   Waitress on her own pretty much and running around trying to cope. Not her fault as her service was excellent but had little chance to keep up with floor demand. Portion of Carbonara half the size of the other spaghetti dish served to a nearby table. I had the half price main course voucher so maybe I got half a portion? Lol. This is I assume peak time as most people's evenng meal is around 6.0. Staffing inadequate. Other than that it was a nice meal.

   Disgraceful!!! We walked out Managee very rude!!! No basic alcoholic spirits food portions tiny no flavour dollops on a plate Will deffo not be experiencing any carluccio restaurants again Was a meal for valentines n our night was ruined!!!!!@

   Well valentines night once we sat down given the menu to be told half of it wasn’t available then ordering drinks told no gin vodka or Malibu then the main course chicken Milanese that was basically all that was available was so over cooked and dry u couldn’t eat it plus trying to find the place was bad enough as directions put you under a bridge at Piccadilly train station when it’s actually inside the station all in all it’s a disgrace for a restaurant on valentines night

   Pate as a starter was runny and didn’t taste very nice, as it had been under the warmer possibly too long as the top slice of toast was burnt. The ragu main, we asked for no olives, it came with olives all through it. The medium sirloin steak was well done and tough to cut. Definitely not medium as ordered. The side of fries we ordered never arrived. No waiting team came to ask if everything was ok, to say any issues until I had to call someone over and say. No draft beers available.

   I have been trying to make an official complaint. I made a booking for Carluccios Manchester Piccadilly station for three people at 6.30pm on Friday 3 Feb. I had my booking confirmed both in text and email. When we got there the place was closed. This is totally unacceptable. Please can this be passed on. In recent months we have turned up twice on a Friday night and been told that they were closing early because of shortage of chefs. This is why I booked this time.

    Very disappointed with the food the steak was lovely But the rest no the plate presentation poor when the waiter moved the last off the plates we still had drinks and just brought the bill to the table I didn't ask for the bill . The toilets in the restaurant were awful one out of order the other one nothing to wash hands with the hand wash was empty and the top of it and couldn't dry hands look forward to your reply

    The booking was a complete washout. We arrived in good time and were told that they were closing because of staff shortage. We told them that we had a booking. They were sorry but could do nothing; they seemed not to be aware of the booking. We appreciate that sometimes restaurants close early because of unplanned problems. But this was planned. What annoys us is that our booking was accepted and we were not told of the closure beforehand. Why did you take our phone number if not for this kind of thing? We hold both Carluccio's and Open Table responsible for this. We now consider Carluccio's to be unreliable. We used a different restaurant and will go there again. It is a pity, because Carluccio's used to be so good.

    The service was fine but the food was poor and lacking taste, particularly seasoning. I had penne giardinierra which was essentially raw, soggy courgette. My friend had veganesca spaghetti which was bland and without taste. We were very disappointed and were not asked about our food quality.

    We waited a very long time for our food in a cold restaurant, and when the food arrived, some of it was overcooked not to say burned. We thought of sending it back but by then were so hungry we ate about 3/4 of it. We tried to buy something in the shop and two assistants were unable to find it on the till and so in the end we left without it because we had a train to catch. Not as good as our last visit by a long way.

    The last two times we have visited, we have have had to wait over 45 minutes for food. First time because there was only one chef (and, to be fair, we were warned about this and restricted choices on arrival). Last Saturday, it was because 'unexpected numbers arrived'. But it was a) a match day at Etihad Stadium (most of people there were, like us City Fans) and b) the weekend after a rail strike. Both of these events could have been planned for. We used to love coming to Carluccios before matches, lovely staff, good staff and good service. Now we are seriously considering making other arrangements. And you STILL haven't sorted out the plumbing. Gents loos have been out of action for weeks now. Can't recommend you now, I'm afraid.

    I eat here regularly for brunch and have done for a number of years, with a group of friends. Our experience yesterday was not great at all. Although , the restaurant was not busy , we waited quite a while after arriving to order hot drinks. These were served sporadically and we had to ask how long the missing drinks were going to take. We then had to ask to order food. My porridge was cold when it arrived as I noted it had been waiting for a server to collect it for some time. We needed to alert a server each time we needed our table to be cleared of used crockery or order more drinks. Helpful, smiling staff who made us feel welcome were in very short supply. All in all, the experience was hard work.

    Food good, though portion sizes appeared smaller than at the Cheshire Oaks location. Only had one chef on, so our party of seven, with 1 course each (though two had two starters) had two meals come out nearly 15 minutes after everyone else's, so clearly couldn't manage large groups at once. Shame really, as everything else was good.

    Requested booth, didn’t get one despite having two elderly people with us and the restaurant not being busy. Extremely limited menu, FIVE DISHES of which 3 were salads. Not really salad weather!! And also we asked for a bottle of Prosecco only to be told there was none in the fridge and that it get would put a bottle on some ice and put in the fridge for around 10mins. Extremely disappointing and we left to go elsewhere. Such a good place to eat when they get it right but when they get it wrong they REALLY get it wrong!!

    Despite booking and turning up 30 mins early we were told to wait to see if there was a table and then put by the toilets when the restaurant was only a quarter full. Service was slow and menu options very limited on a Saturday afternoon.

    The service was attentive and friendly; good choice of menu - we opted for the set three-course meal at a fixed price. The Veganesca Spaghetti main course was very tasty, and the panna cotta to finish was very successful. Good coffee too, all at a reasonable price.

    We had a 50th birthday celebration for my son. Our party comprised two grandparents, two parents and two teenagers. We all enjoyed it and the staff looked after us very well.

    We had a really helpful waitress who accommodated all our requests with a smile. Our food, however, could have been hotter. Those of us having porridge, did not get our honey ! We did enjoy our visit though and will return.

    Bit disappointed with the service. Asked for water didn’t arrive, the server who I can only assume was the manager passed our food over the back of the table from the pass, I had to ask for parmigiana for the pasta and there was no check back to ask if everything was okay with the food.

    Unfortunately our experience was not good. We ordered a ravioli dish which was very nice but the tuna salad did not deliver. Two of the elements were completely missing which were the new potatoes and the roast tomatoes. When this was pointed out to the waitress, she went in to the kitchen and appeared with a side plate of cold boiled potatoes some of which had started to turn black and a few halved cherry tomatoes. This was not acceptable and when we complained nothing was done about serving stale potatoes. The waitress said she would give us a discounted bill but what we actually got was 20% off our next trip. Obviously, we will certainly not be returning.

    This was a great little place to have a spot of lunch after our train journey. The restaurant space is well thought out and as it is situated upstairs, you soon forget that you're dining in a train station. The food and staff were very pleasant, keen to help but not overly fussy either. Nice little place, we would definitely eat there again.
