About this restaurant

The Bistrot de Venise was first opened in 1993. It is a place where people can meet up and savour the Cuisine & Wine as they enjoy figurative arts, poetry, cultural gatherings and a host of other activities dedicated to Venice.

…in 1999, the Bistrot de Venise took its concept of blending culture, food and wine from the Veneto region a step further when it began to carry out research into Rare Wines and Historical Venetian Cuisine. …We are still steadfastly continuing along this path today…

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Bistrot de Venise. I chose the four-course tasting menu with the wine pairing, and every course was exceptional. The dishes were beautifully prepared, thoughtfully presented, and full of flavor. The wine pairings complemented each course perfectly and elevated the entire meal. What stood out most was the combination of traditional Venetian influences with creative, refined execution. The service was attentive, knowledgeable, and welcoming without being intrusive. This was one of the most memorable meals of our trip to Venice, and I would highly recommend the tasting menu with wine pairing to anyone looking for a special dining experience. Delicious food, excellent wines, and a fantastic atmosphere—an easy five stars.

Attentive service, the best I have had in Italy. Food is excellent, possibly a little “fancy” for some tastes. Great spot for a romantic dinner.

Bistrot de Venice was fantastic. The squid pasta was rich and perfectly cooked, and the cream cod was silky and flavorful. Wonderful service and a great Venetian atmosphere — highly recommend!

The food here was exceptional. Traditional Venetian food made interesting, unique. The atmosphere is cozy and elegant at the same time. One of my favorite restaurants in Venice.

What a great Venetian experience! The award winning seafood risotto was remarkable as was the eggs with truffles as a starter. The sommelier guided us to some reasonably priced wines - a refreshing surprise for a restaurant of this quality. Great Italian and English speaking waiters. We will be back to try the soft shell crabs when in season! Oh the Murano glass water bottles are the most beautiful we have ever seen!
