    Great food. I had to push my reservation back half an hour and it wasnt a problem at all. The drinks I requested during the reservation was delivered with no fuss on arrival. Friendly staff. Was a great night for both of us.

    Food and service next level. Everything you could ask for. Hawksbury river prawns caught literally the morning you eat them were extroadinary. Sydney is blessed atm with great new restaurants however Bistro 916 is in my top 5 (amongst some serious heavy hitters).

    Disappointing overall. Had heard good things but thought being charged 10%surcharge for a table of 6 rude. Don’t mind paying for a good meal but yabby entree special was completely tasteless at $27 for 2 small barely cooked and no flavours added! Steak Frits was grisly and Bernaise sauce bland to say the least. We had to request S&P for the table to compensate. Music way too loud but staff were friendly.

    Celebrated our anniversary here and the ambience and menu took us back to the gorgeous Parisian lazy lunches. The $1 oysters were a hit, absolute quality. This was followed by duck frites ( a must-order), and their double cheeseburger. What a lovely memory we have of this place and we will make a concerted effort to come back again and again!

    Food was great, however our waiter made the experience very uncomfortable. She was rude and made it known to us we needed to hurry up to meet the timeframe. Everyone at the table left feeling uncomfortable. Couldnt fault the food though!

    Amazing - we’ve been there many times but this was probably the best. Every dish was faultless, the service was amazing despite the fact we had a barky dog with us. Also, can’t go wrong with $1 oysters. Well done 👏

    Both my partner and I discussed at length on what we could do to make our experience at Bistrot 916 more perfect than what it was. The answer was, nothing!!! Fantastic food, ambience, service, timing between courses, and wine selection. Deliberately choosing different entree’s, mains, deserts and cheeses we tried and shared everything throughout the menu to see who had hypothetically won “ best dish of the course.” In hindsight, this was a useless exercise as everything we tried was simply delicious!! Bistrot 916 is a gem and a must if you love French cuisine. We will be definitely returning to see what other dishes we can try, wines we can drink, and look forward to continuing our game and debate of “best dish!”
