Food was great, service was outstanding. I'm looking forward to going back!
My only disappointment was that the paella was too soft; normally great paella has that wonderful crunchy bottom and we did not get that.
All food was good. Lamb meatballs delicious. All greens were good. I love octopus and get it whenever I can. Amada's was good but not fabulous. A little overdone. The service was excellant and atmosphere is great. Will be back.
We went here on change. Walk by and decide to get a reservation. It was amazing. Out server was excellent and the food as some of the best I had in the city. Will definitely be returning.
Amada is always such a pleasure--the food, the service, and the ambiance. Always out top spot!!! Highly recommended!!! And, dining is well spaced out for safety--an added plus.
They ran out of things in the menue. granted our reservation was at 9pm. Our server acted like she didn't want us there. Drinks and food were good
Overall wonderful experience. Save room for the roast pork, it was probably the best pork I’ve had in my life!
Made a reservation for Saturday at 2:45 and attempted to call the restaurant directly for an entire week prior to the reservation. Left 4-5 voicemails asking for a return phone call as I had questions about the 2:45 time as it was the very end of brunch...Happy Hour and Dinner didn't start until 4:00 PM. I wanted to know if at some point during our visit we would be able to have any of the tapas from the dinner menu as "breakfast" dishes at 2:45 PM were not really what we wanted - but we took the only reservation they had. Had I been told "brunch only" - I likely would have cancelled.
I received a voice mail the AM of our reservation being told our party of 6 would have to be split into 4 INSIDE tables as there was a "threat of rain". No rain in the forecast. Philadelphia was a sunny, gorgeous 80 degrees. I was asked to call back - so I called the restaurant's number which was left in the message - and AGAIN - the same voicemail I had heard all week.
We arrived at Amada to see all outdoor seating had been set up - and we were all seated together OUTSIDE. Our server promptly informed us when we sat down that we had 15 minutes to get our order in for anything "hot " that we wanted because then the kitchen would no longer make anything - they were closing until the dinner hour. We scrambled to piece together a few tapas and beverages for the group.
The drinks were tasty and the few tapas that we ordered were good - although basic (and not the tapas we really hoped to be able to experience). The manager, Anna, did come out to speak with me as I had mentioned to the hostess how I had been trying to reach them all week and had not been called. She apologized and I heard "COVID, short-staffed...etc." I get it -really I do. I manage a medical office and we, too, have been short-staffed, however, we have not let it affect our customer service. I can't imagine no one listened to the voicemails about reservations ALL WEEK. Reservations = customers = income.
It was so good the first time so we had to return. Brunch with friends. Had another amazing meal. Love this place. Great food, great service, atmosphere and staff. Will definitely return,
All I can say is wow!! Food and service were absolutely excellent. Shout out to the host last night that was going above and beyond to make sure everyone was accommodated. There was a storm coming in and he made sure everyone sitting at tables outside had extra umbrellas and were covered and dry! Our server was great, attentive but relaxed at the same time. Always a pleasure dining at Amada!
Went for our anniversary and everything was excellent.
Decent for a change of scenery from the normal but the service was lacking badly. Waitress never stuck around for long and couldn't seem to remember whose drink was whose or what was on the brunch prie fixe menu. Plates came out randomly or not at all and we needed to practically beg them for certain parts of the meal including salad. Mostly because our waitress was not super attentive at all. Might come back for happy hour but not worth it for the price we paid for Easter brunch sadly. Also the table next to us never got their entres at all even after we were getting up to leave and they got there around the same time we did.
Multiple orders mixed up — wrong food brought to the table so many times that we stopped mentioning it to avoid the awkwardness and wasting food. Also, the waitress was rather defensive about her mistakes rather than graciously accepting them. Tip- have waiters/waitresses repeat orders to ensure they are correct and avoid such mistakes. It’s understandable to happen once during a meal but several times is unheard of.
Ordered the tasting menu for our anniversary. A variety of wonderful tapas!
Food and service was excellent
As always great food and service!
It was perfect the service was great. And the food was amazing.
Great food and atmosphere, with good social distancing
Amazing brunch! Loved all the tapas.
Everything was great, food and service, megan was great
Food was very good but not great for Spanish good. The Paella was subpar. Mostly all rice...
Love this place and it's variety
The service and ambience were very good and the tapas were excellent. We enjoyed dinner on Sat so much, we came back Sunday for brunch. The sangria pancakes were delicious.
As our favorite restaurant since its opening Amada has not changed much. It continues to deliver tapas that generally consistent.
Outstanding as always! My favorite restaurant undefeated!
just excellent tapas.......not to mention the sangria blanca!
Happy hour menu, service and location were perfect!
Never disappoints.
Eating out is such a rare occurrence these days, it’s great to know that old favorites are still with us!!!
We did brunch outside.
Good was wonderful; service always top notch.
Amazing experience.
The ambiance was nice for brunch. The waitress recommended the shashuka which we all got and it was quite bad. It was more of a tomato soup than anything. The cocktails were good and the atmosphere is nice. Would not recommended the breakfast food but the tapas would be good for a happy hour.
My sister was in town from Richmond,Va and I really wanted to show her a good time. The service and food was wonderful. The Octopus was tender and succulent my sister really enjoyed the mushrooms and scallops.
Food was delicious, especially the short rib flatbread. Service was great, not overly intrusive but we never had to wait to order another round of tapas.
Always excellent food.
Best food ever!!! I always have a great experience when I go. The portions are on the smaller side so I recommend getting a few items. The Mushroom rice is to DIE FOR.
I’ve loved amada and been many times, however the quality in food has gone downhill. Service excellent as always, kind, friendly wait staff. Sadly, either the food of our choice was “out” or just lack the flavors they’ve had in the past. Due to this, we felt it was significantly overpriced for what we ate this time.
Anniversary
Second time here. Was delicious. However, do not recommend the Julieta - was so spicy I could barely drink it. That’s my only critique!
We were seated inside directly in front of the doors to outside that were completely wide open. We asked if they would shut the doors as it was extremely windy and cold and they said no. It defeated the purpose of sitting inside, we were freezing, our food got cold. It's a shame because it would have been much more enjoyable.
We’re truly sorry the open door took away from your brunch experience. Unfortunately, our staff did need access to tables being served outdoors and this was one of our first days operating outdoors. We did take your feedback seriously and erected a plexiglass barrier to break wind later that afternoon, though I understand that it was too late to make a difference in your brunch. Please reach out to us so that we can make sure your next visit is perfect in every way. We appreciate your support.
Me and my wife love Amada. Always a great time and great food
It's been so long since we ate at a restaurant, and we were hoping Amada would still be good. Very pleased to report that everything was wonderful! The food, the service, the ambiance (tables in back separated by dark-colored curtains--very romantic!).
We will be back!!!
