I met up with a friend at Amelia’s for dinner and drinks. First, our server was amazing. He gave us recommendations based off of food that he enjoyed, and I’m glad that my friend and I went with his choice. ALL of his selections were delicious. The drinks were delicious and not watered down at all. Would definitely come back again!
Our meal took two (2) plus hours to arrive to the table! Even the kids’ meals took two hours. Food was mediocre. Very disappointing.
Had to wait too long between appetizers and entree. Also wasn't asked if we wanted another drink. Despite this one time occurrence I will still continue to patronize.
We usually love this place, and have our go to dishes. Not sure if the chef changed or was just having a bad night, but our food was mediocre at best.
Very nice staff
Food was on time and delicious
I'm Italian-American so I don't think it's very hard to make decent salads or pastas. The food taste and flavor wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. I've had food that was equally good and more abundant at other family style restaurants for about 30% less than Amelia's. The restaurant is lovely and very elegant, but a bit pricey with food that I would rate at a 6 out of 10. I probably wouldn't go back just because the value proposition wasn't there. I had a caesar salad that was pretty much bland and flavorless. My partner had a chicken/mushroom pasta alfredo, the pasta was gummy and the sauce was broken and greasy. I had a rigatoni bolognese that wasn't bad, but was far from the best i've had. The other person in our party had the special of Paella which was $48 for a tiny, and I mean tiny pan of rice and shellfish and a small lobster tail. In short, mediocre food that was overpriced in an elegant setting.
We were there with a friend and everything was wonderful. Our server, Erin, was terrific and provided us with a great evening.
Absolutely delicious. We were promptly seated and as we were celebrating our 42nd anniversary, our waitress brought us complimentary champagne! What a nice touch. ( when making the reservation on Open Table, I hade mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary) My scallop with corn risotto dinner was the best I have ever had. My husband's sirloin and crab cake was delicious as well. We were not rushed at all and our waitress was attentive but not overbearing. Carrot cake for dessert was amazing. Amelia's just bumped up to my #1 favorite restaurant!
Great spot, good food and great service!
Amelia's was "OK". Food was plentiful, well presented, fresh but not particularly tasty or innovative. Perhaps had we selected differently - seemed as though they had a good carnivore menu of steaks and chops which we did not utilize - it might have been better. Bread basket was pretty uninteresting - but plenty of it. The decor and surroundings were well put together - it just became very noisy as it filled up. Service was very good. Value was excellent - prices were completely reasonable for food and drinks. While I personally might not visit again, it would be a safe choice for a group wanting a solid meal and chance to hang out together in an upscale setting without expecting culinary brilliance.
Excellent service, very friendly staff. Would highly recommend to anyone and everyone, fantastic food and ambience!
The food here is spectacular and prices are reasonable given the quality of the menu. Our waiter Joseph was a class act and very congenial and knowledgable.
We highly recommend Amelia's.
Disappointed. Half the menu was sold out. Loud place
Everything was great! We received a call earlier in the week to verify our reservation. We had a larger party on Mother’s Day, so I was not sure we would even get a reservation. However, they put us in a private room and we had an excellent server. Everyone loved their meals and they were super accommodating to be able to split the. Heck between three of us. Will definitely go back, recommend this to others, and keep it as a great place for special occasions.
We dine here several times before, each time the food was very good, except for a mango drink we had that didn't taste anything like mango. apart from that everything was good. will dine here again, and also recommend this restaurant to friends.
Keep up the good work.
It was a great experience... Delicious Food with great people
We have been here twice before and the experience was very good. However for Mother’s Day the experience was very disappointing. We arrived at 130 for our reservation and we waited 10 minutes for two other people in our party. Once they arrived it took nearly an hour for appetizers and an hour for main course. We didn’t leave until close to 4 pm. It was not over crowded do not sure the issue
This was a Mother’s Day lunch. Since there were 8 of us we sat in a big room with other large parties. The table next to us had about 16. All of the other tables in the room had at least six. It was very loud and very crowded. But the service was awesome and the food was good. A bit pricey. $70 per person with only 4 of the 8 having alcohol. Next time I go (and there will be a next time) I will request the restaurant side where it seemed to be a lot quieter.
My wife and I have been going to Amelia’s regularly for the past few years. The food is consistently great and the bartender definitely pours generous drinks! The service is good, as well. I have recommended it to many people, who also tell me that they had a great experience.
After a number of visits, very disappointed. Waited a significant amount of time for our meals with server twice telling us that the kitchen was “backed” up. Our party of four was seated in a smaller room adjacent to a party of more than 10. Noise level was unacceptable, almost unbearable. All in all, not a very pleasant dining experience.
