Food was very good, but the service was very very slow, we were in there 2 hours and 40 minutes, the waiter kept forgetting to bring stuff we asked for, such as a fork, and drink service was also slow

The butter chicken and the chicken supreme were both fabulous. The wine menus, however, was very slim but I was able to find something that I enjoyed.

Our first time at Axis was very enjoyable. The atmosphere and decor were modern and trendy; loved the vibe. The menu had a great variety, as well as some inventive cocktails. I appreciated this restaurant because it had a higher end feel and food but it also provided a place for kids with a kids menu, if needed. We will be back at our next visit to Canmore.

Surprisingly a small dining room but was able to accommodate our large group. Food amazing, service great at a reasonable price. We all would definitely recommend! Lamb burger excellent and butter chicken yummy 😋

The lamb burger was amazing, the wine was amazing the service was amazing. But the patio could use some love. The inside of the restaurant is amazing and decorated with taste but the patio is really not up to the standard. Although pet friendly so love that ! It should appear better on the website.

Amazing little restaurant!! Not sure why it wasn’t more crowded like other places in the area but everything we ate was absolutely divine- elk and feta pizza, butter chicken and desserts were all amazing. The staff were friendly and attentive. Family friendly as well- my kids loved it! Five stars all the way!

As someone with years of experience in the hospitality industry, I was quite disappointed with my brief visit to Axis Bar and Grill. Our greeting was friendly enough, but there was no host. The front-of-house manager simply gestured toward a table across the dining room, and we seated ourselves. No big deal. We waited nearly 10 minutes for our server and menus. When he finally arrived, the interaction was quick and awkward. The menu offered few appealing entrée options, so we decided to start with the calamari in tomato sauce as an appetizer. When the appetizer arrived, we were disappointed. The calamari was poorly cooked, and the sauce was watery, barely warm, and lacked flavor. It took our server another 10 minutes to check on us and we sent it back.. He argued that he had described the dish and attempted to charge us for it. I explained that was not the problem—it was simply not good enough to eat. To try to rectify the situation, our server brought us a dessert. While the gesture was nice, we hadn’t eaten any dinner yet and weren’t ready for dessert. After this experience, my girlfriend and I paid for my cranberry juice and left.

We have dined at Axis a number of times now and it only continues to improve. The food is really very good, especially there mozzerella sticks that I hope they put on the menu rather than just a special! They were a big hit at our table! We own units in Solara so it is so wonderful to just walk to the restaurant and grab dinner with our friends and family.
