   This was our first visit to Cafe Juanita… and we’ll definitely be back! The staff were friendly, yet attentive to every detail. The food was fantastic - in particular our A5 Wagyu Carpaccio, and the Halibut. We’ll done!

   Love this place. Everything is always wonderful. I wish they’d bring back the option to not have only the tasting menu. I always have to take home one of the courses because it's too much food. I’d go there more often if there was a non tasting menu option.

   The set menu we tried was the pescatarian tasting option. The halibut (main entree) was very well prepared. The Hamachi (yellow tail) course with sea urchin would have been better with no avocado and a little more sea urchin. Avocado flavor over powered the fish (if that is possible...) and there was not enough sea urchin to impart its texture. Some of the 'fried' items were unwelcome to my palette. I appreciate the effort to create a good menu day in and day out but, tonight, our menu was a C. The wine selection was excellent.

    Amazing food. Great service. Highly recommend the wine pairing option. All their dishes are very well balanced in terms of flavor and texture. Their seasonal asparagus dish which was total bomb. Best halibut I've had in my whole life. Excellent choice for celebrating special occasion. They surprised us with a birthday message which was super cute. Parking is valet only. $10. You can choose to pay up front or put it on the bill.

    Celebrated my birthday at my favorite local restaurant, Cafe Juanita. Everything was perfect from the hamachi crudo with Hokkaido uni, the wagyu A5 carpaccio with sous vide egg yolk to the whole baked branzino that they made special for me since they haven’t had it on the menu for years. They also accommodated my dietary restrictions by substituting the pasta and dessert dishes for me. From the service to the special birthday hugs, it was an amazing night.

    The food just wasn’t up to standard for the price. We’ve enjoyed fine dining around the world and we did not enjoy the food here. Random flavours that didn’t compliment each other. Over oiled. It just wasn’t up to scratch. Such a shame as the potential is there but we won’t be returning. The serving staff were very attentive and good however.

    There was a lot of hype built up for this dinner from friends and coworkes. We like to have date nights and try new places. The website says it is a formal attire etc, to dress up. So we did. We felt over dressed. There were people there in tshits etc. The food was hit and miss. Like any tasters menu. So great and some not so great. I just think for the amount of money we spent over $500 and didnt have wine with the meals we have been to other places that were much more satisfying. Staff was very friendly and we received great service I will say on the positive side.

    "I recently celebrated my anniversary at Cafe Juanita and while the service was exceptional, I must say that the food did not meet our expectations. Given the restaurant's reputation, I was disappointed with the quality of the dishes served, especially considering the high price point. Our bill came out to $550 and unfortunately, I did not feel that the food lived up to its price, especially the main course. However, the staff were attentive and friendly, and the ambiance of the restaurant was nice. I appreciate the effort put into making our evening special, but I hope that the kitchen can elevate their dishes to match the level of service provided. Thank you."

    My husband and I "shared" a bowl of risotto, 2 chilled asparagus spears (1 each) and a 5 oz. New York steak (2.5 ozs. each) with a tiny potato and a bit of garnish. My husband had a vodka martini and I had 2 glasses of Sauvignon Blanc. The risotto was tasty, the asparagus was the worst I've ever eaten, and the steak was average, yet our bill with tip was $330.     This is the first time We are giving cafe Juanita less than all 5 stars. The staff is so attentive that it’s hard not to. This is based upon the enjoyment of the actual menu. We’ve never come away in all the years less than wowed. The fixed menu wasn’t up to par. We will return in hopes that out next experience is elevated.

    Fabulous meal and fine dining experience without the stuffiness or stuckup attitude that can come with a lot of fine dining establishments. Its homey (literally, I think, a converted house!), welcoming, and the staff treat you like an old friend. Even better, its located in Kirkland, unassuming and tucked behind an apartment complex near Juanita beach. I enjoyed every meal and cant wait to go back again

    The food was outstanding and evoked all of my favorite curiosities. A day later, I find myself want craving the caviar and Lemmon yogurt twill. We felt well taken care of by the staff—the team effort and was a delight. We never had an empty wine, water, or cocktail. Our meal was a little earlier in the night which may have been the cause of the overly aggressive pacing which was corrected as we slowed down and the restaurant filled. I was delighted to watch the action in the kitchen, however the view in the opposite direction (on the restored river bank) lacked the privacy and intimacy expected with such an exquisite meal. There I not doubt that we will be back, however we will request to sit anywhere except across from the kitchen—which is typically my favorite seat.
