   Unbearably hot. The daytime manager insists on keeping the door open - it was so hot that we got up and left and ate at Lucca across the street which was much more pleasant. We then went back to Bricco for drinks. The new manager had closed the door and turned the AC on and it was great.

   Server and service terrible. The server was not friendly or welcoming from the start. He had difficulties remembering allergies (didn’t write down and we needed to repeat a few times), didn’t offer suggestions on menu or tell us anything about the menu, forgot about bringing ordered wine until late into our dining, never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything after food was brought-didn’t see server again until he brought dessert menus-and basically seemed uninterested in our table. However, the bus boy did do a good job of refilling water glasses. The restaurant is noisy and tables are extremely close. There are many other places in the North End with as good, if not better, food and atmosphere and with far superior service and staff who are hospitable and go out of their way to give you a memorable dining experience.

   I took my sister here since we was visiting Boston. I wouldn't recommend this place. The service was extremely slow! The waitress didn't even bother with our table but saw her being very responsive to other tables. The stars are only for the 2 of the three dishes and nothing else. I would rate them 1 for service Food: They clearly seemed to remember to provide the table for the bread to each table around us except for us. We had to request them TWICE for bread. The pesto based dip was good ( after we received the bread 40 min into us being there ) the bread was extremely dry and hard to chew through. The oysters were fresh and delicious. The risotto ( chefs special for the day ) was salmon based and I wouldn't order it again, it was average and I have eaten better for lesser price. The ricotta pillows were delicious. We skipped dessert because we were not interested in receiving bad service. Really disappointed by the service we were provided. It seemed like we were being treated differently the rest of people dining there.

   We went for an anniversary dinner. First, we were told that we could sit only outside because we had a service dog. We told them that we should be able to sit inside, then they seated us at a very tiny table that barely had a space between the tables, and the dog didn't have a space to lay down. (We notified them that we are coming with a service dog when we made a reservation). When we ordered the first drinks and asked the waiter if we could keep the drink menu as we were planning to order more, the waiter said: "I'm better than this" and took the menu away. When we told him we would like to order wine, he didn't let us pick and served the wine he picked. We did like the wine, but we wanted to see our options. The pasta we ordered was undercooked (It was hard, and we could clearly see the white part). When we let him know, he said, "It's called al dente." The food was good other than undercooked pasta. Then we order deserts, we ordered a particular drink with less sweet, but he said he can't do it. (I just asked him not to put one liquor that makes sweet). Then he brought a drink he liked which didn't go with the dessert we ordered. I didn't drink then he took it out from the check.

    Our server rushed us through our dinner it was a very rude experience! We were in and out in 45 min because the server rushed us and didn’t let us sit down to relax and enjoy our birthday dinner celebration. Food was delicious but server and experience was bad.

    Had a dinner party at Bricco, as always the food was great. The place is always lively and the atmosphere was full of energy. Our reservation was for 6 but I need to bump to 8 and they were very helpful and accommodating. Unfortunatly, the service was sub-par. The waiter only came back once to offer drinks and we waited a very long time to order our meal, it felt like he knew he was going to get an 18% tip either way because the party was over 6 people and just didn't try that hard with our table. Its too bad but the food was still good. I would recommend Bricco in the future but for parties less than 6.

    Stuffed veal chop was incredibly small and mediocre at best. Had to try to fill up on desserts and the cheesecake/ tiramisus that also were less than average. Went home hungry and food overpriced. The martinis were great as was the service but I’d rather go to federal hill for a veal chop. Camille’s anyone ? Lol

    My daughter lives near this restaurant and we went there for dinner. This is a busy, popular restaurant in a busy, popular area. We made a reservation. We arrived 7 minutes early and were seated straight away. The bar service was timely and the service overall was very good. Meal was paced properly. The food was excellent but, as might be expected, was not budget oriented so check out the menu before you go to ensure this is what you are seeking. I would recommend Bricco as a good quality restaurant with very good service. Upstairs seems quieter than downstairs and we were able to carry on a reasonable conversation but it is very European-style dining with lots of people close together. There is pretty much very limited parking if you are driving (need to park in a garage somewhere) so allow enough time for walking to the restaurant. The Green Line and the Orange line travel to Haymarket station but you can easily walk to the North End from most anywhere downtown. I would recommend it if you want a nice meal.

    This restaurant was amazing. Everything we ordered was delicious. The charcuterie and meatballs were fantastic. My son had the filet (cooked perfect) I had the agnolotti. It was perfect …… heavenly. So good!!!! Highly recommend. Our waitress was friendly and food came out at a nice pace.

    Big disappointment for a 5 star restaurant and one that is supppsed to be best in the city. I had the Caesar salad, baby carrots and a filet. Salad was soggy, bitter and dressing was horrible. Baby carrots no flavor and the filet was half medium rare the way I ordered it and half well. Not very good. My friend ordered the pasta special and the pasta was dry. I’ve eaten here before, and maybe an off night in the kitchen, but when you pay top dollar, you want a great meal. Be hard pressed to go back. I

    The food was good, the music was way too loud. The extreme volume of the music prevented any conversation .. we basically rushed through dinner to get out so we could talk to each other. Very disappointing.. we ended up not ordering more drinks, appetizers or dessert so we could just finish to get out. We were hoping to have a nice night out with people we haven’t seen .. hoped to enjoy a couple of drinks, appetizers , dinner and dessert but basically forced to leave

    The food was excellent. I love that it was so relaxed it makes it so much more enjoyable. I didn’t love the added gratuity. (we were a party of six so I understand) but the service was excellent.

    The food was absolutely delicious. We got the wellfleet mussels as an appetizer & they were well cooked. I got the Colorado rack of lamb with mashed potatoes. The lamb was cooked perfectly & so tender. My boyfriend got the filet mignon & asparagus. He said the steak cut like butter. We were, unfortunately, too full for dessert, but we’d definitely come back here again.

    Outstanding food and service as always but it’s just so incredibly loud. It’s nearly impossible to have a normal conversation, especially on a date. I’m not sure how to rectify it… but I’ll still keep coming nonetheless.

    Flew in from Seattle and we always try a different place in little Italy. We definitely pick a good one. Our waiter actually was from Italy and all his wine and food suggestions were spot on. The wild boar on fresh pasta was five star and the pistachio pudding was out of this world. Definitely recommend for a great dining experience. This is not your traditional red sauce pasta joint so if that is what your after not the place for you.

    1 of the 7 entrees was excellent. The others were fine but not worth the price. The desserts were fine but not worth the price. The ambiance in the main seating area seemed enjoyable but we were seated in a small upstairs area that provided a narrow through way to the ladies’ room. We visited Mamma Maria’s and Mare in the North End prior. They were much better.
