Extremely rude servers and staff. Came with friends for restaurant week and was treated like second-class guests. Waiter was impatient and short tempered. Would not recommend.
Food was ok nothing stood out. Waiter rarely checked on us and took a while to bring check.
Sirloin and fillet mignon were really good
The food in the restaurant was amazing, deff recommend
It was awesome. The waitress were very helpfully , the maitre de as well. The food great. The only thing that was a bit sad was that they didn’t ask us for the check and they brought it anyway…Otherwise all was Super!!!!
Went for restaurant week lunch with 2 friends. We each ordered a different appetizer & they were all delicious. We all ordered the sirloin steak. 2 of the steaks were very good, the 3rd, full of tendons which made it hard to cut & chew. When the server asked us how were doing, my friend told him exactly that. He never offered to take it back or bring something else. If not for that, my ratings would have been much higher. The desserts were delicious.
Went here for restaurant week and cannot recommend it enough! The filet steak was unbelievable and the chocolate moose cake literally melted in your mouth. The waiters were amazing and so kind!
The atmosphere was great.
The service was excellent.
The food was very good
Portions were good
I love the Cesar salad and the cheese cake very good.
Went for restaurant week dinner. I started with the grilled calamari, which was terrific - nicely charred, had the perfect chew (i.e. not rubbery), and with a lot of lemon and a little salt was a nice alternative to the usual fried version. I also splurged and ordered three Bluepoint oysters a la carte - they were perfect and beautifully presented in an oversized bowl of ice with the traditional sauces, lemon, and large capers. My friend started with the caesar salad, which he found disappointing, the dressing overly fishy and the salad lacking nice slivers of parmesan. I tasted it and agreed. Not a very good salad.
We both had the junior sirloin for our main course, and there was nothing junior about it. A very generous portion of perfectly medium rare steak on the bone (big plus for me), it was juicy and delicious, with a proper amount of fat. The sides consisted of about a tablespoon of mashed potatoes and a pathetic, paltry, and bland vegetable mix of carrots, cauliflower, and green pepper. The sides were an afterthought, and they would have been better off not having them. Dessert was good, but not spectacular.
The classic steakhouse décor is appealing. Unfortunately, the sound level ruins the ambience - I love pop music and Billy Joel, but when when I am dining out at a pricey restaurant, I want it to be quiet and be able to have a conversation. Add to that a raucous party of youths downstairs and a large family that consisted of two audible toddlers. It has the look of upscale dining with the soundtrack of a sports bar. Worse, the service was spotty. Our server was not rude but was not friendly at all, especially as we saw him dote on the couple two tables away as they ordered expensive cocktails, a bottle of wine, sides, and an extra appetizer.
Benjamin Prime is good, but considering how much better an experience you can have for the same price at Smith & Wollensky, Morton's or probably a dozen other high-end steakhouses, it is not my "Prime" pick.
Beautiful and classic 2 level large dining room - easy to carry on a
conversation - great sound damping. Food was mostly top notch.
Service was outstanding and rarely this good anywhere today.
Kudos to staff !
My friend and I came here for Restaurant Week. I started with the Sizzling Canadian Bacon, which was cooked to perfection. Then I got Filet Mignon for my main course. The chefs made it perfect...juicy and exactly the way that I wanted it cooked. I got the Chocolate Mousse Cake for dessert. It was so delicious that I ordered another dessert too (Creme Brulee). We also ordered two bottles of Cabernet, which was full-bodied and tasty. Our server, Ronnie, was attentive and super nice. I will definitely return.
Truly great steakhouse. Best wedge salad ever. Porterhouse cooked and flavored to perfection. Impeccable service. And a complementary after dinner port to boot.
This was the first time me and my lady were there. This place is UNBELIEVABLE. Service is amazing, food was INCREDIBLE. We will be going back there for sure.
I truly enjoyed my meal. Having the Open table menu for restaurant week, made it affordable for me to explore
I went for restaurant week and was blown away. The ambiance was elegant and the service was incredibly fast. The food was delicious. It couldn't be any better!
I went for restaurant week and the service seemed fine for the tables around us, but it appeared that the food runner had no idea our food was for us and for multiple courses. Tables sat after us (seated near us) would receive half our order then the rest was brought back to the kitchen because it wasn’t for that table. It was weird and very obvious, the manager brought over champagne at the end as a thank you. The food was dry and the mashed potatoes reminded me of hospital cafeteria mashed potatoes. I haven’t been to this restaurant before restaurant week so I’m writing it off as a restaurant week fluke. Hopefully they’re better outside this circumstance.
We enjoyed an excellent meal and service in a lovely, attractive room!
Al, our server, was most accommodating and knowledgable which
definitely contributed to an enjoyable evening.

Birthday dinner with my boyfriend. I’d dined before at Benjamin’s and was excited about the Prime locations’ expanded menu. Unfortunately it didn’t pay off :/. Too loud, mediocre service.
nice place to eat you wont regret it. Staff is prompt and courteous. Prices are a bit high but overall very nice experience.
