We support and partner with a small collection of local farmers and producers who are passionate about their product. The animal proteins we use have always been ethically reared, and we only select in-season Australian fruits and vegetables, and not necessarily the pretty ones.
Ultimately we want to serve you beautiful food that hasn’t traveled far to be on your plate, that tastes as fresh and delicious as it possibly can, because it’s been produced in
the right way.
Excellent food, great service good wine! Nothing not to love!
Limited set menu due to Covid restrictions but great choice, with vegetarian options, and plenty of food. Great friendly service. Would definitely return.
My cauliflower was a little burnt otherwise as spectacular as always ❤
Selection on the menu isn't large and fairly simple.
Would have liked for there to be a little more to choose from.
Quality of the food is okay, but would have expected more for the price.
Okay for a night out, but don't expect anything mind blowing.
Kind of like going to an over priced pub.
Really lovely restaurant, in terms of setting and service. Didn’t realise it was a set menu when I booked. Understand that might be due to covid and keeping things simple but it was a very limited choice menu. Food was ok.
We have eaten there more than any other local restaurant. The food is always delicious. We had a set menu (party of 10) as they have just reopened and numbers limited. Only downside was the generous servings - not all of us could face the compulsory dessert !
Great restaurant! big space, set menu is delicious. Great service too
Overall poor quality food for what you pay. Def need to introduce paired drinks to make up for the poor food.
Love coming to Acre. It’s our go-to restaurant for a special lunch out. The porchetta is outstanding. The service is always friendly and prompt. Thanks for another great experience.
Great venue, love the atmosphere, good rustic food
We had a great experience, the restaurant was beautiful and the food was fresh and tasty.
Not great food very overpriced and terrible service.
Beautiful place and atmosphere. The staff were helpful, food was great. Will consider going back again.
Beautiful food in a lovely setting. Very enjoyable for my friends special day.
I wonderful atmosphere taking all the safety precautions needed for us to enjoy our meal. Well done!
Ridiculously overpriced. Can't really understand why.
Excellent food, service and ambience. Quiet and not too busy post COVID. It the cheapest lunch (set menu 3 course for $70pp), but well worth it.
Great to get back to Acre for dinner post-lockdown. Really enjoyed the set menu and the great service. A real neighbourhood jewel.
Family lunch for 2 adults and 3 children 6-12 on Acre's second post lockdown day
Some things were different: e-check in, mandatory details left for contact tracing, hand sanitisers, set menu
But what wasn't different was the high quality and locally sourced ingredients, put together in innovative and interesting ways, prepared to their usual high standards and with friendly, efficient and knowledgeable service
We're keen to see how the new Acre evolves and continues to bring together it's high standards and traditions to this post COVID-19 dining environment
Great space for a relaxed Sunday lunch, beautiful cocktails and delicious food. Really goof value as well.
The wagyu steak was beautifully done. The white bean gnocchi ragu special was very tasty. Staff was very friendly and accommodating with our little child.
Good varied on the menu. Fairly priced. Not noisy. Pleasing environment. Felt like we were having a real relaxed family meal. Very comfortable.
Mixed quality of meals. Disappointing that the chicken had run out. The fish was overcooked. The quiche was delicious. Desserts the same Black Forest was dry and mostly Inedible, the mango and coconut cake was great.
This is a fantastic spot to enjoy a meal together in a great atmosphere. It feels like the kind of place that you can relax and enjoy an evening with friends. It is a balance between a young foodie place and a classic restaurant that the whole family could enjoy.
Enjoyed the day - food fabulous, lovely friendly staff
We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon lunch with the kids at the Acre. The Kids menu is thoughtful and reasonably priced. The restaurant caters for all and can be enjoyed by all. Would definitely be back and recommend to others.
Excellent food, service and ambience. The dessert trolley was a highight!
Impressed by the use of reasonably local and also some bush fire affected areas for sourcing ingredients. Having the kitchen garden is also a great food-mile reducing strategy. Good but not extensive menu choices, good wine list and a couple of local craft beer option on tap and packaged.
Service was dreadful. While the wait staff were pleasant enough, it took four goes to get water to the table. The food arrived at different times for different guests. And then adding insult to injury, you charged $20 for a bourbon and coke - outrageous. Also automatically applying a $4.50 fee onto the bill (assuming all your guests are paying by credit card/eftpos).
Food was ordinary to say the least. It all used to be very good so not sure what has happened over the last couple of years.
It was such a lovely place with beautiful surroundings to be found so close to the city. The food was exceptional and definitely a place worth returning to many times.
The food was outstanding and the service courteous, but delivery was slow on a not very busy day. Happily we were not in a hurry.
Great fresh food and tasty drink menu . Great location in Camperdown , feels like your in the country .
Food is awesome here. Love the vibe! they were crazy busy and forgot a couple of things but they made up for it.
Although I have always enjoyed Acre, over the past few years the service has been getting progressively slower. A group of four of us went on Friday night, and although the food was fine, service (both in terms of our pre-dinner drinks, and of the food itself) was terrible - very, very slow. Our wait-person, Jess was very apologetic, and I got the feeling that the kitchen were struggling to cope. Although we were offered free dessert as compensation we couldn't bear the thought of waiting any longer so just had coffee and left - three and a half hours for drinks, entree, main and coffee. A disappointing evening, I thought.
I will start by saying the food here was really really good. Unfortunately, that is where the positive ends. The service was beyond disappointing, we arrived at 7pm and were sat by whom I presume was a greeter as we never saw him again, he took our water order and said someone will be with us soon. 15 minutes later we still had no water and no waiter.
At 19 minutes a waitress turned up to take a drink order, apologised about the water and took our 'arrival' drink order, thankfully a drink server arrived within a few minutes with our sparkling wine.
The waitress returned to take our order, and when the entrees arrived the bread (which they charge $4 per person for) had still not arrived so it was quickly found and brought out.
The tomato carpaccio style starter was delicious, I have no idea where the tomatoes were from but they were full of flavour.
Mains were next and again the food was full of flavour, though the mashed potato was not mashed more smashed, but hey its potato so it was still good, and the pumpkin was truly some of the best pumpkin I have tasted.
It should also be noted that the restaurant layout is one large room seating around 100 people where noise bounces of windows, this is not a place to go for a romantic dinner.
Unfortunately for me, the service was below acceptable and that is why I would not recommend acre.
Had my 70th birthday lunch here which the staff made very special for me, so this week it was our wedding anniversary so decided to come again, we were given complimentary bubbles which was lovely, the staff were very nice and the food great, so different and so tasty and great cannoli😋😋
Our board of directors eat her every quarter and the standard of food and service is always exceptional
First of all, we loved the food! But, the service was the slowest I can remember at any restaurant in Sydney. We waited a minimum of 25 minutes for each drink and after the first course, which came very quickly, we waited for each of the following courses for over half an hour after we had finished each course with our plates from the previous course on our table until the next one arrived
All items ordered from the bread, pork, beef and vegetable dishes were tasty and cooked to perfection. 🙏
We enjoyed the food. All my friends would love to come back. The services need to be improved .
Normally its very noisy, last Friday was good, we could have a conversation.
