   Overall, the food was good but nothing special. Perhaps the fact that we waited 30 plus minutes to be seated may have set the mood. Once we ordered our dinner, soup and salad came quickly but entree arrived after a long wait. Food was room temperature but tasty. Realizing that they may have been short staffed is taken into consideration. Our waitress was very accommodating, upbeat and offered suggestions on the menu. She was a delight.

   The worst service we had in a while. The waitress never checked to see if our food came out correctly or was good. We requested items that were never received, water was not refilled. Appetizers plates were on a table until we left. Not the usual service for this location. Food quality and service are not the same as before, both are definitely going in the wrong direction.

   Service was slow. The food was mediocre. The Shrimp and Eggplant dish was extremely salty. The Calamari was rubbery and tough. We had a reservation but were seated next to the kitchen, so it was noisy. A disappointing dining experience,

    In days gone by they served Focaccia bread and fantastic dipping oil. No more Focaccia and the dipping oil is OK but not great. Pasta Brio was up to its normal standards and our server did a nice job.

    Brio is one of my go-to restaurants when I have a small group of friends, because they consistently handle the group well, and their food is always fantastic. This evening was no exception. Our group of nine was seated promptly and Jordan, our waitress, was outstanding. If I HAD to complain, it would be that they send out the food with other staff who have no idea who ordered what, so it becomes a state of confusion trying to match diners with their dinners, especially when the staff isn't even positive what they're serving. This is a minor quibble, however, and definitely not limited to Brio. Bottom line, their food is fantastic and we've always had great service as well. My personal recommendation: the shrimp and eggplant appetizer is without equal!

    Unfortunately, the staff was short-handed. While they were kind and professional, service was delayed and disorganized. The food quality was below par, with a salad drowning in dressing and an entree that tasted like it had been microwaved. At this price point, I expect much higher quality.

    Our server brought the wrong meal to the table. When we informed her that my wife had ordered something different, she acted like it was our fault. There was a lack of apology, however, she went to the kitchen and ordered what my wife had originally selected. She said they were working on it, but my wife waited very long time to receive her dinner. There was no attempt to accept accountability.

    The young man hosting was SO friendly (some young hosts are painfully shy). The waiter really accommodated our special dietary needs. Food at Brio is always excellent.

    Great food and the server tried, but was overseated numerous times with large parties, and could not keep up with the standard of service you know at Brio! Food was good, filet cooked to perfection -- but service lacked as our poor server was running around like crazy-- waited over 10 mins for the checked to be picked so we could leave! Not the usual service for this location, they had 3 large parties of 8+ and 1 larger party of 20+ -- it was too much for the staff to handle along with the usual crowd! Better staffing would serve the customers and staff better in the future!

    We were seated in a timely fashion at the time of our reservation. Upon ordering appetizers we were informed that the restaurant was out of shrimp. That included the entrées that two of us were there to order. I proceeded to order the entrée that I wanted minus the shrimp, and was assured that there would be a down charge related to the fact that no shrimp would be included in the meal. We waited an hour and a half for our food. Had difficulty getting our beverages refilled. And we had to flag down a separate waitress for our complementary bread that should’ve been placed at our table upon arrival. This was 30 minutes into the seating. When the bill was presented, no down charge was taken off of the meal that was supposed to contain the absent shrimp. When questioned, the waiter stated that the manager wouldn’t allow it. When I asked to speak to the manager, the waiter went around the corner in full view of our table, promptly returned, and then said the manager approved it. We are frequent clients of this restaurant, but no more. The quality of the food, and the quality of service has plummeted. So sad to see.

    I normally eat lunch at Brio or Dinner. We decided to try their Brunch offerings on Sunday. VERY limited menu, no omelettes. Only a scrambled egg dish, avacado toast, french toast (which they were out of). And on Sundays they don't have a Lunch menu, just dinner and brunch (with not much offered). We won't return for Brunch again.

    Wow what a disappointment. We used to love Brio and it was a regular lunch and occasional dinner spot for years until Covid. We finally made it back for dinner and it was just as crowded as ever which made us think it must still be good. Wrong. To start, we couldn’t believe how run down the facilities were, terrible torn and saggy, uncomfortable booths, worn out carpet, dirty bathrooms, knicks in the walls, worn tables, just in desperate need of a complete overhaul. The front desk staff was friendly and we were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time. Someone brought bread and water to the table almost immediately. They used to serve amazing herbed cracker type bread but it’s been replaced with a sour dough loaf that was warm but dry and tasteless. Our server was very kind but not attentive, never checked to see if our food came out correctly or was good. Our cocktails were weak and uninspired. Chopped salads, used to be a favorite, were soggy with several pieces of bad lettuce and mushy diced cucumbers. My pasta dish was very good and hot. My husbands salmon looked terrific with good flavor but was cold. Not even slightly warm, just cold. We didn’t send it back or even attempt to tell the server as she didn’t come back for quite awhile. So disappointed that a long time favorite has to be marked off the list. For the price there are so many better choices in the Frontenac area.

    Value just wasn't there. The entre was a pasta dish served cold and it was supposed to be hot. It was pasta with some vegetables with a sauce and some chicken. Mostly it was pasta and sauce. Could have made it in my own kitchen. Wasn't worth the $17.00 price tag because there was very little vegetables or chicken and the dish wasn't very imaginative. I ordered octopus for the table as an appetizer. What a mistake. It was chewy. The worse I've ever had. I'll never recommend Brio to anyone and I'll never come back. Way over priced. Service was slow and the food was nothing to write home about.

    Two of us ate at Brio yesterday. Britney's service was perfect. Our salmon fresca and the shrimp and scallop risotto were delicious. We also enjoyed a margarita and a glass of the house white wine.

    Food and service was okay but the restaurant was out of out of a lot. They had no sausage which half their dishes consist of. They were also out of bud light, michalob ultra and a few of the wines. My party made it work and still enjoyed ourselves but we didn’t see the value last night for what we spent.

    Our server was excellent. She was attentive, patient, and friendly. We did not feel rushed at all. Three out of four meals met expectations. Two were Chicken Limone and one was Gluten free pasta pomodoro. Italian Wedding soup and lobster bisque were delicious as usual. Food was served hot and portions were appropriate. One meal was disappointing. Chicken Caprese was chewy, lacked flavor, and was served warm almost cold. Also, they were out of sausage at 4:30pm on a Saturday night. This was disappointing and took away a number of “go to” items. It’s always noisy there. We’ll be back!
