1956 ...Année de l'avènement de Brigitte Bardot dans "Et dieu créa la femme", de la sortie de la fameuse Dauphine de Renault, de la disparition de Mistinguette...! C'est en 1956 que le restaurant Astier ouvre ses portes et bouscule les valeurs de la cuisine parisienne en créant la Bistronomie.
Près de 70 ans plus tard, Astier demeure une adresse incontournable de la restauration parisienne en préservant, coûte que coûte le répertoire d'une cuisine française de qualité, une certaine notion du "recevoir" dans une atmosphère animée mais élégante et en proposant une carte des vins digne des plus grandes tables de la capitale.

                                      Very nice and typical little French corner restaurant. We enjoyed the meals very much and the cook in kitchen even prepared a special vegatarian dish for one of us, too. We would go there again. Very very friendly people. Wonderful atmosphere.

                                      Our dinner was very good and well prepared. My wife had coquille St. Juaques and I had Steak Au Poivre. A lovely bottle of Gevry Chambertin too. We shared a chocolate soufflé. Nice helpful staff. A great place to have a wonderfully prepared meal.
