Beautiful space, impeccable service, truly creative upscale food. A standout dish is the Gorgonzola cheesecake on the dessert menu. I will be dreaming of that until I return. I highly recommend Allora and their wonderful staff. Thank you for making our evening so special!

Allora is always a joy! One of our favorite places, we had a 66th birthday dinner for two. We chose the 5 course meal, each having different courses and sharing along with wine pairings for each dish. Our server, Nick, was very informative and kind. The sommelier, Lee, was a gem! We asked her to make a half glass paring of wine for each dish and they were all wonderful! I like to think I know something about wine, but except for one glass, I was totally unfamiliar with the grape varietal of each. Great job!

Overall the service is top notch. Always a clean table, never any left over plates or used silverware. Refills on waters were prompt and the cocktails are amazing. What can I say about the food. It’s mouth watering and has a great balance of flavors. The staff is extremely knowledgeable on the menu and makes the dinning experience fantastic.

This is hands down the best restaurant for a special occasion or just a night out. They make you feel special and make a memorable experience. They are very creative with the menu food and drinks. Everything comes together so elegantly!

Excellent service and the food was amazing. The small subtleties made a big difference. Like filling my glass with beer (10 oz glass, 16oz beer) then coming back later with a fresh beer to fill again instead of an opened, flat beer. Food is outstanding. Every employee that came to our table was more than professional and polite

No question that it is expensive but you get what you pay for and the food is 1st rate and the service attentive and professional. I believe our waiter’s name was Nick. Best service ever, thanks!

Food was good, and service was great. Your paying for an experience and not to get full. Portion sizes could be larger for the price. I left the restaurant satisfied but not full. I usually don't eat again after dinner, but needed a snack before bed. That being said I would return again and recommend.

Excellent vibes, service was pretty good. Food was good, but overpriced. The value is not there. Did the 4 courses, and 2 drinks each, nearly $500. I’ve done prix fixe in places like Washington DC and the food at Allora, while good, just didn’t match with the prices. I wouldn’t go back simply because I don’t want to pay that much for what we got.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Allora. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive. I didn’t feel pressured to make my selections according to someone else’s pace. Each course was perfectly plated and all the flavors blended well. I will definitely return.

We live in Austin, Texas, but we've celebrated two very special occasions at Allora: our 25th anniversary in 2022 and my husband's 70th birthday this year. The experience was exquisite both times. You will want to pause, close your eyes, and relish the flavors. We appreciated the wait staffs' friendly and unobtrusive service. The sommelier was charming and truly expert. We got the wine pairings with our dishes. My husband pooh-poohed one her choices initially, then later had to admit that she'd been right and had chosen the perfect wine. She had a great sense of humor about it. Put yourself in her hands; you won't regret it. Allora is not inexpensive, but well worth it for those special occasions. In fact, we loved it and the Sacramento food scene so much, we're moving!

We had high expectations when we made the reservation. The idea is good, but the food was just so/so. Our wine sommalier was timid and not helpful. Wait staff were attentive. Best thing we can say. Four guests for over $1000 should have been better. Keep trying, but not sure we will return.

The food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed every single dish. I do think there is a discrepancy on portion size between entrées and appetizers in the same category. For instance, the octopus on the gnocchi is a substantial bite, which is delicious but the duck pate is a very tiny Serving. I was full and my husband left hungry …

Went for a special occasion. The restaurant is lovely and the service was very good. However, considering the price the food was underwhelming. My brother is a Ritz Carlton chef and my husband managed high end restaurants. We enjoy travel and have both been fortunate to eat at many amazing restaurants over the years. We were very excited tobe spending this very special evening at Allora. We are very sad to say that we wont be returning,

We were looking forward to tasting the 5 course tasting menu at Allora. My wife and I,along with a couple we dined with, are foodies and we really look forward to try new restaurants. This was our first visit here, and unfortunately, it’ll probably be our last. Our server was very pleasant, but she seem to have a lot of tables and quite busy. Although we knew this restaurant was very expensive… Usually the food matches the price point, but not in this case. We all agreed the portions were quite small, most of our dishes were bland and lacked definite seasoning, and many of the menu descriptions did not fit what we received on the plate. For instance, the three day cooked short rib came out, looking and tasting, like a steak, the scallop appetizer had no flavor at all, and the risotto was over cooked and extremely salty. The server mentioned that has happened before and offered us a different entrée, but we declined. We were very disappointing in this dining experience, and we hope other patrons do not experience what we did… Hopefully, we were just there on a bad night (Sunday)

The restaurant provides a fixed menu and you choose the number of courses with a minimum of three courses. We are outdoors and enjoyed five courses. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious and well presented. They conveniently add 20% for the server tip and 3% for the kitchen staff to the bill so it is easy to reward the great service. I recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

We have dined at Allora several times and we are always blown away by the great food and service. The Italian inspired dishes (or maybe I should say Southern European) are perfectly balanced and focused on seasonal ingredients. The service is impeccable - warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. I always have the sommelier choose a wine for use and have never been disappointed and now have many wines I have added to my own buying for home. You can’t go wrong whether it is a special occasion or just feel like you need to really treat yourself.

We’ve been to French Laundry and The Kitchen, and Allora is by far the best. The combination of service and food is incredible. The customization and special orders were memorable and amazing. They are deserving of a Michelin Star.

Not worth the price. My wife and I set Nobu as the bar. The food is more expensive and doesn't taste as good as Nobu. So the value really isn't there. The staff was very nice and accommodating however. The location was a bit out of place for a high end restaurant.

I am not sure if Sacramento has a lack of GREAT places to eat or if most reviewers of Allora just say it's great because they paid $95 to $165 person for a meal. Just because a meal for 2 is $400.00 does not make it 4.5 stars. There truly was not one thing about this meal that would make me want to go back or recommend it. I have seriously had MUCH better Italian food at "hole in the wall" Italian restaurants. I have NO problem paying whatever for a great meal but I left Allora feeling ripped off. People let's be honest, just because a meal is a little pricey and the portion sizes are tiny does NOT make it GOOD (ESPECIALLY not GREAT)! I mean I would understand the SMALL portion sizes IF the food taste/quality made up for it. The one (and ONLY) truth to most of these reviews is that the quality of service is impeccable!
