The miso cod is exceptional! And don't leave without trying the lobster tempura! Amazing experience overall.
probably one of the best restaurant I have been to in miami, in a long time, where the quality of the food is really worth the price you pay. Unlike most places in the city.
I will try to go back soon with friends. I was blown away.
Thank you for the memorable evening
Great Miami Spice menu. The Hamachi Jalapeño, spicy tuna roll, salmon & brussell sprouts were excellent. We didn’t care for the cod, & it’s normally one of our fav Japanese dishes. Beautiful fun space.
Wow! Everything was amazing! One of the best restaurants in Miami! We did their Miami Spice menu and very thing was incredible. Each bite was better than the last. My husband and I are already talking about going back and we were there two nights ago lol. The service was also some of the Beat we’ve had in Miami!!! Don’t walk RUN to Azabu!
Very good but pricey and not Michelin-star worthy. At those prices the food should be orgasmic.
Great place quier great for date night
We arrived last night (Monday) with no reservation for 2 at 8.45pm, and was told by the hostess she couldn’t sit us for 20 mins.
I went on open table and bookings were available for 2 for instant dining. When I addressed this, the hostess got her manager who gave me a ridiculous excuse that they leave tables open for last minutes bookings, therefore if I wanted to dine straight away I had to book on open table, so I did.
The restaurant was almost empty, and was so for the remainder of our meal, so it was evident the staff were just trying to be awkward/ on some power trip.
After all the fuss they made about me booking it on open table, and making the reservation on the app in front of them, they didn’t even have the decency to confirm I attended, marking me as a no show!!!!
The overall experience was awful. The staff were all careless and unfriendly, which is a shame, since the food is great.
As a local to Miami Beach, I’ve dined here several times, this will be the last, when service is so much better at other sushi restaurants, if I’m spending my money, I’ll spend it where I feel welcomed.
The food and drinks were absolutely delicious. Our server, Darko, was very attentive and took care of all of requests. He checked in often to make sure we were having a great experience. We will definitely be back!
Went for Miami Spice. Loved it. We opted for entrees that was additional and ended up spend $95 per person. But it was well worth it :)
Service, food and staff were amazing!
So happy we came back! Everything, and I mea EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. We came I February and talked about it since. We are back in Miami and could not pass up the chance to return. Exceeded our expectation, better than or recollections. Take the time, do not miss this place tucked away in the Stanton hotel. Wished we had known they offered special dining experience that night. We will be back.
Amazing food and staff!
Did not expect the interior to resemble the lobby of a Courtyard Inn, so we asked to sit outside which made up for the lack of ambiance. Food was fantastic - order the spicy tuna rice crunch appetizer thing.
Fantastic per usual! Excellent service amazing quality highly recommend
The worst location where I was ever!!! Expensive nothing to eat, worst steak ever! Do not come here!
We had the sunset dinner which consisted of three courses for $32. We had a spicy tuna roll , marinated skewered beef which came also with four pieces of tempura, and moji for desert. Everything was delicious snd prepared beautifully. Unfortunately we were told the sunset dinner was being eliminated. I look forward to seeing the new menu.
Amazing i loved it
This place without question has the best quality sushi in the entire state of Florida & the service is spectacular.
We were staying here at the MARRIOT so decided to eat here.
Service was excellent, very pleasant and friendly.
The food was good, every dish we enjoyed.
Just wish they had more selection. But that’s not their fault (post covid supply chain issues).
The waiter was apologetic about the delay in bringing our food, but we didn’t even noticed! That’s how great the service was.
Would come back.
I understand that this part of town is struggling, but this was not worth the hype and not worth the price. The server forgot several items.
Worst service ever!! CERO ambiance
very bad service, tey apply 18%. That s the problem, bad service and get 18% no matter what!!!
For an expensive dinner the food just wasn’t very good. The sushi did not taste fresh at all. Was very disappointed
El peor SERVICIO DE MI VIDA, los precios una cosa muy muy exageradamente cara, la comida no lo vale, un asco de lugar!!! NO VAYAN NUNCA
We love coming here during the wk when it’s quite, but the service this particular wknd night was poor due to lack of staff. The single bartender did a great job keeping up with the entire dining room by himself, and with no bar back. The server did the same with only one busser for the entire floor. The food was great as always, and no issues. Great product, but ownership needs to go to the end of earth to provide FOH staff so the customer experience won’t be so dismal! We will absolutely be back, but during the wk.
Excellent experience as usual. This is the best traditional Japanese restaurant in Miami. Much better than the fusion places around town that tend to rely too much on sauces and sugar instead of the quality of the ingredients!
Perfect spot, high quality
Went for Valentine’s Day. Food was delicious and ambiance was spectacular! Definitely recommend !
Sushi delicious, but fish not okay. Atmosphere not special, but great service and servers.
The food was amazing, service left nothing to be desired. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Price was typical for the area.
The food here is outstanding but the service is terrible. We would have ordered a lot more food and drinks if someone checked on us more often. It’s a really nice place and they could do so much better if they paid attention to their customers.
Average experience. Place has no soul, sushi and food were just ok.
Great food and wonderful service
Prefix NYE menu was very interesting, food quality was excellent but service was terrible. 45 minute wait to even get water and a waiter. This was followed by reversing the order of the whole prefix and at times bringing 4 dishes at once. I expect this is not their level of service and was likely due to various delays in previous reservations, ours was at 9:15 on New Years Eve. Azabu did comp. many of our drinks and gave us a 20% discount on the bill as they saw the experience was not acceptable. One of the managers did state that our steak was perfectly medium when our waiter and others agreed that is was rare to mid rare which was quite annoying. Anyway, not the best experience for NYE at least.
Great Omakase. Would recommend to all of my friends
One of the best sushi spots I have ever been too. The food and its presentation were flawless. Kudos to the Chef.
Probably the worst customer service that I have ever had in Miami. I went to Sushi Azabu because I have been frequenting the one in NYC for years and was friendly with Victor and Hiro, that ran the joint in Tribeca. This is a weak excuse for a sister restaurant. I understand that they are under new management since 2019, and it shows.
I had dined in Azabu in Miami a week earlier with a chef friend of mine, and we both found the sushi to be unremarkable and bland but enjoyed the setting. When I told this to another friend, the head concierge at one of Miami’s best hotels, he was curious, and we decided to stop in for a quite early bite for him to try it out before going out to a more formal dinner later in the evening. We decided to try the sunset prix fixe menu because it seemed like a good deal and we were going to eat another dinner later. The sunset menu ended at 7 PM, and we got to the restaurant at exactly 6:55 PM. After waiting about 10 minutes for someone to greet us at the host table, Pablo, the manager came to us at 7:05 PM and when we asked for the sunset menu, he said that it was 7:15 PM (it was 7:05 PM, I checked) and essentially lied and said he could not accommodate us. Not wanting to make a big deal, we decided to go eat anyway.
When the waiter came to take our order, my concierge friend casually remarked how it was surprising that they were being a stickler for the rules especially when the place was empty. The waiter said he would ask the manager again. Pablo came out and started screaming at us and called us “stupid” and “cheap” and that “didn’t we get the point?” the first time. We were extremely shocked, and I indicated I would vote with my feet and pay for the bottle of water we were in the process of consuming and make sure to reflect the extremely poor customer service in a review. Pablo started calling us names and we left.
Save yourself some heartache, there are plenty of better sushi places in Miami.
