Our server and chef were great. Tomi did a great job keeping the table in a good mood. Food was Benihana quality — and that’s a compliment. But we were seated 35 minutes after our reservation time and the chef arrived 1.5 hours after that, and evidently this is not an isolated incident.
The absolute worse experience for dinner while in a Vegas. Not only were they at least 1 hour late on our reservation, the AC did not work well at all in the restaurant. We were miserable. Short staffed, slow service.
The ONLY great thing was our Chef Kyle. He was wonderful and we truly felt bad that he had to work under those conditions. Avoid this place!
Our Chef Edwin, was awesome. He made our special occasion experience to the max. It was great. His energy was awesome and he was just a good sociable chef!! We totally would go back again.
The best experience we have had there so far. Server and chef were great! Food was delicious! Super attentive. We had 11am reservations. Not smokey from the grills yet and quiet enough so we were able to talk to the couple dining with our family of 5.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Made reservation to still wait 40+ minutes to get seated waited another 1 hour to get our order took then another hour to get a chef to our table arrived at 9 left at 12am NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
We really loved it and definitely will be back! Watch our YouTube channel Juneski&LadyT to follow our experience with the worlds most amazing chef Tony too much! It was the best Father’s Day dinner ever! <3
It was amazing i would give it 10 stars if i could
The initial server who got us seated and took orders, knew nothing about gluten, but basically tried to pretend he was competent. The onion soup is NOT gluten free sir (breaded onion). Please just say you’ll check if you’re not sure. The guy who did our main meal was great and super careful/cautious.
We had a fairly early reservation at 5:15 and still waited 30 minutes to be seated. Food was great as expected. Worth the reservation just plan on a couple hours
Tony was our chef, he was phenomenal, interesting, entertaining, professional and he had a great attitude😍
Fantastic service and excellent food!!!!
Was told we could come then came in and they didn’t have a table available, waitress was amazing though
Checked in at 12:20pm for our 12:45pm reservation. The guy at the front desk said they would seat us closer to our reservation so we waited, and waited and waited. By 1:30pm he said they were short staffed and only had 3 cooks yet reservations are backed up and pouring in the door. 1:45pm we finally sat down, starving cranky kids and all. Then the table was broken so we had to move. Food finally started cooking at 2:45pm (2 hours after our reservation). Service at the table was good but the manager seemed worthless. Lots of angry customers, dirty tables and empty glasses he could have easily helped out with and people he could have talked to but didn’t. Seemed too busy talking to and chastising staff. I wouldn’t recommend this location for a few months unless you have 3-4 hours to burn. Also they don’t offer the lunch menu like every other location in the country. We finally paid and left around 3:50pm. Longest lunch I think we have ever had.
URGENT warning to all potential guests - we love Benihana, but this restaurant was not ready to be open for guests. MAJOR staffing issues. 8:30 reservation, no food until 10:45. Two chefs for the entire restaurant. Manager did his best to keep us from walking out, but frankly a single free drink was an exceptionally weak effort. Once the chef was finally ready for our table, the food was traditional, solid Benihana.
We would suggest waiting a week or two until they get their staffing issues in order. If you walk in and don’t see several chefs working, do yourselves a favor and turn around and walk out. You’ll never get those hours back.
We surprised my cousin and her husband for their anniversary. The entire experience was amazing. From the greeting at the front door, the security officers assistance with the surprise, our server Ryan and his trainee to Kyle and his table side cooking…Uh-mazing! Will definitely come again.
Edwin was our chef and he was so amazing!! He was hilarious and nice and an extravagant cook. I had so much fun!!
Our server and chef were excellent! Both were very personable and our party had a great time celebrating all our birthdays with a delicious dinner.
Tardaron 45 minutos en darnos nuestra mesa, aunque teníamos reservación y el servicio muy lento
If you’re in Vegas and haven’t tried this place, please do!!
We went for our 20th anniversary. It was great. Jonny our chef was so cool we loved him. He made it fun and entertaining. Would definitely go back just to have chef Jonny. Totally great guy. Loved him thank you for everything
Was nice a little behind schedule for reservations but overall good
Our chef is great!Tony was a great chef and he so entertaining..
I think they are a little under staffed right now but overall it’s always worth the wait.
Single diner with reservations, arrived 30 minutes early was told if I wanted a table it was going to be a 90 minute wait but I was welcome to sit and dine at the bar. Bartender was pleasant but appeared put out that I was eating at the bar. Tempura vegetables were delicious. Tempura shrimp roll was bland and the famous Benihana chicken rice tasted like it was made from a box.
Not a very good impression for a first time experience at Benihana.
