   Great place for lunch, whether you’re staying at the Marriott or not! We had the Mighty Mo burger platter, which was one of the Hot Shoppes features!! But the menu was broad with salads and other sandwiches etc The service was excellent!!! Can’t wait to go back !!

    Okay restaurant for business lunch. They should also offer dinner in this hotel especially given size and business nature of the hotel. Maybe up the size of restaurant and food choices.

    All items were excellent. I felt the need for more vegetable/salad options but there was both a vegan soup and healthy salad. The staff are fantastic, alert and welcoming and though nothing fancy it is central, comfortable and low noise - great for business meetings.

    Long wait to be seated despite having a reservation. Noisy beyond belief. Overworked wait staff who did not want to do sit tickets - and we told him BEFORE we ordered. Mediocre food. Overall a poor experience.

    I booked this restaurant three times during a conference. The waiters were attentive but the lady at the front was rude and unhelpful. We had made the bookings online from overseas and the system had broken gown. She was unapologetic and wanted us to queue with those that had no bookings.

    I made a reservation but I didn't know the restaurant was closed during that time. Unfortunately, the first staff member I saw was extremely rude. The service improved and the hostess was very nice when I left. Thankfully my server and the hostess saved my experience.

    Went with colleagues for a retirement luncheon on a Friday. The restaurant was clean, quiet and welcoming. The food was very good as was the service. This was our first visit here and will definitely return with friends and family. I am always looking for new restaurants in the city to bring visitors. Also this place is good for a quick lunch if you are at the convention center.

    Had the pancakes and they had a cake-y taste to them that I really enjoyed. Sometimes you can get pancakes that taste like fried batter from a dirty griddle. These tastes like there was thought put into the batter.

    While the food was good, the service was not. The staff was frenetic and distracted. One or two of them tried to step in and assist - but there was little attention to service. The food was good however.

    Honestly $26 per person for a buffet is obscene, especially when I just had an omelet and some juice. The server wasn't too friendly- more like get 'em in, get 'em out, but the gentleman who made the omelet was so nice, so friendly, and wow, what an omelet!

    We were guests at the hotel, and went to Anthem for breakfast. A lot of our food had a terrible after taste that seemed to be caused by something on the grill...old oil, or dirty grill. The eggs Benedict was very small, the hash browns were burnt. Overall, not a very good breakfast for almost $100 for four. Thankfully, the manager comped our meal, but it was still a real disappointment.

    Good place to meet someone where it is not crowded or noisy and very close to the DC Convention Center. Service was fine. All we had was coffee, so I can't comment on the food.

    Great place to meet convention going colleagues for a casual meal. The menu is moderate in expense and high in freshness and appeal. Try the crab cakes which are a local specialty. It can be busy, so if you can, go at off hours.

    Food was fine but every single table needed to be shimmed. They were super uneven and very hard not to tip your glass of water everywhere. The tables are also super close together, which made it even more awkward.

    We were staying at a modest hotel nearby that did not offer breakfast. But I saw that the Marriott Marquis Anthem was mere steps away so we made reservations. We will definitely come here again. We were greeted so warmly and our waiter was wonderful as were the people serving the food at the buffet. Everyone was so warm and welcoming! And we really felt cared for every step of the way. We are elderly but not disabled. Getting that little bit of extra care means a lot to us at this stage of life. We got it from everyone today. And I haven’t even gotten to the food which was fabulous and abundant. I had expected very high prices and was willing to pay but the cold breakfast which we had was a bargain and provided more than enough to fuel us for the morning. The space is bright and cheerful besides. The Anthem is a winner in every way.

    Food was okay but I would say that being able to cook eggs properly is the fundamental requirement of a good breakfast place. I would say it was average. Cappuccino was good.
