The food and drinks were absolutely fantastic. 2 kinds of cocktails tried, oysters, steak tartar, beats and burrata, ravioli…
Service was a bit slow, we were almost finished with appetizers before our drinks arrived.
Don’t think the waiter was expecting us to order as much as we did … probably could have ordered more if they paid more attention to us …
The most GORGEOUS view of NYC!!! We sat outside and had drinks (def order The Smoke Signal…delicious!) oysters and dinner….the most perfect night!!
Checked this place out for our anniversary. Great location by the water. Excellent wait staff. Loved the menu selection and our food was delicious. So will definitely be going back!
very good service.
very good service.
Such an amazing restaurant!! Been twice and had incredible food and service both times! The views are amazing and I cannot believe how friendly the employees are. Highly recommend!!
We have been there a handful of times with different people. Everyone likes it. Men's room only has urinals, so if you need to do something else, sorry. It's like Larry's coffee shop on Curb.
Waiter forgot about us after drink order. Had to calldown someone else who took our order.
Had to ask for straws drinks and waters multiple times each. However service when they were at our table was kind and great demeanor.
Food: left a lot to be desired.
Epically at this inflated price point. The fries were under cooked.
The fried Chicken was an odd puffy style and fell completely off the breast.
Lobster roll: for $28 is was all bun and heaps of Mayo. Wayyy less meet than the rolls Greenpoint lobster or anywhere in the city.
Salmon Benedict on potatoe cakes was okay. A bit over the top and base was more like a crispy hash brown with vanilla added. Delicious overall but too heavy w bernaise sauce, egg yolk and salmon.
Biscuit appetizer : very good and savory. $5 for a single biscuit, should have been $3.
In general menu needs a little more diversity. Too many heavy options.
Salad is typically excellent but I’ve gotten last 2 times because it’s the only light option.
Music: way to clubby for 11am. We want up beat, not club music and hits from 2015.
Major take away: not consistency. Something as simple as the fries which we loved the first time we’re soggy the next two times. I can Mt recommend this restaurant if the experience is so hit or miss.
Exceptional service and cuisine. Staff went out of their way to make sure our party of 10 had a perfect Sunday brunch celebration for my Grandma’s 100th birthday. Warmest appreciation for making our dining experience wonderful!
Service needs improvement, the timing between courses was too long and not timed well. Atmosphere was beautiful. Food was good, not outstanding.
We opted for outdoor seating. The weather was nice. The food was very good. The prices were reasonable. The view of the city is nice. There are some food trucks that park there in the way but you can still see the skyline and there's a nice outlet to walk on to some piers by the water and is romantic and beautiful! There was a family with some kids and they were running around but they did their best to keep them at the table. Service was perfect. Wait staff was excellent. Some unique and tasty food choices. Great date restaurant.
Great location facing the East River, but overpriced for the mediocre quality of food.
The food was excellent! Loved the steak tartare and the focaccia with ricotta apps! The LI duck entree was fantastic. The general manager, Pablo, took exceptional care of us! They were so busy on a Saturday night, we weren’t able to be seated at the time of our reservation. Because of this disruption and inconvenience to our plans, Pablo made sure that we were given impeccable service. He brought out a number of complimentary items that were all terrific and made our night special!
The service was disappointing, they brought me something that I never ordered, the drinks are definitely overpriced, I’m not coming back .
Wonderful server Edward and staff was very attentive ! Outside near waterfront was spectacular with many passers-by . Brunch biscuit and sticky bun were a real treat to start and split between 4 of us . Brioche bread was delicious on lobster roll and friends enjoyed BLTs . Great array of specialty and refreshing cocktails .
Always an amazing time at AB! Food is fabulous. Service is exceptional. And it was the best way to celebrate my best friend's birthday!
Our server, Jose, was absolutely amazing! Made our wedding anniversary so memorable! The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, everything was fabulous!
This is my second time at Brass. I had to bring my husband after I went with a friend. Again it was a wonderful experience. The wait staff is excellent. The manager came over to introduce himself which was nice. He really logged some miles working last night. He was on top of everything going on in the restaruant.
Quality food and service are outstanding ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This restaurant never disappoints. The food is excellent, the wait staff generous and knowledgeable. The setting by gantry park is lovely. This is our go to restaurant when we’re in Long Island city
This was a disappointing birthday dinner. Our waiter was nice but that’s where it ends. The only thing that was not salty was the Focaccia bread-and we ordered one for an appetizer and one when we realized our food wasn’t coming out and we were starving.
