We have eaten at Captain James Landing several times and it has always been fantastic. If you enjoy seafood with some unique stylings, enjoy great drinks, and appreciate good service, this is the place for you.

This visit was my third, as like the first two; this visit was great if not better than the others. I would recommend to anyone.

This was our second time here and as expected, Captain James Landing did not disappoint! This time we came for brunch, which was surprisingly reasonable, which is always a plus, without skimping on quantity or quality! Also kudus to our waitress, Nichole and the chef who were very accommodating to my substitutions to my selected menu item. The food was great, especially my French toast! All in it was a wonderful and enjoyable brunch with the hubby!

Food was just okay but our server was nice. The reservation was definitely a must, so many other people left or were turned away due to the wait/reservations.

Well, we were racially attacked.

We made reservations because ya know it’s common sense especially during a pandemic.
This group of 4 came and did not have reservations... and we were sat before them at a table for 2. They flipped out saying it’s because of our color that we are being seated before them. The host heard this and admitted he heard this and didn’t do anything about it not even tell his manager and sat them next to us when their table was ready. No support or respect at this place. Food was ok. Drinks were good... atmosphere sucked

Not the best food for the cost but it's workable. The chicken stuffed with imperial didn't taste like any imperial I've had before plus it had a thick layer of provolone cheese on top. The escargot was wonderful tho. The 18% gratuity was added to the bill, it would have been nice to know that beforehand but the waitress was good.

New to the area, and wanted some quality seafood. Captain Jame's did the trick! Grilled Oysters were fresh and yummy, and the Baked Stuffed Shrimp with Imperial Crab was delicious.

I Lo e Captain James but they need to fix there website, I saw 3 different times for opening hours and the apt. app let me make a.10:15 am apt. yet they didn't open till 10:30

Well worth the money.
I and my wife go there almost every week.

We enjoyed ourselves a little crowded, food and staff was nice and good. We will be back soon.

I had a groupon for 100 worth of food for $57 and I would have gladly paid full price with no complaints! The food was amazing, the price was great, the portions were just perfect! I would have given it a 5 star has it not been for the service. I understand servers are human so I sdidnt complain while being there but it was a lil upsetting. We weren't approached until 15 mins after sitting, we received our drinks same time as our food only after we had to remind her, basically anything we wanted outside of our meal had to be asked for twice and waited on for more than a few mins... gratuity is added on the bill automatically and we felt that that was the reason behind the lack of service. The other waitress that was there seemed to be very attentive to her tables so it wasnt an all around issue , just specific to our waitress, so pls dont let that discourage you from going, the doors moee than made up for the lack in service... a must go for seafood lovers!!

Food was salty. Let sever know but nothing was done about it. Smaller portions . Wasn't worth the time driving from Pa. to Baltimore. They have a new cook. Not a good cook...

Ribs were great! Stuffed shrimp was great. Waitress Packed our leftover food but only put my ribs in the container not my mashed potatoes or vegetables. Do not like idea of gratuity of 18% being added to bill with only two people even if total is 75 or over.Does not give waitresses or waiters the incentive to do outstanding job only good job. All in all it was a very nice evening at Captain James.

Great Job, been over a year. New chief did amazing on our breakfast!!!! Will return next month. It's our monthly place to eat.

The crab cakes are absolutely delicious and a must try. Excellent food that is more than reasonably priced. 10/10 would recommend.

I ordered the steak and lobster tail the food was good expect my steak had a piece of long black hair inside of it. They replaced that steak with a new one but did not give me back my lobster tail. Did not offer any type of bill compensation or anything.

Great neighborhood spot. They have all the classics for breakfast and still manage to put a fresh take on them.

Good food good service waiter could be more attentive

Food and service as always was good, however there was a table of 6 next to us, they did practice social distancing or mask wearing. The staff did remind them. It was very uncomfortable, we finally asked to be moved.

Excellent food. Parking lot across street. cool boat layout. They are open during covid and have seats spaced out accordingly. Have only bottled beer, none on tap. good wine and spirits list.

Great food! Love the Seafood platter! The ribs were tasty!

Our waitress was great. The escargots were delicious (just wanted some more bread to soak up the goodness!). Stuffed fish and seafood fettuccine were both delicious and cooked perfectly. The strawberry cheesecake dessert was homemade the week we went. Best I’ve had - we wanted to take a whole one home! Everything was great, and we will be back to dine in when the restrictions are lifted!

great food, great experience, but it all comes with a pretty hefty price tag

During Covid you are able to reserve a table but if you arrive early there might be open tables. Service is great and friendly staff. Evening meals have a gratuity of 18 percent included in the bill but all other meals are by the customer decision. All in all a great seafood place to try and there are menus for the day so call and ask or they will let you know when you are ordering.

My boyfriend and I went for his birthday and everything was amazing!

Seafood stew is a big winner.
Monday night crab cakes for $18.95 is a bargain.

What a cute restaurant! The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and the cocktails were so tasty! The best was the ambiance, the outside and the inside were so nautically cute!

Restaurants are supposed to be social distancing. We were seated at a booth right next to another couple. When I asked the host about SD she said the couple would be leaving shortly and that no one would be seated next to us. Well, the couple did leave in about five minutes. Staff cleaned the table - and then seated another couple there! There was nothing separating the booths! I know businesses have been hard hit due to the pandemic, but the safety and security of all guests should have been top priority and not trying to make a buck! Capt. James was one of our favorite restaurants but, due to their lack of practicing safety measures, we won't return....

Overall it’s a very nice place to eat,very clean,service very good... the location is good next to the water
