    The savouries were stale. Tasted like they were made in the morning and left out the entire day. The cakes were a little better, with a good onde onde cake. Service was spotty, curtains at the window where my table was had food stains. The tea I had was good. But for $76++ I expected a lot better.

    Lovely place with impecable service. Came for wife's birthday and a cake was presented at the end of the meal. Love the grill and the king prawn just hit all the right notes for me.

    my visit in aug 2023 was stellar. food + service + ambience are all excellent. this second visit in sept 2023 is a let-down cos they changed their menu and everything tasted SUPER OFF + weird. the locally inspired dishes are too experimental in terms of flavours, so it is a hit and miss (mostly MISS) for flavour. the only edible thing was the scone . latte is v milky and diluted. a big disappointment cos i brought my parents for one of their birthday celebration and they WERE so unhappy cos the food was AWFUL. :((

    Food was fantastic. Steak was fantastic. The highlight was the MacNCheese. Dessert was great. Wine selection was limited Th service was underwhelming. They were courteous and nice, but not what was expected for fine dining service. For some reason the wait staff finally appeared 1945h? It was hard to get the staff attention. I think the wait staff was siphoned to another event?

    Service was hit-and-miss: Everyone was friendly and polite but with different levels of competency. Our first waiter didn't bother explaining the system nor offer any drinks. Then came a waiter who was absolutely fantastic, explaining everything and being thorough and attentive. Then came another one or two that did just the bare minimum - so at least plates were always cleared. However, with service, the "Chef Pass-arounds" were a disaster. The "passing" always started on the other side of the restaurant from where we were, so it almost never made it to us. By the time the first (of 4) options arrived, we were already having desserts (80 minutes after first sitting down). The 3rd one came when we already asked for the bill, the last one came after the bill (100 minutes in). The foie gras (which came last) was a thorough disappointment - completely overcooked and had the texture of rubber. Speaking of the bill, after we had asked for it with one of the waiters, he said "right away" before proceeding to flirt around with other tables - and then completely forgetting about it. We had to ask for it a second time, 15 minutes later. With someone else, of course. That said, the seafood selection was phenomenal, and so were the desserts. I'd recommend going all out on the buffet line (appetisers and desserts) and just saving yourself the trouble of the rest of it - the mains weren't notable either. A hit-and-miss experience overall, not quite satisfying with enough saves to prevent it from being classed as disappointing.

    We are a SupperClub member and we have been at the Champagne brunch several time before but this time the service was not up to your normal standar. We need to highlight so we get champagne, take long time for the different small food to be served and several time it was empty on the ice for Lobster and oyster . Feels like the staff need to be more observant and maybe you need some more staff. Food quality was as usual very good and I think it will be good after some more training/practise.

    Food is good. Service is horrific. The server dunked a cake stand leg in my half eaten chili crab cup and said "oh". I said "it's OK, I was done with it anyway". She shrugged and walked away. Didn't say sorry. Did offer something else. Didn't bother to clear the cup. Servers constantly squeezed through the small space between my chair and the chair of the person behind me, essentially nudging into us both every time they walked through whilst there was space for them to go around. Food was generally OK.

    The seafood are soooo nice👍🏻 and worth for the price. I ordered the main course of beef with the truffle mashed potatoes but it doesn't suit my taste 🤣

    They have a vegan option high tea, which is good for me as I am the only vegan in the family. We loved the savoury items, the dessert items were a bit too sweet for us. Would have been good if the waiter had paid a bit more attention to details. My empty tea cup was stained and he actually served me ice cream, which was not part of the vegan menu.

    Food overall ok for set menu, meat wasn’t rendered properly , deserts were poor. Service was very bad for a 5 star hotel, lead lady spent half the time chatting to two guests that may have worked for hotel but were guests, she also filled water across the table putting arms over our food. Never filled up wine , poor considering it was a $300 bottle. Staff didn’t even check tables or look at us when we wanted a drink just walked past . Very poor considering at least 5 staff and only 10 tables . Only shining light was a Filipino lady who was very good and did the majority of work compared to ALL the other staff . For a st Regis worst we’ve been to .

    Quite the typical layout consistent with 5 star Hotel buffet. Was expecting to find something that I hadn't tasted before or being served in a buffet before but apart from the cavier and tiny ikura served, there were no surprises. The Dessert spread had winners like the red-colored Yuzu filled dessert and the chocolate eclair. As a Champagne Brunch @$235 including tax, I feel that it is a little overpriced.

    Food was good and we really enjoyed the variety of the bread basket and the large dish of creme brulee! The service staff seem inexperienced. The hostess did not know how to check for my reservation and had to ask her manager for help. The Indian server assigned to our station was very earnest and hardworking, but his English was not adequate and he got our order wrong. I ended up with my steak done medium when I wanted medium rare. And my husband's skirt steak which was rather gamey, ended up medium rare. Another server who brought our steals over was from China and could not speak English and we could not understand her English, till we spoke to her in Mandarin. Some training would definitely enhance the image of a 6 star hotel. Otherwise the food was delicious.

    The main dish was not satisfying, the staff seem cannot wait to end their shift, they don't seem understanding their instruction, someone was wearing a blue rubber glove cleaning our table while we are still having dessert. Quite shocking, coming from St Regis.

    Excellent service - we were celebrating my husband's birthday and were given a quiet table as requested. The servers were extremely attentive, delivered exceptional service and proactively offered extra care to my husband as he was not feeling well. Thank you for helping us have a nice celebration in spite of the wet weather and him being unwell.

    This review is for the Pop up Astor Grill. I ordered the Black Angus Steak and the slice was very thin, probably 0.2-0.3inches thick, and what made it worse is that the cut was uneven. The cut was terrible because 80% was cooked through despite asking for medium rare. Seasoning was great and sadly the best dish was desert. I had high hopes but was at a business lunch and the group didnt think the food was great unfortunately.

    My husband had the ribeye steak, while I opted for the boston lobster. I get the 'customised' dining experience by letting us choose the knives, however, there were no steak knives (with serrated edges), nor any proper lobster eating tools to choose from. However the place and ambience was spectacular.

    I spotted this restaurant in a Time Out listing, raving about a new "pop up". It was simply a marketing trick, as the experience was really poor. Utterly bland food, dressed up as something special. I really resent this kind of trickery, and hope others at least will not fall for it.

    24 June 2023 Saturday, your slim Indian waiter is very attentive, prompt, efficient. Without hesitation he sang softly happy birthday song, went to get knife and helped to take professional pictures. He also took water for us after a Filipino lady forgot about our water throughout the meal. His service is exceptional even the way he serve food is very professional from the angle and manner put on dining table without hitting table without hitting other plate or cup. I have visited your wonderful restaurant more than once, and he is the best so far puts his heart to his work and hurriedly went on to do his other duties. I look forward to visiting your restaurant again and will be delighted. Pls do consider him for higher level such as supervisory or leadership as he will definitely be a good investment asset to your restaurant.

    It’s always exasperating going to restaurants in St Regis. Lack of staff and bad communication between receptionist and service staff. I called to confirm my reservation the day before and pre ordered my mains as my lunch is late and based on experience service is slow. Lo and behold. My order was not put through. Service was again disappointing
