The most delicious dinner ever!!!!

Such a superb dining experience. Special thank you to the chef for the amazing food and dining experience. The entire staff was hospitable and truly went over and beyond to ensure that everyone was catered to.

The heater worked poorly.
When I wanted a green veg instead of potatoes with my chicken, I as told there was only a small portion of potatoes. So I said OK. Half the plate was potatoes. I was annoyed - and very cold.

I went there for my birthday celebration. The ambience and food were amazing. But most of all, the staff was so great, cheerful and pleasant, I’d go back just for that reason. There were two other birthday parties at the restaurant that night and the servers bring out complimentary shots for all guests at the celebrating table.

Chef's tasting for 2, for a special birthday celebration was a disaster. First it was so cold and they did not even make a proper seating arrangement outdoors. Secondly, the food was so under-par, I was embarrassed at making this reservation. Quite a way to upsell somethere that isn't. NOT recommended !!!

The restaurant is outstanding. They are working with what they have, which is a mayor too lazy, or too stupid to recognize that dining indoors with a brand new ventilation system is far less risky than sitting outside with propane burning space heaters; pedestrians continuously walking by unmasked diners; and air circulation based on Mother Nature.

Open up indoor dining, you mope.

But again, no complaints about Amali. Staff was courteous and attentive. Food was exception. Sommelier was knowledgable.

Just let us sit inside when it's 35 degrees out, De Blasio, you dope.

Dining in the time of Covid, you look first for heaters and THEN check the menu. Thank heavens Amali had the heaters, because I would have hated to miss this experience! From the killer hot mulled wine to the creamy but crispy sunchoke app, and the supremely juicy chicken to the honeyed cauliflower side, almost everything was top-notch. One quibble: my daughter's shakshuka featured an egg that wasn't poached so much as hard-boiled. And the prices are not low. But totally worth it. I'll be back, and this time I'll bring guests who want to try out some of the interesting Greek wines on their list!

What a great experience, in this crazy time that we are living, our outside dining was so comfortable on a freezing day. We were warm and felt safe. Food was delicious and staff was outstanding

Food was at best mediocre. Not worth the value for the price of the entrees. Even something as simple as spaghetti was poorly made.

Fantastic experience, their outdoor setup is beautiful, safe, and warm, with super friendly staff. The food was superb - we enjoyed the tasting menu, so fresh and creative and delicious! Will definitely be back!

Wonderful dining experience! A surprisingly hidden gem on E 60th St! The food was delicious and we had very attentive service :) Everyone we had contact with was so warm, professional and passionate (service was 5 stars)!
All suggestions were spot on, heaters and the outdoor dining experience in 30 degrees was enjoyable..
We all commented that based on our experience at Amali we could handle dining el fresco this winter if we could have the same experience at other restaurants!!

The food was amazing. We had the branzino which was prepared perfectly. Loved the mint and capers in the sauce and not one bone. It’s expensive but worth the price. Loved the octopus as well -deliciously seasoned and crisped to perfection. Everything was delicious. Drinks very good too. Pricey but worth it. Fish and food better than Avra.

Quality outdoor sent up. It is open-air enough that you dont feel closed in but warm enough that you are not cold.

The food was INCREDIBLE and interesting. The waiters gave great wine suggestions that weren't outrageously expensive and paired so lovely with our food. We got the tuna toro, spanish octopus, lamb cavatelli, salt-baked dorade, labneh, delicata squash, and cauliflower. For dessert, the olive oil cake was moist and delicious with a great balance between citrus and the olio. (Also got the thyme sorbet) They gave me a special dark chocolate napoleon-like pastry and played fun music. As the last customers of the evening and celebrating a birthday, they asked us what music we wanted and generally were respectful and helpful without being overbearing.

Outdoor seating had a good ambiance with greenery installed, and I felt very safe from a COVID perspective. Everyone wore masks and didn't hover longer than necessary.

In the end, four of us paid about $130-140 for two bottles of incredible wine, a crazy good and over-the-top feast, and an additional 20-25% tip on top of the 10% tip applied for parties above 5 people. Two days later, I am still in a good mood and dreaming of this meal. Best birthday ever! I have already suggested Amali to multiple friends (and we're pretty picky but adventurous eaters) and plan on going back!

The service was outstanding, and the food was excellent. The bread and feta spread that was brought out first are worth the trip. The branzino for two was perfectly prepared and comes with two vegetable sides. I preferred the broccoli to the delicata squash. For dessert, my husband and I shared the tiganethes (fried bread) were subtly sweetened by the raw honey. A perfect ending to a lovely meal.

My friend and I had an absolutely fabulous experience at Amali. All the staff were attentive to our dietary needs, friendly, and provided overall excellent customer service. I would definitely return.

Honestly even better than pre pandemic. Our experience was off the charts. Even our picky eaters and our vegan were thrilled. The chef personally came out twice to discuss options. The service was so attentive. Food was truly excellent

We were a party of 5 and had a great experience eating outside at Amali. The staff is incredibly friendly and very passionate about what they do. Amazing gluten-free options. Definitely an up and coming restaurant in nyc.

Food and service were both excellent. The chef was incredibly hands on and brought the entrees out personally, which was a really nice touch. We sat inside and felt completely comfortable - the tables are well spaced out and the dining room is beautiful. We live in the neighborhood and will be back often.
