We've eaten here many times and unfortunately the service and food quality continues to decline. Even though the restaurant was not busy, our server was anything but attentive. At least three time we had to get up from the table to chase her down (she would not look our way even though she was passing near our table and we called to her) to ask for a spoon to serve our clams; forks for our main dish; butter for our bread. She seemed like a very nice person, but her head was not into what she was doing. This experience will be our last. We will not eat here again.
Only one server working. Service was a bit slow
Fist time I experienced this at Banks.
Excellently prepared seafood. Great for lobster and soft shells.
The food does live up to its hype or prices. The atmosphere non-existent.
We had some excellent East Coast oysters, husband had the lobster roll and I had the soft shell crab, all were very good. Drinks were very good as well. Husband finished with the blueberry cheesecake, it was very good and was served with an excellent cookie.
Shrimp cocktail was good. Salmon and shrimp tacos were mediocre. Service was decent. We sat outdoors and metal tables were uncomfortable.
Great
And we will be back.
Nude lobster. Delicious calamari.
Brussels cooked to perfection.
Wine list was impeccable. Server was spot on. Please guys, schedule your next date night here!
We left after 45 minutes of not getting our appetizer. Asked for heaters to be turned on; wasn’t done. Drinks were watered down. Overall miserable experience.
The crab and avocado toast was absolutely delicious. This was my first time visiting Banks but it won't be my last.
As always, the food was delicious, the setting was beautiful (outside, on the deck, overlooking the river), and the service excellent. Ahi tuna wontons are delightful!
Another great experience from service to food! Absolutely worth the drive for us from Philadelphia area!
We were celebrating a birthday on the Banks porch, and the service was excellent.
We stayed a long time and were not pushed to leave. Felt comfortable and safe in this environment. A beautiful day!
Birthday celebration
Always great
Food was very good and we were able to sit outside on a beautiful day.
Best broiled crab cakes I’ve ever had. Two large, All chunk crab with creamy crab inside. No fillers especially no red or green peppers which has steered me away from eating many crab cakes when out to eat. Also, because it was a holiday they were using their dinner menu instead of lunch so no sandwiches were listed. My son does not like seafood and just wanted a hamburger and they sad “no problem.”
Server was very friendly. Ate on the terrace. Great experience!
We had a beautiful Easter Lunch at Banks. Everything was delicious & fresh. It’s a lovely setting on the River. We will definitely go back. Loved it!!!
Outstanding!! Food was excellent. Service was prompt and professional.
Birthday... my server was alert to my birthday.... on my dessert she wrote Happy Birthday... the manager gave me a complimentary box of truffles... love this place!!!!
As in the past...excellent service...Arlene our server was very attentive. Food & wine delicious...We always enjoy our meals here.
My wife and I shared our 25th wedding anniversary dinner at Banks. The food was great! All of it was fresh and made to order. The servers were courteous and prompt with an eye of attention on everything from drinks to extra bread and appetizers. Excellent food. Excellent service!
Outstanding! Great seafood that is so fresh! If you like seafood prepared to a high satisfaction then you should try Banks’ Seafood. David Banks is a gracious host and chef who takes great care to see that his customers are pleased with their experience in his restaurant.
Great food in a great location with very friendly staff.
The service was outstanding, food very good, will be back, for sure!!1
We always enjoy dining at Banks. The food is fantastic and service is excellent.
The restaurant was very busy. March 26 evening Our assigned server was behind. To my much appreciated surprise, the manager stepped up to the plate. Not only took orders, served food, but went the extra mile to bring complimentary appetizer for the inconveniences. We will definitely be back.
Crab cakes were good but the filet was very bland.
We will never return here. We even called ahead of time to assure a good experience for a special occasion.
We had horrific service by a waitress who was absent the entire time we were there. We were ignored the first 20 minutes and then offered a half hearted apology.
When we finally got our drinks another 20 minutes after that -they were not as described on the menu when other patrons’ looked very appetizing. The appetizers arrived a half an hour later and were lukewarm. Clearly had been sitting out-and saw them sitting there at the raw bar.
Thankfully, we were able to salvage our night by calling another restaurant while we were still waiting for our appetizers and then upon leaving after appetizers. we had a very lovely meal elsewhere.
We ended up being in the restaurant an hour and 40 minutes for drinks and appetizers. Super disappointing.
Banks is always delicious
It’s one of our favorite places for a nice night out.
We’ve dined here numerous times and this was the first time we were not satisfied, the portions of the food was very small I guess things changed because of COVID
Lunch is a better price. Had Sunday brunch and they charged dinner prices. Lemon cake pretty ordinary and tasted like old time lemon pudding cake from a box. Clams casino great.
I don’t think the food and drinks were worth the price. Cheap Mac and cheese topped with lobster for $22 could of been better, instead of boxed Mac n cheese. All of the sides that came on the plate were not appetizing. The seafood Entrées were better than the steak meal. Not what I was expecting for the price.
This was our first time at Banks. Page was our waitress, and she was fantastic. The food was excellent. I can't wait to come back in warm weather so we can eat outside, looking out at the water.
We had the rainbow trout and crab cake dinners with brussel sprouts, garlic mashed potatoes and obster mac-and-cheese. Everything was very delicious and enjoyed by all. We had a party of 4 people.
We have never been disappointed. Great experience. We are fans of raw clams - delicious!
We eat at Banks 4 or 5 times each year as we travel thru the area. It is always outstanding!
Needed to get out and have a meatless Friday in lent. Excellent calamari and salmon. Also had fresh blue point clams. Wonderful dinner.
A night dining outside along the Christina River at a wonderful Seafood restaurant.we started with tomato based Maryland Crab soup and a Conch soup. Our entrees were Crab Cakes and Rockfish which were absolutely delicious!!
The service was wonderful!!!
Nice day to eat outside except for construction on walking path...salmon and Brussels sprout salad excellent combo
