It was a great experience, lovely staff couldn’t do enough for us, The food was excellent, from that beautiful flatbread , the mains, dessert and coffee. And the view looking out over the grape vines was relaxing. It would be lovely for a special occasion or just somewhere pleasant for lunch. Thank you
Delicious and fresh food with wonderful service and a beautiful view over the grapes. Would highly recommend.
food was lovely, great books to browse through.
I ate in the restaurant facing the vineyard which was so good. Could not find fault with anything.
Everything was perfect from accommodation, food, wine tasting , staff etc
We booked ahead and scored a lovely table in front of the open fire in the book barn. We arrived about 40 minutes early and were pleasantly surprised when our table was already set up and ready. The staff were a little hard to get at times, but were very attentive with our dietary requirements. The food was very delicious (albeit a little under seasoned) and the Pinot Gris was light and fresh. We browsed the book shop afterwards and came home with a new cookbook- a perfectly relaxed lunch vibe!
Loved it! Thanks for a great meal. Blue cheese pizza was fantastic
An amazing place to wander among the books .The cellar door restaurant was the best place as you had great views.
Food was excellent.
very average service past experience was much better
Enjoyed the experience - food was good quality and enjoyable. Staff and service attentive. We have been several times and often waited +45minutes for food to arrive. However, on this visit we received our food within 15 minutes of ordering, which was much appreciated. The food is always consistently good without being extraordinary. The service not so consistent as mentioned.
Also in the past Bendooley Estate offered some European wines on the wine list (i.e. Chablis, Burgundy..). Whilst it is good to have local wines featured why not consider some Eurpoean options on the wine list for some more variety.
After attending a wedding some time back we wanted to revisit Bendooley Estate. It is a beautiful venue and the ambiance is amazing.
Food was delicious made better by excellent company. Definitely worth a visit if visiting the Southern Highlands
Amazing lunch for my sisters 33rd birthday! Have come back a number of times over the past 7 years since my sister and her husband where married here, and we will continue! Love it
Food wasn't outstanding, but it was good value for money. Environment was great, but very busy, packed with the guests, not much practicing social distancing.
Beautiful stone wall dining space accompanied by the fire was an wonderful ambience to accompanied our anniversary. Despite being very busy, the atmosphere was very relaxing. Food quality and presentation matched that experienced at an exclusive fine dining restaurant without the price tag.
A beautiful meal, a very welcoming venue with professional yet friendly and obliging staff.the meal, ambience, decor, setting and grounds made for a fantastic experience. Look forward to coming back.
We had lunch at Bendooley with expectations it would be pleasant, with good food and nice wine, but it was way better than pleasant. The food and wine were very good, and the wait staff were very engaging which made for an excellent day out. The setting of Bendooley Estate is quite stunning, especially with the new growth on the vines. We look forward to our next visit.
Quality of food has fallen away dramatically. Also much slower service from the kitchen.
Linguine with picked blue swimmer a winner 😊😊
Berry and Pistachio dessert was a high!! 😊😊
Great meal and ambiance! A little expensive but food was delicious! Highly recommend.
Appealing setting, book store was great. Food was disappointing, particularly the dessert which was really sub standard.
Very impressed with the costumer service.
Beautiful venue, excellent fresh food including healthy and vegetarian options, friendly and efficient service. My fourth lunch there, It has become my fave restaurant in the Southern Highlands, be sure to book though as they are busy all week.
Bendooley Estate is always exceptional.
Whether it’s dining with family or friends the atmosphere is amazing and the food is excellent.
Definitely a gem of The Southern Highlands.
Beautiful view, location and ambience. Staff were very hospitable and friendly. Facilities were amazing!
A must visit destination for a sunny, Sunday lunch. Will definitely be back (again!).
Beautiful place! ❤️ Would love to go back with the family soon
Food & Service was excellent and beautiful gardens to admire while having lunch - a real bonus to browse a beautiful book shop after lunch!
Beautiful place with great decor, we truly appreciated the lovely staff and impressive, delicious dishes. Everything combined to make a delightful experience.
Food and wine fantastic as usual - this place always delivers.
We always love our visits to one of our favourites!!!
Everything was wonderful as usual!!
Had a booking but very abrupt on arrival. Nice waitress took order and brought water, wine and pizza within 20 minutes and an hour later still waiting for our main course and wine all drunk - enquired from abrupt arrival lady what was happening as other tables had come, eaten and gone, and she never came back to us. Then another girl arrived and apologised and said it was on its way. 20 minutes and nothing had arrived so went back yet again, as our guests just wanted to leave, to the abrupt lady who said she would find out - excuse it had been busy and by now it was 3.30pm! - and 5 minutes later food started to arrive but then a bit late to start another bottle to have with our food which is what we had wanted. Husbands slow cooked lamb had pumpkin that looked and tasted like it had been going since 11.30am - rest of food was average.
In fairness to them they did end up acknowledging our experience and complimented the meal. However it was a disappointment as we had taken these friends to introduce them to the restaurant as they had not been before.
Delicious food, mains more impressive than desserts. Unfortunately we were seated near the entrance and were constantly blasted with cold wind every time someone came in... which was often because they are so busy! And we couldn’t move tables because of Covid. Lovely ambience inside the bookstore.
First time diners and really enjoyable. Food and wine was great in a beautiful.
Loved the atmosphere
The place was unreal
Food was brilliant
Went to Bendooley with friends for Tuesday lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Food was very good with a good selection of local and interstate wines. Would recommend as good dining experience.
Great food and wine, perfect spot for lunch, beautiful and elegant for a special occasions. Loved it.
Great waitress and amazing food. Best blue cheese pizza I’ve ever had!
While we were looking forward to having lunch we were prepared to take the 2.15 slot but unfortunately when we arrived we were hungry. We had to wait for an hour for our main! It was 3.15 which was ridiculous
Delicious food in spectacular surrounds. Dining area is very open and well ventilated, overlooking the vineyards
We had a family lunch in the cellar room overlooking the vines. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend the crab lingui8ne.
