Great afternoon tea in excellent venue. Interesting food and very good service. Live piano too!
Jackamo our waiter was amazing and we will certainly be back. Excellent birthday celebration
A perfect end to a wonderful celebration along with six other members of my family. The service was amazing, atmosphere outstanding and food Devine.
Perfect service and delicious food in one of the prettiest rooms anywhere. Hearing Clair de Lune from the pianist set an enchanting atmosphere.
Wonderful food and attentive staff. May be the only slight criticism would be that although the tea is served in a beautiful environment, it has the feeling of being in a hallway with people coming in through entrances on both sides, thus we experienced the occasional draught from the outside doors.
The service was perfect and the food was great. We had our afternoon tea at 5 pm, so some of the cakes seemed a bit dry. But everything else was a wonderful experience
Absolutely fantastic food and service
Afternoon tea at the corinthia was outstanding. We regularly visit the Dorchester and Ritz and Corinthia was better than both. We will definitely recommend and will visit again. It was extremely special, lots of effort into artisan breads and interesting sandwich fillings. The scones were as light as air, the conserves fresh and vibrant. Excellent tea selection, exquisite cakes and delicious champagne served nice and cold. Stunning surroundings, beautiful crockery and very lovely staff. Thank you 🙏🏻
What a fantastic afternoon this was! Luca & Jesper looked after us phenomenally well, the sandwiches were brilliant (egg & truffle was a stand-out for me personally) and the selection of patisserie was simply flawless. The talent in the kitchen must be some of the best in the UK to produce desserts that look as good as that. All the staff were very personable & attentive and made everyone feel welcome.
A lovely afternoon tea. The food and service were amazing and the teas all delicious. The only thing not to our taste was the music being piped through. It was too loud and not really on keeping with the ambiance. At 2:30 a pianist arrived which completely changed the atmosphere but we had to leave at 3. Would definitely return though.
I have had many afternoon teas and this was by far the best I’ve ever had ❤️ Absolutely 5 star service, food and ambiance can’t wait to go back 😀
I went the Corinthia for afternoon tea with my Mum for my birthday - the hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous and has the perfect atmosphere for afternoon tea. The food was very tasty and the selection of greats was superb. The only slightly downside was that we felt quite rushed in our afternoon tea, although our server was polite, when we finished our sandwiches he quickly took the plate away and asked if we would like another 1 or 2 finger sandwiches - when we said we would like another plate he looked at us like we were crazy. Before i had even finished eating my last sandwich, we had been presented with scones, swiftly followed by our cakes, all within the space of a couple of minutes, so we did not get a chance to sit and enjoy the scones in peace. It is a shame we were so rushed as everything else about the afternoon tea was great, we clearly just got unlucky with the service.
Very attentive staff. Not too stuffy. Pianist was great and came over to ask if we had a request.
Wonderful afternoon for my wife's birthday in the beautiful setting of the Corinthia. Superb selection of sandwiches, cakes, scones and, especially, tea. Service was magnificent, location and ambience absolutely first class as is the treatment that you receive as guests in this unbelievable location. I recommend it to all seeking an afternoon in a relaxing atmosphere with fabulous food and drink. I would also advise you to take the champagne to start as it is delicious.
Lovely atmosphere. Service was kind, prompt and the food was great. This was a delicious more traditional tea under a stunning chandelier. Would recommend.
Lovely experience with lovely staff and food was amazing
My daughter and I were there toward the end of reservations for the day. The sandwiches were okay but the bread was dry on the edges. The tea was okay but the service was spotty. Two of the desserts were totally tasteless.
I had asked for a complimentary glass of champagne when I made my reservation but was charged for the glasses of champagne. When I questioned this on the bill I was asked for the coupon. I hadn't received one, the woman waiting on us said she would check on this but never returned with any information.
I have had high tea in other venues in London and would place The Corinthia experience at the bottom of the list.
Had a wonderful experience, booked for my sister’s birthday, great service made you special. Will definitely go back
Me and my mum spent our afternoon here having afternoon tea, was amazing and was blown away how good the desserts were and the amazing sandwiches - the service was also outstanding would 100% recommend.
