Dining at Brooklyn chop house was an awesome experience with the exception of the strict seating policy. We were 10 minutes past the grace
for our reservation and had to dine outdoors, however I still enjoyed the dining experience. Food and service was excellent.
I came to celebrate my birthday. I had a 9:15pm reservation for indoor dinning. I called at 6pm to confirm the table. When I arrived at 9:05pm there was a line around the corner. I assumed it was for to go orders but was told it was the line to get inside. That seemed strange but joined the line like everyone else. As I’m waiting online with my friends the “host” keeps coming to “check” on us but nothing is really happening. While on line we see the “host” taking people behind us off of the line and escorting them inside. It is obvious as to what is going on. I felt disrespected at the fact that on a cold night in the city that I had to wait over an hour outside on line for a reservation that I showed up to on time for while the girls with fake bodies and fake influence wake inside. No me and and my friend might not be those type of girls, we are hard working gainfully employed women. So when I asked what is taking so long I was told people weren’t getting up and that the Owners didn’t want to rush people to dine within the 90 minute time frame.
We were finally seated it was 10:20. We were told we to had to rush and order our food because they close at 11pm. So because they weren’t rushing the people inside that exceeded the 90 minute time frame, my party now has to rush to eat and socialize in less than an hour. How does that work? I’m so confused. In addition, the waiter told us due to it being so late we could not order any steaks, which was the reason why we came. Also they didn’t have any more soft shell crab or apple fried wontons. Talk about highly disappointed. The night was a total disaster.
Lastly we ordered some food to go. At 11pm they are looking at us like we were are stupid because we are still sitting there. Told the server that we never received our to go order that was place at 10:45 according to my receipt. Come to find out the kitchen never made the order and guess what the kitchen is now closed and the chef left. Like give me a break
Even though you have a reservation you still have to wait hours in line just to get in, once your in, if it’s close to closing; now they are rushing you, not worth the wait, but with all that said the food was excellent, if you don’t mind the wait outside, then it’s okay.
My friends and I had a reservation for 8pm on a Saturday night. We arrived on time. As I approached a noticed a line which wrapped around the corner. I was then told by security that was the line for reservations. The entire statement makes zero sense. We didn’t get inside until 9:15. We waited on line, in the cold, for an hour and 15mins. Tables are not 6ft apart, but there are dividers. If you’re accepting reservations and patrons STILL have to wait on line outside to get in you’re doing something terribly wrong. I would never give them my business again.
My moms birthday
Food and service were great. Sitting us down showed the preference management has for keeping people quiet. We did have a great time, even though we were inside and still freezing cold. I did make a request that was not fulfilled not sure who dropped the ball on that but overall the experience wasn’t ruined.
GREAT food, GREAT service, GREAT atmosphere...
I will definitely return and highly recommend to others!!!!!
From start to finish, everything was superb. Excellent service and amazing dining experience. The quality of food was amazing and the waitstaff was incredibly attentive
Food was amazing. Service was amazing. We got to sit inside and didnt have to sit outside with the heaters. Food was great! we will e back
Absolutely loved this restaurant. Service was amazing. Beyond friendly. Food is incredible. Such a great vibe. Can’t wait to go back.
The food was good , customer service was good. The only thing I didn’t like when you make reservations they should give you an option to dine in and out . As well the utensils, napkins and stuff we use to eat and drink with was on the sidewalk and it wasn’t cover. Anybody could walk by and touch it
Great experience
Food was amazing as usual
Brooklyn Chop House is mediocre at best. The food & drinks has the potential to be excellent, however there's something missing - I don't know if it's due to COVID, but it did not meet my boyfriend or my standards. Especially for the steep price. We will not be returning any time soon.
Delicious food, great service and ambiance. Perfect for a date, to celebrate any occasion or just an evening out with friends. I would definitely return!
Food was delicious. Just wish we were seated faster.
Amazing birthday dinner!! Loved my red velvet birthday cake!
Great experience food was amazing, everyone there was nice.
Great location, great ambience, food is plentiful. Was full after 2 appetizers. Deserts are amazing. The people, and the service are top notch. Best in class.
Valentine’s Day! Open table gave me the option for either Standard or Outside dining. Waiter tried to sit me and my Valentine outside- and I was not happy about that. I understand tops the circumstances- but if I chose Standard- seat me according. After voicing myself- I was seated inside. I was happy. I told my waiter that I have a Peanut Allergy. He was on point with my food! Although we waited 1 hour for our food- it was a great experience. We mingles and talked to our neighbors sitting next to us. The music was PERFECT, and after talking and stalling time- our food came out. It was delicious!
I was very surprised by the level of service. The food was 2 hours late (for a appetizer). When the entree came, the food was overcooked and not tasty. I was eager to eat there and ended up disappointed. For the price point, this is not acceptable.
They had a cold outdoor dining setup. Also it wasn’t a lot of space between tables. The Valentine’s menu was a set price and didn’t have certain items on the menu which basically made u order things that you didn’t want.
The wait for food was ridiculous although I understand how busy it was because it was Valentine’s Day 3 hours waiting for food that’s not right at all that is unacceptable. Most people got up and left.
Service was terrible, food was amazing though way over-priced
Too cold
Valentine day $145 prefix menu- too expensive
Food & service was great. Table was ready on top & the restaurant was not overly pack.
The experience was exceptional. Food was delicious. I went for Valentine’s Day. Them sour diesel drinks was really good
Great food, great service. Try the french onion soup dumplings, they were amazing.
So great. Server Tony was amazing... Great food, great everything. We will be back.
Valentines Date
I reserved a table for a pre- Valentine’s Day dinner for two. We were seated outside in the tent. I initially had no objections to the seating arrangement until the staff started adjusting the outerliner of the tent. The area became really cold despite having heaters inside. A hostess said there was nothing to be done about the issue. I would give the restaurant a solid 4out of 5. The food and drinks were very tasty. The hostess was nice. I didn’t understand why they began to tamper with the liners while guest were occupying the outdoor dining area.
The food was ok. The lobster fried rice was really good. The service was good, staff is very kind and attentive. It is very noisy in there and the “social distancing” is trash. For the price, not worth it. Drinks are super strong as well.
Cant complained it was better than I thought especially when I’m order was ready so fast
Food is Amazing, Service was great everyone was friendly & professional. Food again is fire ! The ambiance is also perfect the light hip hop music, made us feel very.... Brooklyn. Yet very upscale.
Service was great as usual the food was excellent. I felt safe with all of the safety precautions put in place. I would definitely recommend going.
It was freezing and I made reservations to sit indoor and I was told I had to sit outside