The food was so salty, from the shrimp cocktail to the cavatelli, which we sent back and received a new one that’s was basically the same dish diluted. Fake crab meat as well.
We were comped for that dish and given free dessert-not great either.
Sooooo.. we won’t be coming back here. I know that the restaurant business has suffered through COVID and this may be part of the issue.
Visiting from Boston. We sat at an outdoor table - there were 7 of us - for our friend's birthday dinner. The menu is VERY unique and there is a lot of seafood and high-end meat, both of which are not my favorite, so it was a challenging menu for me but I am PICKY AF and I would imagine it's an amazing menu for most people. I ended up getting the tortellini w/hen and it was actually outstanding. Everyone at the table had an amazing meal. The REAL amazing experience was the service. Our server and the bus-staff were beyond amazing. I was beyond impressed with them cleaning up the table (this was huge for me, because you spill as you eat) to bringing new dishes/silverware. This restaurant cares about creating a really AMAZING restaurant experience. Our server knew the menu very well - again, you can tell this restaurant cares about enabling their staff on how to talk about the menu/ingredients in the dishes. Overall great experience, I would recommend !
One of my favorite restaurants at LIC like the vibe there
The staff is friendly and helpful and accommodating. The food is delicious!
Food is average and over priced. Cocktails took forever to arrive ( almost finished our meal) and are watered down and barely have any alcohol in them ( and I am a super light weight…). When I was there they didn’t have air condition inside on the hottest day of the year. They could use some bugs/ mosquito control if they are going to sit you right next to their plants outside, which is nice for ambience but less comfortable when you constantly swat mosquitos away…. Oh, and they add 20% gratuity to the bill automatically and without asking you first.
Great food, great service, would definitely go again
We came for my fiancé’s birthday and the staff was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious, as were the cocktails. We’ll definitely be back!
I love this place! The half price wine night was amazing and the duck, wow just wow
Every starter and main was outstanding. Disappointing view of food trucks instead of East River and skyline. Generous service and portions.
Excellent food and service in an outdoor dining setting
Everything was outstanding! The raw bar was an amazing start with fresh oysters, shrimp and the divine seafood salad.
Ida our server was also fantastic and all the service team were on point and professional. Thank you Pablo & Bobby for a perfect birthday celebration!
This was everything I wanted my Sunday brunch to be and more.
My husband and I came here for a fancy date night with our infant daughter and sat outside. We found out about American Brass from an article listing some of the best outdoor restaurants in NYC.
Everything on the menu looked so delicious. We started with the Sourdough Focaccia Bread with Whipped Ricotta and Rosemary Salt. ORDER THIS BREAD!! That whipped Ricotta is so addictive, I was scheming how to smuggle some home. My husband ordered the Smoke Signal cocktail, which comes in a bell jar filled with smoke. He absolutely loved it, and I loved the attention from everyone looking over at our table to see what we ordered. For our main course, I ordered the red snapper with heirloom tomato and summer squash and my husband ordered the Long Island Duck with polenta and hakurai turnips in a fig pepper jam. We shared both, so I can attest to both being amazing. All the desserts were great, but the Lemon Trifle was my favorite - the brown butter crumble gave an unexpected crunch.
The best part was the service. Andres was our server and he was so sweet and so attentive. The manager also stopped by to chat with us and he was so personable and so kind.
We live in Manhattan (Upper East Side), so if you’re looking for a fun date night or a night out with friends, I recommend taking the 90th Street Ferry to Long Island City. Gorgeous views of the city. American Brass was a short but pleasant walk from the dock through the waterfront park (past the Pepsi sign!). We went on a breezy summer Saturday night and it was absolutely perfect. If you’re looking for ambience, the restaurant was full of stylish patrons, from couples to girlfriends to families and more. The interior of the restaurant is modern and gorgeous, but we sat outside, which was very nicely laid out with plenty of room for us and our stroller.
The food was only second to the service which was superior- friendly, helpful, attentive staff who allowed us to set a leisurely pace to our birthday celebration!
Food and drinks were tasteful.
Great food and great service. One of our favourite places in the neighbourhood.
Great place ! going again! The service was amazing, food was amazing! Everyone should go! The only thing that was missing was the water. They did not have my water.
Had the steak and the burger and they were both great. The focaccia was also excellent. Fries were a little too salty. Still definitely go back.
The waiter was excellent and the food was just delicious.
Good environment with amazing services and perfect food
Everything from the service to the apps, entrees and cocktail were great.