90th birthday afternoon tea
We had a lovely afternoon at the Corinthia Hotel but regrettably I would have to say that the sandwiches and cakes were average.
On the plus side the staff were very attentive the majority of the time apart from one male waiter who ignored us completely all the time. The girls were excellent.
Overall we had a lovely time due to the surroundings but unfortunately I was not highly impressed with the sandwiches or cakes.
Excellent food and service in a beautiful environment. It was a delight through and through
The cakes and pastries were very average. The choice was disappointing and the flavours did not meet expectations at all. However, the scones and jam were excellent and the sandwiches were ok. Being able to top up as much as we wanted was generous.
Fabulous food and the staff were brilliant, the pianist was also an extra special touch. The measure of good afternoon tea are the scones, and they were delicious!
The service from every member of staff was truly outstanding and I would not hesitate to recommend your hotel. I am already organising a further visit for champagne afternoon tea with my niece as I feel this hotel is the most exceptional in London.
Fantastic service, very attentive. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Great sandwiches and scones - cakes weren’t as good but overall an amazing experience
Had a wonderful time celebrating my sister's birthday. The attentive and kind staff brought her an extra little cake with happy birthday written on the plate which was a lovely little flourish, and they were very accomodating about dietary requirements and our little toddler. The salmon and beef sandwiches were especially good and the scones were a delight! The pear and cinnamon eclair and chocolate mousse were excellent. Would very much recommend- lovely food and service and a beautiful setting for a special occasion!
Beautiful venue, service and food. Absolutely loved it.
From the moment we arrived we were looked after extremely well. The hotel has to be one of my favourite London hotels. The staff were attentive but without fussing. The tea was beautifully presented and delicious. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff. A very enjoyable afternoon and one that I would very much love to repeat.
Beautiful dining area and wonderful staff. We came for the valentines special and I received a lovely rose. Compared to other places I’ve been to, some of the sandwiches could have had a bit more filling and the bread was a bit dry for a couple of them. However the egg truffle sandwich was to die for! Scones were perfect and pastries were delicious.
Overall an excellent afternoon and very special.
Had a really nice valentines afternoon tea. The staff were really amazing and made sure we had a nice time.
We booked the Valentine's Afternoon tea for the 14/2/20 and we thoroughly enjoyed our day. The service was impeccable and all the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a good time. The tea and food were first class and asking for extra was no issue at all. One of the Managers also went out of their way to take us on a tour of the hotels other amenities.
The beautiful elegant Corinthia hotel is a stunning place to have afternoon tea. A beautiful selection of pastries and sandwiches, attentive kind staff and lovely music being played in the background by a pianist. The staff brought out a small cake with a candle for my parties birthday, a lovely touch. Thank you and we shall be back!
Very friendly and courteous service in a very nice environment, excellent dishes served with great attention to detail. The best afternoon tea we have had in London so far !
Violettas attention was excellent her colleagues were under par in comparison . Just little things , didn’t explain flavours of jam , didn’t ask if another drink was required , etc . sandwich selection good but not the freshest. The second offering much fresher. Loved the room , will come back !
The food and setting were good but the service was poor. It felt chaotic, we waited a long time to be served and for items to arise when we had ordered them. We were then presented with the bill and told our time was up in 15 mins which would have been fine had the staff not disappeared and there been no one to take our money so we could release our table! For the money better service was expected.
Food was lovely and staff very nice. Had a small issue with the table they gave us being too low and this being a issue due to back problems but they rearranged things and gave us another table. Very nice would recommend.
Visiting London for our 50 th wedding anniversary and our daughter who works in the city suggested this venue.
The staff were very attentive and moved us to a table in the middle under the stunning chandelier . Every thing was magic
We had an outstanding afternoon tea at the Corinthia this week. I’m a seasoned afternoon tea tester in London and this is one I would recommend going back to. The afternoon was made by Viola our waiter who was absolutely wonderful.
It’s a great experience to have afternoon tea here!!
