   Bin 54 never disappoints. The Vesper martini is to die for and the steaks are divine. Tonight we had the shrimp appetizer which was the perfect compliment!

   Both my wife and I ordered our steaks medium. I expect some pink in that. The steaks were well done / overcooked. Given the prices, I cannot recommend this place.

   Come on, Bin54; this is the best you can do?!?! The Caesar wasn't traditional and overpowered by dressing, however, garlic crostini was very good. Source of mussels not identified on menu and lacked firmness, possibly overcooked, and the broth had no flavor! Calamari was heavily breaded and sweet chili sauce only made it soggy and didn't compliment the appetizer. The bottle of wine and hanger steak were excellent, but disappointed that 10oz filet mignon was not a center cut and arrived in pieces or was sliced in the back kitchen. The French fries were great and loved, loved the banana pudding!!!!!!

   Well worth the visit. Steak was tender and delicious with just a hint of a smoky flavor. Wedge salad was perfect and scalloped potatoes were outstanding. Provided a very nice evening.

    Always a Chapel Hill staple for fine dining and special occasions. Love that it’s still like a hole in the wall place! Celebrated another anniversary here, and as always the meal was excellent as well as the service and ambiance. Enjoyed delicious crab cake and salad followed by filet, accompanied with scalloped potatoes and asparagus. 5 stars!

    Overall, it was a nice experience but the food was extremely over priced. My husband ordered the 2lb rib eye and there was absolutely no way it was what they claimed. Additionally, my filet mingoin was over cooked. Our waiter was difficult to hear in the loud room. I will say the sommelier was excellent and gave fantastic recommendations. It was nice but for the ridiculous large amount of money we spent, we will not be going back.

    The service was excellent but we found the food overall to be too salty. For some reason the steaks are served cut into strips. Too expensive, even for a special night out.

    We eat there 5-6 times a year and always love it. Great for special occasions. You need reservations. Food prep is spot on! They can address all my wife’s allergies.

    We had a wonderful date night thanks to the staff. The food was some of the best Mac and cheese and filet mignon we have ever had. The staff was very attentive and did not rush us although it was the end of the night. We definitely will be coming back. Our waiter also made sure that when our appetizer took somewhat long that he took that off the bill. Thank you again!

    This is one of the finest restaurants in the Triangle. From the moment you walk in and are pleasantly greeted, you know it will be a great evening. The servers is impeccable; friendly and professional. The food, ah the food! We all had the filet which is excellent. The potato purée is magnificent and the creamed spinach is delicious.

    The service and ambience were great. The food was disappointing. The steak and vegetables were way over salted and detracted from what I am sure were quality food. There are other fine dining options in the area so Bin 54 is on our ‘not really want to repeat list’.

    Bin 54 came highly recommended to me by a foodie I trust in such things. Made the mistake of trying it for the first time on Valentine's Day. We were seated on the bar side, which was noisy and a bit chaotic. Prix fixe entrees (grilled striploin, duck breast) were excellent, but appetizers and desserts were hit (crabcake, chocolate gateau) or miss (lobster bisque, coconut panna cotta). Excellent wine selection, of course. Service was reasonably attentive for as busy as it was. Would like to try it again on a less hectic night, with a less restricted menu.

    Very expensive, which we knew going in, but it was not worth the cost (some super-expensive restaurants are). Some of the food was outstanding, and the people were very nice, and I honestly think this restaurant has the chance to be an A++ restaurant, but a couple things detracted from our evening: (1) For dessert, I don't recall the name of what I ordered but it was supposed to be similar to flan (that's what our server said). It took a long time to come out -- we were apologized to several times and were told they were trying to get it to set. After quite a while (long after their first estimate), it came out and was pure liquid. Fine, mistakes happen... but when I'm paying a single price for the full dinner, and it's a high price, everything needs to be at least presentable. (2) They sat us in a place right by the front door where people come in. Lucky us, we were one of the 2-3 tables that didn't get to sit in the dining room (which looked nice when I walked back in there). I don't know if they were trying to cram more tables in wherever they could find room for Valentine's Day or what. Anyway, it was a cold night, and also the vent above us was blowing cold air, so between all that we were freezing. This place could easily get 5 stars, and maybe it was just bad luck for us that night, but I wouldn't go above 3 stars, and next time we want to spend that level of money, we'll probably go to some of our tried and true places.

    Wonderful food and great service in a very upscale intimate setting. My only negative is that during our meal there was repeated loud piercing whistling coming from the kitchen/wait area. This is perfectly fine for tailgating, but not what I expect from any high end establishment.

    Overall great experience. Food was excellent, service was exceptional and the ambiance was very nice. We had the Valentine’s day meal with the wine accompaniment and that’s my only shortfall. Given the restaurant’s multiple year Wine Spectator award I felt the selections didn’t meet expectations.

    Seated promptly upon arrival and server welcomed us. Didn’t feel that the food was worth the money spent and the service was okay at best. Salad was good and came out quickly which was good because the food took forever to arrive.

    Went with a group of 6. Half of us ordered medium and half ordered medium rare. All 6 were under cooked. I could not even cut into my medium rare and had literally saw at the meat. Not once did our server come to the table to check on us during the entree portion of the meal. They even had to recook 3 of the steaks and that killed the entire experience and even then I still couldn’t cut the steak. Ended up eating a third of the steak. Server then came over with the check and disappeared again. Nothing was taken care of, will definitely not come back here again. Be very careful if you’re coming with more than 2 or 3 people. This place can not handle a group.

    Steaks were nicely done. Blackened shrimp app was delicious. One suggestion would be that they cook the bacon chunks to a crisper texture. The flavor of the bacon in the twice- baked potato, the wedge salad, and the brussel sprouts would have benefited from additional browning.

    Steak was incredibly good. Wait staff…Ryan and Mike were professional but approachable and friendly. We were afraid it would be stuffy but everyone seemed to be having a great time. This might replace Kipo’s as our favorite restaurant.

    Overall wasn’t super happy with how crazy expensive this was for the taste or what you get. Thankful we had a gift card or it would have been ridiculously expensive. Don’t think it’s worth the price at all. Could have had a better steak at home!

    We had a wonderful time. The food was excellent, the service was above and beyond, and even though they were out of some selections every replacement they made was equivalent in taste and satisfaction. We will definitely be coming back.
