If you're going to take your name from a badass like the patron saint of blacksmiths, you better be able to back it up. Baldamar marks the turning point where we usher in the new standard for style, service and steak. It means the menu’s made with old-world craft at its core and modern day meat eaters in mind — with flavors forged in fire and folded into pure primal perfection. It’s where every steak is aged 40 days and 40 nights for a taste of biblical proportion, and where crazy-fresh seafood means it was caught during your morning commute.     THE SERVICE WAS TRASH!!! I AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN THE SERVER THE LADY HAD AN ATTITUDE THE ENTIRE NIGHT AND RUINED THE NIGHT FOR US. I will NEVER return here. The server started to be nice when it was time to pay the bill just because it was tip time for her. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!! Wish I could have a refund the FOOD WAS NOT GOOD AT ALL

    We had the best meal last night. Short ribs, spicy Mac and cheese, twice baked potato and of course Bread is Life. The food is always amazing! The atmosphere is so comfy and upscale. The service is truly the best! Everyone was joyful and helpful. Can't wait to go back!

    We love Baldamar, especially for celebrations. They give you a $15 card to use within 30 days on your next visit, which is a nice perk. Their happy hour is fantastic as well. All our servers have been top notch on every visit.

    Finally, an upscale restaurant in the northern suburbs. Great food, great service outstanding care and preparation and serving of the food would highly recommend it for any special occasion and if you just wanna have a great night out. I’ve recommended to many of the neighbors and none of them come back disappointed. Highly recommended it they’re quick to correct any issues or problems that you have with your food and if you have a birthday anniversary or special event, they give you a coupon for $15 off your next visit, that has to be used within 30 days.

    Our experience at Baldamar was fantastic! The food was delicious and the service was top-notch. I highly recommend the aged steaks and fresh seafood. The atmosphere was elegant and modern, making it perfect for special occasions. The selection of wine and spirits gives everyone a choice. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Overall, we had a wonderful time at Baldamar and would definitely go back again!

    It overall was a good place to eat but whenever we go there it is always so loud and we don’t get seated until 20-30 minutes past our reservation time. The food was excellent but the service was mid. Strange thing is he never looked at my while I was talking or ordering something and always just looked at my husband. If he was asking us a question he was asking my husband. I kind of felt like I wasn’t here to him. I went there for my birthday and they were kind to give me a card with a coupon inside.

    I requested a quiet table for two in my online reservation for a special birthday. Unfortunately, we were seated at the smallest table in front of the kitchen, elbow-to-elbow with a larger party. Staff was wonderful about making arrangements for a new table in a booth that was quieter, but was disruptive to our special night. There was a short wait and drinks not compensated. We paid our check twice, awkward also for the birthday guest.

    Very enjoyable dinner, my server was very friendly and engaging, the food was excellent, service was exceptional. The ambience was quite nice. I will be coming again, the salmon and the scallops were delicious. The cake was very good. All in all, a great experience!!!

    This is our first time at Baldmar. The service was excellent in all respects. We tried three appetizers all of which were good with the shrimp being outstanding. We enjoyed the twice baked potato as well. The size of the servings were enough for two people. The prices were fair. A good experience and we will return soon.

    It was super busy when I got there. Glad I made a reservation. We only had to wait five minutes to be seated. Food was excellent. I had the wagyu ribeye. I wasn't too rich.

    We went for a birthday celebration, just two guests, and we had the Brunch Buffet on a Sunday. The servers were wonderful, the food was great and we really enjoyed the whole experience.
