My experience at the Alpha restaurant was marked by ups and downs. The initially promising atmosphere was overshadowed by the intimidating attitude of the waitress who served us. Her rude demeanour and sour expression made our meal uncomfortable, leaving us feeling like we were intruding. Furthermore, when attempting to use a gift card we received from friends as a wedding anniversary present, we encountered difficulties when paying. The waitress appeared unprepared and incapable of handling the card, which forced me to step in to explain the correct usage. However, I was extremely disappointed to find out that the restaurant only allowed the use of 90 dollars from the 100-dollar gift card. This restriction seemed unfair and even ridiculous, as there's no way to use the remaining 10 dollars elsewhere. Feeling like I lost money and being short changed as a customer on this important occasion was deeply frustrating. Although the food was satisfactory, its quality wasn't able to compensate for the disappointing experience we had. It's regrettable that a night meant to be special was tarnished by issues with the service and the restaurant's payment policies.

Wonderful food. Greek cuisine is often overlooked when looking for a special night out, highly recommend you don’t though. The food at Alpaha was mouth watering delicious and a very enjoyable change for the sea of Asian and Italian cuisines. 10 out of 10!

We had a nice meal - the best of our 3 in Sydney BUT “All our meals are designed for sharing”. Sure. How on earth can 4 people share the eggplant moussaka with scallops and do it justice?? It arrives at the table beautifully assembled - like an eggplant sandwich with filling in between the eggplant layers - then we have to hack at it with our blunt knives to try to make 4 portions that are then messily scooped onto individual plates. So everyone gets this messy blob that still tastes good but looks terrible. I get it that making us share makes it easier in the kitchen but if I am going to put up with having to share my choices or suffer my companions choices then you have to make it easy.

Overall a very enjoyable evening We were seated near a service cupboard / drawer that understandably waiters needed to access but from a patron point of view especially given the higher class of the restaurant, was annoying. The waiter kindly located us and then it was great A little expensive for a Greek Restaurant but was one can’t compare city to suburb prices Again, overall we had a great time. Food and wine were excellent

This was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious elegant Greek. The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive, it made the night great. The decor is gorgeous and comfortable. We were even given a complimentary dessert which was a wonderful surprise. We will return.

An early booking for dinner for four - service was excellent from the start and great help in choosing our wine (Greek) - all good from there - very good food (although we ordered far too much) - complimented by a superb Greek white and a red - all very good (slow roasted lamb shoulder, roast chicken, prawns etc) - and fairly reasonably priced
