has to be perfect they did knock it off the bill but we was more than happy to eat it and pay for it if it wasn’t left to dry out lesson learnt

    Bearing in mind the booking was for mothers day, it would have been nice for a glass of prosecco (or equivalent) to be given to the mum on arrival. When asked if there was a mothers day cocktail, there was, but it was charged at £10. The Kiehl's gift that was on the website was only for lunch bookings. It's the little detail that makes a good experience, memorable. This opportunity was missed. The food was great and the atmosphere was good. Service was positive too. I would recommend 20 Stories, but whether other people would see the value in it, I'm not sure.

    Our table was booked at 3pm for Sunday lunch for Mothers Day, by the time we were shown to our table it was almost 4pm and as we came to order nearly an hour and a half after we’d arrived we were then told that they were out of all Sunday roasts and also out of most of the a la Carte menu too. Very disappointing experience, especially for an upper class establishment.

    Wanted to charge us £50 cancellation fee whilst we were an hour into our booking. I was gaslit by the staff, I had booked for drinks and dessert, hadn’t seen the note that you have to have 2 mains minimum. I had called 3 weeks in advance to enquire if I could book for drinks and dessert, I wasn’t told that I’d have to have 2 mains. Something like this should be made obvious and in bold when booking. Staff tried to tell me I hadn’t called (I had the call log) and that someone called me after I booked (I never received a call) but they were adamant that I was wrong. In the end we paid for 2 overpriced cocktails and £25 cancellation fee which I find disgusting. Nowhere does it state that you will charged during your reservation if 20 Stories decide to cancel it. I had come for my boyfriends birthday and they ruined the night, will not recommend them to anyone

    The food was lovely but very expensive for what it was. Lots of dishes felt overcomplicated - too many ingredients. The child's menu definitely needs looking at - the Welsh Rarebit had lots of Worcestershire sauce, which we didn't expect with it being on the child's menu. Too spicy for some of the adults, never mind our son. The sausage and mash from the children's menu were also disappointing, with the sausages being very herby. It was also served on a pasta bowl-type plate, which made it very hard for our son to cut the sausages up. Overall, very disappointing experience for our son, which made our experience less enjoyable. The level of the music was really loud as well, although it was a Saturday night so we would avoid that next time. Have to say the staff were fantastic though, especially our waitress Ella. She really made our visit great - and spent a lot of time making sure my parents were well looked after and happy. Just a shame the food wasn't great.

    It was quite a disappointing experience overall. The food was pretty average, we all had the sirloin steak, supposed to be 10oz but they all differed in size a lot. Thick chips very average, very expensive sides of broccoli, kale and a very small pepper sauce. Half way through my steak before my requested English mustard arrived after asking twice. Service hit and miss, seated by a lovely guy but the female waitress was quite poor. No draught beers on, even though a peak Saturday afternoon and they were on the menu. All valid points I think I’ve made to be honest…

    I did my reservation based on a table next to the window, I was disappointed when I was offered a different table, I asked if possible to have a drink only for 30 minutes next to the window they said we can't despite there being two free tables available.

    Horrendously expensive for mediocre food. I have eaten in Restaurants better than this for significantly less. However the waiters were attentive and the sommelier good, was recommended some options and unwittingly picked one that was very expensive, it was nice but not worth the money.

    We arrived early and sat at the bar with a drink while the table was made available. A text message was sent to my phone to tell me the table was ready. We say down at 2:50pm and the service at this point was good. It just felt like we were at the crossover point between menu's. Our original waiter seems to disappear (maybe on a break) and from that point it all went down hill. I don't think anyone was serving in our area and we ended up sitting there for nearly 30 minutes without drinks and not one person came over, even though we were trying to get someone's attention, really poor for a restaurant that is trying to set high standards. Other people sat near us had to ask twice what had happened to their drinks, waiting 15.minuyes for 2 glasses of wine isn't great

    My friend and I recently had the pleasure of enjoying an exquisite dinner at this delightful establishment. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted with warmth and hospitality. We had made a special request for the table arrangement, which was graciously accommodated without any hesitation. The attentiveness of the staff was truly remarkable. To our surprise, the woman at the reception even knew my name, adding a personalized touch to our experience that made us feel truly valued as guests. Her welcoming demeanor set the stage for a wonderful evening ahead. Throughout our meal, we were looked after by our exceptional waiter, Stan. His genuine kindness and attentive service enhanced our dining experience tremendously. He ensured that our every need was met and made us feel right at home. As for the food, it was nothing short of delectable. Each dish was prepared with great attention to detail and presented beautifully. The flavors were well-balanced, and the portions were generous, leaving us both satisfied and impressed. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this establishment highly enough. From the impeccable service to the delicious cuisine, our evening was an unforgettable experience.     Food was very nice and got better value with the set menu price. The views are nice as expected as well as the restaurant. Disappointed with the overall feel of the place and could be perceived as pretentious. I had initially asked for a window table when making the reservation and on arrival was placed in the middle of restaurant even though there was available tables at the window (would have completely understood if busy and already occupied). I believe this to be based on judgement from the staff members and who they want to put there (We were 2 males) I also wanted to sit outside in terrace after our meal, on booking I was told you could not reserve seating outside and on a walk in basis - this turned out not to be the case as covered tables had 'reserved' signs and we could not here - disappointing. I would not recommend the cocktails (only purchased 2 so potentially others are better) but very over priced and not value for money as we did not enjoy. The set up for the cocktail bar needs reviewed, very difficult to place an order with people sitting at the bar meaning you are fighting to be seen and heard as well as disturbing the guests sitting at the bar (shouting and reaching over them). Overall, I went for an experience and was willing to pay a bit more for it but ultimately came away underwhelmed and disappointed (although the food I had was nice!)

    The Afternoon Tea was absolutely amazing. Credit where credit is due. It was absolutely delicious and such a great variety. Possibly, one of the best I’ve. Compliments to the chef and kitchen team. However, We were seated right next to another couple trying to enjoy Afternoon tea too. I understand that it as to be within a certain area of the restaurant but when it’s relatively empty then you’re sat nearly on the knee of the next customers it not right. We hear every word. Our server was called Amy, she was very welcoming. Our initial order was taken straight away. We ordered traditional English Breakfast Tea to complement our food. It was very nice. However, the teapot only allowed one serving. With all the different tastes, plus our first drink it was much needed. We weren’t approached again after our initial first ordering. The table next to us, had a different server. He was very attentive. He really looked after his customers. I had to approach him for another drink. I felt really rude asking when he was serving others but there wasn’t anyone else to ask. We weren’t asked at all for more drinks. It felt like we were in the way because the restaurant only had us and the couple next to us left. All the tables were being prepared for the evening. The oil burners were placed on the tables too. Two were left unattended and were roaring flames. A manager had to run over after what seemed like forever with a plate to place on the top to extinguish the flames. Then, right behind us a manager started staff training with a team of about six new employees. Explaining on what looked like an iPad. Even, a manager was very discreet but look mad knowing it was unprofessional and made them all move towards the window. It just wasn’t a pleasant experience in general which was a delayed birthday celebration because of myself being recently ill with Crohn’s disease. I try to live a normal life with husband which no one will ever know how hard that is being so poorly.

    The menu hasn’t changed for months , the waitress was poor , and to add circa 13.5% service change was somewhat ridiculous , wines are too expensive , all in all we felt that for a very ordinary meal the cost was way to high.