Wow cannot understand the hype over this place; first time here tonight; made a reservation 2 weeks ago and requested a booth or quiet table. They sat us in the middle of a dining room with 2 parties of 14+ and multiple tables with kids. Talked twice to the hostess who said she talked with the manager who never came to our table. So loud could not even talk to my family across from me (we were a party of 5). Food was average at best; too many better restaurants in Boston and Providence, even Taunton than this place; will not be back. Obviously they do not care. It was embarrassing to bring my family here and to be treated this way. My husband ordered a filet--8 oz looked like 4 oz over cooked and served with 3 asparagus for $41..really?? Can get a better steak at Outback for 1/2 the price!!!
Always good, frequent this place all the time and have had just about everything on the menu! My favorite is the Lamb Ribs. I just wish they would change the menu once in a while or offer specials. But one of the best restaurants in this area; a must try!
Food was very good. Our waitress was very friendly and didn’t bother us a million time while we were eating. Place was very clean and a great atmosphere. Definitely be going back.
Great food and atmosphere!
First off, to have a restaurant like this in Stoughton is a real hidden gem. You walk in and forget where you are, you feel like you are more important and classier just for being there. From the hosts seating us, to the service throughout dinner, my girlfriend and I were very impressed.
Our waitress was very kind and attentive, and asked us while we were enjoying some wine and charcuterie if we wanted to have our main dishes held to give us more time to enjoy the wine and cheese. We said yes please and got some more time to enjoy each other’s company and relax. They in no way were trying to rush us out to seat the next party. Some restaurants make you feel like a heard of cattle, but not Amelia’s. Now, one of the dishes we ordered were from the tapas menu. It was the lamb chops and after she had asked if we wanted our other food held, our waitress came back and apologized because all the other dishes could be held but the lamb chops had to come out. We said no problem and weren’t phased by it at all. The lamb chops were delicious and cooked perfectly by the way.
So we finished dinner and decided to get some dessert. It came out and we enjoyed it and it was time to ask for the check. So our waitress came over with the bill and told us because of her (tiny) mistake on them not being able to hold the lamb chops, our dessert was on the house. This is where our experience went from a 7.9/10 to a 9.1-10. It’s because we never complained, we didn’t ask for any compensation for such a minute error. I don’t even qualify it as an error. But in that moment you realize that there are still restaurants and people who take pride in what they do and who they are. We still would have rated our dinner well, but now it’s exceptional. I wish my memory was better so I could give a personal shout out to our waitress, but this is my shout out to Amelia’s and their entire amazing staff they have. We will recommend and come back for as long as we live close. Thank you all very much
Very good atmosphere, food and experience
Our server Kelly was friendly, efficient and all-in-all wonderful! And our bar server (don’t know her name) is Always fantastic! Love the GG bone dry martini! We purchase gift certificates in bulk for gifts and sometimes treat ourselves - which we did tonight!
My wife and I came here for our 28th wedding anniversary. We were promptly greeted and seated with two glasses of Prosecco in recognition of the occasion. We started with the Ricotta Stuffed Meatballs and for entrees ordered the Pappardelle and 8-ounce Filet Mignon. For desert we had the New York Cheesecake and Vanilla Ice Cream Bowl.
The waitress was friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was perfect for the occasion. This is on our list of places we will return to.
Two of the five meals at out tabel were not edible, scallops and tuna tasted like old fish.
A little off the beaten path, but the food here is some of the best in the Greater Boston area. Our server, Joseph, was prompt and attentive. Well worth a visit!
Took a long time to serve drink, then longer to serve food. But the worst thing was that my appetizer was brought 10 minutes before my husband’s, and then after a long time his main course came 15 minutes before mine, so in each case one was eating while the other just sat there. Not a fun night. We called the manager, who took some items off our bill, but the waitress never apologized or even seemed to care.
Always high quality experience.
Very nice place. Small portions. Pricey. The food was delicious and it came out relatively fast.
Amelia's is the best restaurant in the neighborhood.
We loved the relaxed feel of this place. We definitely will return to try more dishes. Our waitperson was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu items we had inquired about. We went to Amelia's to celebrate my fiances birthday , it was a Tuesday night so it wasn't a "busy" weekend night out which was a big plus, it was very intimate. The food was delicious!! The cocktails, perfect, right down to the wine served with dinner.
this is one of our favorite local restaurant, food and drinks are always good. Love the place
We had a multiple birthday celebration and it was a perfect night! Food and service outstanding!
Arrived 10 minutes early for 615 reservation for 6 people and promptly seated. Almost immediately found the room we were in was very loud partially do to the large number of children in the room.
Immediately asked for a different table in another area and they were able to accomadate our request cordially.
Overall the food and service was excellent.
Would highly recommend and will return.
Amelia´s used to be very good in food and cleanliness wise. They have made some changes to the food not for the better. They have changed what used to be great pizza to what looked and tasted like a cheap frozen one. Calamari was tough. Their desserts also used to be great. They have changed those as well. Cheesecake tasted gelatinous and not fresh. The tables in lounge were dusty and do not appear to have had a good clean in some time.
