Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill is a vibrant Japanese restaurant and sushi bar. We proudly offer traditional Sushi & Sashimi as well as entrees from our hot kitchen, including Grilled Skirt Steak, Oxtail Fried Rice, Steamed Lobster, Salmon Teriyaki, and our famous Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken. We are nestled in the historic and newly restored Plymouth Hotel near the Miami Beach Convention Center across from the Bass Museum. Amazing service, hospitality, & food - chef’s kiss. Our waiter, Alejandro, took it over the top. We followed his recommendations for the entire meal and it was 🔥🔥. His passion for hospitality made this a top 10 dining experience.

Always so a wonderful experience at Blue Ribbon Sushi. The location itself is gorgeous, a rare art deco hotel lobby that opens to a lovely restaurant with outdoor patio by a pool. Reminds us of the Hollywood-era hotels. The food is superior, don’t skip the Japanese-style fried chicken, the fresh salmon caviar, and the very fresh fish choices. Dessert is also a must, including the yuzu crème brûlée! After your meal, hang out at the bar and/or go over the Bass Museum just across the street - Miami Beach at its best!

Place was very nice. Service was great. Just had a problem with the food. I went there for my daughter’s birthday with friends we all order different foods two of my guest order the oxtail, and there was no oxtail all mushrooms. We returned it with no complaints our server even said yes looks like they forgot to put the meat 😳. I’ll try them again sometime in the future. 👍🏼

The server made me and my husband feel very uncomfortable. He was talking to his coworker and pointed at with his head and both laughed! We told him we wanted the edamame spicy it came plane! Worst experience ever! Food wasn’t good at all paid $144 for food that wasn’t even enough! We had to go to a different spot after! The people sitting next to us made us feel uncomfortable too just horrible over all we literally wasted out money there. I don’t recommend!

I’ve been going to Blue Ribbon since it was at the old location and it’s been my favorite sushi place by far locally. The last two times though the freshness and quality of the fish is not what it has been consistently for years. We ordered a wide variety to sample. There can be an odd night anywhere, but I’ve had the same experience twice. Love the place, and the NYC Columbus Circle branch still is tops. Places cycle, and I hope this place regains its top status again.

I know Blue Ribbon for a long time and always had good memories from it. As sushi has become more popular in the US there are many restaurants that now provide better sushi options. Better quality, more creative and better presentation. Ultimately Japanese kitchen is all about these three things. Quality, creativity and presentation. And for the supermarket sushi quality they offer today the price is too high. The staff is nice, just the one guy always ran into my chair. Once is fine, twice is surprising, but it didn’t stop there. And no apology. He for sure has never been in Japan where distance is what they do well.

I enjoyed my food a lot but also thought almost all of the dishes could use a lot more flavor. The restaurant itself was beautiful. We had great service. Very pricey though for a casual party of 4 early dinner.

Amazing lunch special! The food is super delicious! The only issue was that we both had lunch preset menu, and my appetizer arrived 10 min after my friend's, so it was quite awkward to decide either we let his soup go cold or I needed to stare at him eating.
