I really wanted to like this place. The food and the atmosphere were excellent but the service was an absolute mess the entire night. I felt forgotten by the staff throughout my meal. I waited for close to 15 mins before anyone came over to my table the gentleman that came over just said “you good?” I said, “well I’m hoping to put in my drink and appetizer order in soon” he took my order but apparently wasn’t my server. I got my drink order and a bit later my actual server came over and apologized for being tied up. I get it, it happens, she was nice. Anyway then she disappeared again and the gentlemen from before had to take my entree order after I waited for another long while. I received my food and it was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, I ran out of my drink part of the way through my food and couldn’t get anyone to come over to my table for close to 20mins to provide a refill. When the gentleman who was not my server came over he said he would come back with the drink but then forgot about it and was serving other customers for a few minutes before he remembered. As soon as he came back I asked for my check because I didn’t want to have trouble flagging him down later I had already been there for a long time and wanted to go home at this point. Low and behold their credit card machine is suddenly down. They ask if I can wait a bit to see if it will start working again. I wait. No one comes over to give me an update for 20mins. Then my server tells me the manager is coming over soon to take my information so they can bill me for my food. I wait. 30mins pass and I’m watching the manager bussing tables and has not even glanced my direction. My server eventually comes over and asks if the manager came over. I said no. The manager finally came over and was not very apologetic and just wrote down my credit card information. The way my table and the CC machine being down were handled was super unprofessional but the food was amazing.
Delicious meal… lively setting.
Great food and great atmosphere. Would dine here again
The food was average. Even at Hotel Week prices it wasn't worth it. Service was good though.
Awesome patio! Super-helpful staff creating table that worked for our party. Excellent service and food!
The food was delicious and our server was very friendly and professional!
Amazing restaurant. Quaint atmosphere. Superb food and service. Highly recommend!
Great neighborhood jewel with charming outdoor ambience. It’s a great addition to the GT dining scene. Service is attentive and responsive- staff is wonderful!
The service was wonderful, especially from our waitress/bartender, Najat. We loved the bruschetta - we could taste how fresh the ingredients were. The burrata ravioli special was fabulous, which made up for the fact that it was a bit over priced. I would definitely patronize Angelo’s again!
I’m very disappointed with this restaurant. We had a 10:30 am reservation and arrived to a closed establishment. I tried calling and didn’t receive an answer. There are mixed signals regarding whether or not the restaurant is open and it’s unfortunate that they’re allowing customers to book reservations and then not be open. I will not be returning.
Service was fabulous and a nice patio space
The food was amazing! My husband and I both said that we have never had such delicious pasta. The appetizers of Bruschetta Pomodoro and Gorngonzola Bread were a great start!
I ordered the Burrata Ravioli as my main course. This ravioli is the absolute BEST that I have ever had. That is saying a lot coming from a vegetarian that eats pasta very regularly.!!
My husband, who is far from vegetarian, ordered the Chicken Alfredo and said it was the best pasta that he had ever eaten as well.
Too bad we live so far away in Florida, or we would be regularly visiting this restaurant.
MUST TRY!!! The building is nothing to look at, but the food is to die for.
The young woman that waited on us was fantastic. Didn’t get her name but she was as good a waitress I have ever encountered.
My husband and I were having a date while he was in town.
One of my favorite restaurants in Georgetown!
Nice setting on the patio, really good service and excellent food… very, very good
Ate indoors. Food was delicious and service was great!
i am italian and when i'm abroad and i'm looking for an italian restaurant i expect it to be a better level .. you can't do low quality italian cuisine ,, the bolognese sauce must be cooked for hours and you can't serve a sauce already ready, however the place is nice if they improve their quality on the food it would be perfect and I could recommend it to my compatriots
House wine is good- Frontera. I had the Pinot Grigio and my husband had the Pinot Noir
I suggest calling first to be sure they are open. I had a confirmed reservation and was meeting family there, and we each had to travel. Arrived at the restaurant and it was closed. No explanation. No signage. Not very considerate. I would have appreciated a phone call to let me know they couldn’t honor the reservation after all. I understand things happen.
Nice restaurant, the outside patio is really nice . Inside there’s no AC so during summer you’re gonna sweat either inside or outside but the food was really good and also the service
We had a reservation but we waited outside for 1hr45mins when we finally got seated we waited for almost 2hrs for our food to be ready🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ Very horrible experience
Love this neighborhood gem, most especially the garden dining but I do wish they would turn down the music though. Nice brunch and bellinis
Food was absolutely delicious! This may be my favorite Italian restaurant! The ambiance outside is great and customer service was exceptional. Definitely will be coming again
They were clearly very understaffed, which would’ve been fine if they had tried to be a little nicer about it. Waiter didn’t even acknowledge us for over 15 minutes and then got annoyed when I asked bartender (we were seated right next to the bar) for water. He also kept forgetting to bring our drinks, food took an hour and a half, and then it took forever to get the check. I didn’t mind a slow dinner, but he was just not even nice to us.
Food was great. Service was not very good.
Is the best Italian food I’ve tried ever!!!! It’s really amazing!!!!!
The service was slow and the waitress was forgetful. One of the entrees was prepared very differently than advertised on the menu, and when we brought it to their attention they said that’s just how it is prepared.
We were visiting DC and pleased to find a family owned restaurant with pleasant staff at a busy time. We loved the home- made ravioli with marinara sauce.
The vibes of the outdoor seating have potential to be great. The food was wonderful. Our waiter was just a little underwhelmed by the cold weather. Hopefully as it heats up the energy will grow because the food was great!
Darling and delicious!
We sat outside and they have the most amazing patio. The food was amazing!! Their bread is the best I have every had. The pizza's dough is unbelievable!! I highly recommend and pizza!! Service was wonderful!!
The food was tasty but expensive for the quality. The service was very slow. The drinks were great and happy hour seems like a good deal.
Angolo Ristorante has been a favorite for a few years now, and I’m so happy to see that it now has an expanded patio. The beef carpaccio was a dream, as usual, and my 4 year old tried to hog the pizza quattro-stagioni. Plans have already been made to return for date night on the original lovely patio.
Great food, cocktails, and service! Haven’t been out to eat in the Georgetown area in a while, but the pizza and pasta drew me and my family in. We throughly enjoyed the specials and look forward to return.
We arrived earlier than our reservation and they were able to seat us. Food was delicious! My mother got the seafood pasta and there was so much seafood, she was very happy. Loved the wine too.
It was an excellent lunch dining experience. We will return
Couldn’t tell you about the food because we waited for at least 35 minutes and no one came over to grab our drink or food orders. Extremely unorganized and unprofessional.
The restaurant did not honor our reservation. See other reviews - this seems to be common. The pizza was good but the service was very slow. We received water after being seated for 45 minutes. I would recommend skipping the reservation and getting food to go.
