At the intersection of Harbor Point and Fells Point, Ampersea is redefining cuisine that's modern, Maryland, authentic. A destination innovating the way Baltimore dines on the Patapsco River, Ampersea's dedication to locally-sourced, fresh ingredients--many from our very own greenhouse--and passionate commitment to storied Maryland recipes set our menu apart. Perched on the western corner of Thames Street and located in the Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Museum building with the Living Classrooms Foundation, Ampersea's dining room, patio, and event spaces offer a stunning combination of panoramic harbor views, impeccable service, and delectable dishes.

Overall great experience! Able to be seated next to a window to view the harbor.
No Crown Royal available for my husband’s favorite drink, which was disappointing. Understandable with covid and decreased ability to have every type of liquor.
We are both health professionals, front line workers . This was one of our first times eating out in an entire year . We enjoyed having delicious meals prepared for us !

It was our rescheduled valentines date. Girlfriend had just moved to Baltimore for law school and Ampersea caught her eye. Visiting for the week so I took her. She had a good time and thought the food and drinks were good so can’t complain. It made her happy so thanks!

It was fair, our server was pleasant but didn’t check up on us too much. Both drinks my date had were honestly bad, but I loved my wine. The restaurant itself was cool, and I must say the oysters were great! May not come back here, unless it’s for the oysters at the outside patio

Outdoor seating was a nice option and to no fault of theirs, it’s just really cold. Be sure to bundle up.
The food is always great and came out quicker than I’ve remembered it ever being before.

We made a last minute brunch reservation for Valentine’s Day as our plans the night before had to be canceled due to the weather. Overall the food was fine but nothing special and the service was ok. They refilled our coffees but because they add on an 18% tip automatically it felt like the servers weren’t doing anything beyond what is expected because they’re guaranteed a set tip. That’s fine with us but we typically tip at least 20% and there wasn’t an option or increase it so 18% was all they got. Either way, the view was nice on the water and allowed us to get out of the house for a small Valentine’s Day brunch.

Been here several times and really enjoyed myself.

Food, service, and atmosphere is on point. Love the Brussel sprouts and cocktails. If I would request one thing is that the meals were tad a bit larger but that’s because I love their food.

This was our first visit. We had to adhere to the one hour time limit which detracted from the experience. It felt rushed but not the restaurant's fault. Seating was also limited so it was probably more sedate than normal.

The location seems kind of central on a map but in reality it is caught between that awkward dead zone between Fell's Point and Harbor East. The ambience while very nice is also not particularly memorable. It seems a bit sterile for Baltimore. We went in the winter and I assume it's much better environment with nice weather and the waterfront.

The food was simple but surprisingly great. I enjoyed every dish. I would call it Maryland comfort food. I appreciated that the food was not trying to be sophisticated for no reason. Drinks were excellent. We had no time for dessert. Decent value.

I love their outdoor tent bar and dining area! They have 2 couches with firepits, that look out onto the harbor. (Couches are first come, first served) It’s become one of my favorite places to grab a drink. I love the atmosphere and ambiance of sitting there all cozy on the couch with a good wine and yummy snacks. They’re food is amazing.

Ampersea ambiance is why we chose this place. Being right on the water, next to heaters and fire places, drinking wine, enjoying Baltimore City lines... it was gorgeous. We got to enjoy white wine together and catch up in an amazing atmosphere. Ampersea staff worked hard to make sure we were greeted and treated with kindness. If you are grabbing food or drinks, inside or outside, you will be so pleased you did at this establishment. Keep it up, Ampersea! Even in a pandemic you aren't showing anything but class.

Haven’t been to a restaurant for a few months now and Ampersea was the perfect outing. Indoor and outdoor seating options, it was 30 degrees and felt like 19 degrees. They have heaters and fires, such an awesome view of the waterfront and live music. I went with a good friend but definitely would be a romantic setting for a date. Great service, Jess was amazing!

these guys are doing covid right! tent has 2 open walls for good ventilation, there are 2 firepits, propane heaters and pretty white fairy lights.
sometimes there's music and it's just the right level. and, if your dog is well behaved, you can take them.
I hope they continue this set up even post covid. It's fantastic. My husband and I went there Friday (first day it opened) and then went back the next evening-- it's that good!

Spaced out appropriately for Covid. Brunch was very good, particularly the lobster roll, and the food was priced very appropriately. The red sangria was delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Dined during Covid. Hostess was very inviting, warm. Reservations were made, we were sat immediately, bar was small, indoor dining area I expected to be bigger but it was comfortable, greeted by the waitress that was knowledgeable & attentive, cocktails were a bit weak. Starters were mussels & the seafood dip, both were very good. For dinner I had the lamb shank. It was one of the best pieces of lamb I ever had. Fell off the bone, well seasoned. 4 drinks, 2 apps, 2 entrees, $180 including drinks.

My first time. Get the covid-friendly outdoor experience of Ampersea while the weather is still above freezing. Thank goodness the heat lamps did their job because the wind was very disrespectful. I can imagine the experience in warmer weather is fabulous as well.

The food incredible. We had the wings, a dozen oysters to share and I had the 1/2 & 1/2 soup (mix of cream of crab and the MD crab) such a great idea! Each soup individually was amazing so you can't go wrong either way.

Many of us had the scallops which were excellently prepared and succulent. The sautéed veggies were scrumptious- who knew bacon could add so much flavor? The lobster roll looked amazing and I was told it was. The truffle parmesean fries were fabulous and so flavorful.

I usually have drink envy but the vanilla pear martini made me the envy of the evening for such a great choice and accompaniment to my meal.

We topped off the meal with the apple bread pudding. Couldn't really taste the apple, but it had great taste anyway.

I picked Ampersea on a whim and was pleasantly surprised at the outcome. Everything..the food, service and of course my company were all fantastic. Thanks for making my 2nd birthday celebration of the month an outstanding experience.