Unfortunately this time ( I come to this location at least once a month ( I’m a local ) it was not worth our time and money . It was an awful evening for me and my husband . We had a reservation at 5:15 PM , as soon as we entered the doors Chrislee ( hostess ) said “ there will be a 1. Hr. Wait time even though we had a reservation for over a month and unfortunately it is NOT the first time !Our biggest frustration is why not send a tex , call , or an email letting you know that they are NOT running on time ? Our time is also very valuable, I asked to speak to the shift manager and luckily Troy came to the rescue and wanted to take care of us , he tried but unfortunately everything was just from bad to worst , we ended leaving and not having dinner . I will not come back to this location , go to the west gate resort they have a Benihana’s inside the casino they are very organized and being late would never happen ! Take it from me .
First time worst experience at Banihana. Took 2 hours chief to come. The waitress was super slow and she kept forgetting things. The chief apologized for the late start and
every single chief had to apologize because of late start. Overall I was disappointed with the service at banihana and never experienced this in LA banihana or bay area banihana.
Menu shows lunch specials; however, when I arrived they stated dinner only at the location. I’m a regular so it didn’t bother me because it’s worth the money but it’s false advertising.
This was my first time experience at a Benihana and will more than likely be my last. The hostess was extremely nice, the server and chef was but it was a completely underwhelming experience. Not at all what I was expecting from a place that is always so highly ranted and raved about. There was a hair in my soup, the server quickly remedied this by bringing out a new bowl. The hibachi “show” was no show honestly. The chef cooked everything and that’s about it. None of the theatrics you would typically see at a hibachi place. I hated that he cut my shrimp up instead of leaving them whole. Usually your plate would be overflowing with food…specifically rice…they put it in a bowl and then give it to you to put on your plate. Chicken was scarce. Now here’s the part that killed me….they give you these I’ll tasting sauces but usually everyone goes to hibachi for yum yum…we’ll I requested yum yum sauce two of the little dishes to be exact…well to my surprise when I got my check I was charged 50 cent each out (6oz). Whatever not the point of the pricing but the fact that they make you pay for it….and it wasn’t even good…extremely thick also. The chef did the onion train at the end while we were eating…??? Isn’t that usually part of the opening act? I think this one experience certainly settled it for me, I’m one and done.
We are from California and Me and my husband went here for our 7 year anniversary and we enjoyed our self the host and food was good.
We came to celebrate my daughter’s 24th birthday. Service was excellent. Edwin, our chef, was amazingly entertaining. Food made to perfection. Cocktails were so good.
My food wasn’t good. My shrimp was cooked to long so they was hard and chewy
DO NOT GO HERE! We are from out of state, visiting Las Vegas for the third time this year and this is the most awful meal we have had. Hibachi is something we frequent quite often where we are from so when visiting this establishment we thought we would be in for a delicious hibachi meal. Let me start by saying that this place has terrible WiFi and no signal inside, but yet you are expected to use an online menu. When it doesn’t load, the staff refuses to give you a paper menu. After fighting with them, they pull out a holiday menu from who knows what year and it has none of the menu items needed to make a selection. HOW CAN YOU ORDER IF YOU DONT KNOW YOUR OPTIONS OR THE COST?
Then, watch your feet! Grease leaks from their tables all over the floor -and if you are not careful you will wind up getting injured (a lawsuit waiting to happen).
It was our children’s birthday this evening and we thought this would be a nice treat but it was anything but- our server forgot our rice, we had to practically beg for refills of drinks. TERRIBLE!!! Also need to say this place has terrible ventilation, so your eyes will be on fire the entire meal.
The only positive thing I have to say about this place is that Kyle S. our hibachi chef was incredibly personable and tried to do all he could to make up for our terrible service.
Don’t even think to ask for a manager! He will ignore you, give no eye contact while you are talking to him, and act like he doesn’t understand what the problem is after he makes you change tables 3 times! He did take 15% off of the check, but in all honesty— 60$ would have been too much to pay for this awful meal.
Portions are small. Not good. Save your money!
Server Dave and chef Edwin were the absolute best!! Truly enjoyed them!!
We waited 2 hours after our reservation to actually eat. Food wasn’t even good.
I had a great dinner but I had reservations at 9:15 and didn’t start eating until 11:00. Unacceptable!!!
It was our 40th wedding anniversary. We made a reservation for 4:15. We got there a few minutes early. The hostess then apologized and said that they were short staffed that evening. She said it would be about a 50 minute wait. We were not allowed to sit at the bar in the restaurant. We went to a bar nearby for a drink. I got a text about 30 minutes later saying that our table was ready. We almost lost our seats because we had to finish our drinks and pay out. Once we got seated, we had a wonderful experience. The waitress was efficient and the cook was entertaining. And our food was excellent. So, overall it was a good experience. I would rather have been contacted earlier to be notified of the extra wait.
Johnny was awesome and made our 1st trip to Benihana enjoyable and memorable. Will definitely come back when in Vegas again!
