   First off, the food was delicious as always. The issues were with the service. One diner clearly stated that they were vegan and requested a cheese was taken off her dish. The dish came with a different cheese on it. Another diner stated they were allergic to pineapple and asked whether the al pastor tacos were cooked together with the pineapples on top. The waiter stated they were not, though after checking with the kitchen found that they are. The food for two diners came out 10 minutes before the other two diners. I love big star, but this was a pretty frustrating dinner.

   Big Star used to be “worth the wait” - maybe it’s a result of industry expenses or understaffing but this was not the experience we were used to. As a former neighborhood go-to for food but everything from the watered down margaritas to the dried up ground beef they tried to pass for chorizo and stale chips and salsa (not to mention three dishes we ordered, that were never delivered but CHARGED FOR…) this is a pass from here out. I absolutely cannot recommend this.

   Very odd from entry til leaving. Music way too loud to try to have a convo. Won't split checks. Had to find server to pay so we could leave. Food just ok.

   Great place! Got the pitcher of Margarita with prickly pear and nachos. It was amazing!

   Made a reservation thinking we’d have an inside table. There was only the bar available when we got there. Andrew and Alex (the bartenders) took good care of us, so that was great. Food came out fast and drinks were delicious.

   The waiter and staff were great! Food came out quickly and was delicious. We had several kids with us and they provided crayons and coloring paper. Thank you big star for being so accommodating!

   Big Star Wicker Park is a constant in my life. I won’t go to any of their other locations. Food quality has gone down a little over the years and their service can be far and between since they’ve gotten more popular. However the ambiance and drinks is why I come back

    Definitely great food, altho a tad too spicy for me, but my friends loved it. The staff was very nice and attentive. I would definitely recommend
