Biggin Hall’s oak-beamed restaurant possesses an abundance of character and is as cosy by candlelight in the evening as it is beautiful during the day with breathtaking views.
Championing a whole host of local produce and seasonal ingredients, embracing a passion for tradition and excellence our kitchen team makes full use of the Peak District's natural larder when selecting produce for the regularly changing menu. Many of the ingredients are of local origin, with the accent on free-range, wholefoods, and natural flavours, together with a seasonal selection of vegetables.
The emphasis of the menu is on simplicity and taste. Meals are imaginatively planned and freshly cooked with daily changing menus featuring a set course with a vegetarian option. It is this straightforward approach to cooking that allows the quality of the ingredients to shine through.
Please be aware we do not accept children under the age of 12 years old at dinner time or for overnight stays.

We had a lovely evening at Biggin Hall and the food and service were great! I was impressed that they remembered (from my booking) that I can't eat gluten and brought me gluten free bread and menu without me having to prompt them. It was a great atmosphere and a lovely venue. We will be back! :)

Monday evening wedding anniversary celebration meal which did not disappoint. The staff are attentive and friendly, very efficient no waiting around for service at all. The food menu is very good choice and value. The food was well presented and flavoursome did not disappoint expectation. The only tiny critique is the dining chairs could be a little comfier but the overall environment is lovely. The surprise complementary anniversary desserts were very much appreciated. The Hotel is in a very scenic part of the world but be prepared for the fog in winter.

Beautiful lunch with my partner.we go about once a month the menu can be a bit repetitive but it’s consistently excellent .The staff are lovely apart from the manager who never seems to smile but he obviously excels at recruitment because his staff are happy and friendly and nothing is too much trouble .

Birthday family gathering. Accommodate diet and allergies exceptionally well. Food was a set 2 or 3 course on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant was very busy at 7:30pm but the staff still maintained a attentive service. Food good quality, plenty of side vegetables and great value. Will definitely come back, beautiful period hotel set in gorgeous grounds.

We booked a table in the restaurant first then looked at the rooms in the hotel which looked amazing so we decided to stay over. It was amazing the warm welcome from staff on arrival, the hotel is charming and immaculate, the food and service was 100%we will definitely be booking again.

Always a great experience! Amazing food, lovely dining area, excellent service. There was a slight delay with our desserts (which was so slight we didn't even notice),but even so we were offered a free complimentary drink. Have never been disappointed with going here and couldn't recommend it enough.

It was lovely to be back at Biggin Hall Hotel! It's changed since we were last there. The dining room has been extended with a lovely wall of glass to the rear, making it feel a little more modern, but it doesn't take away that cosy ambience that Biggin has always had. We were escorted to our table where Adam introduced himself as he would be waiting on our table for the evening. He was charming and we had a few laughs with him as he kept us supplied with food and drink. The service was very good! What can I say about the food, every course was delicious, our compliments to the chef and his team. Overall we had a lovely night at Biggin and we will be booking again soon.

Couldn’t fault this restaurant- lovely (C-19 guided) service, superb food, good well priced wines, lovely setting (we dined in the Library rather than the main restaurant). When we are next in that area it will be a must revisit!

We dined here on Valentines Day and the food was terrific. Because we had booked a stay at the hotel we got a three course meal for £29. Unbelievable value for the quality of the food. Would return again in a heartbeat.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The menu had some lovely choices that we perused whilst having drinks in the lounge. The waitresses were all very professional and the service provided was very slick. Everyone knew what they were doing. Our meal was exceptional, the presentation was on point and all dishes tasted were delicious. We had complimentary coffee in the lounge afterwards which was a nice touch. Thank you to all at Biggin Hall we will be visiting again very soon.
