Fantastic food as usual. Avoid being seated in the corner as you are out of view of the staff so its hard to get service. Noise from bar next door is loud but unavoidable. Proof of how good the restaurant is, is shown by the queue outside as you are unable to book a table unless its for 6 or more people.

We were taken early without any problems. Table for 7. The food was very good. Home made lasagna was delicious. The service was adequate. Had to ask twice for a wine glass. Don't like the gratuity added on to the bill. Feel pressure to give a larger than normal tip, however a grand experience overall.

We were a table of 12 and all enjoyed the trip to this restaurant, food was good as was the service. Only down side was when presented with the bill the manager had crossed out the amount due and added £30 (wrote optional tip) and then wrote in a new total. We are more than capable of deciding if we wish to tip or not, and if so precisely how much, although optional was written next to the £30 it was quite clear this was the amount expected. We have visited the Casa many times over the years and always enjoyed it, just a shame it was spoilt a bit at the end.

I’ve been coming casa italia for 20 years since I was a child and took some of my work colleagues who haven’t been before. quite disappointing was the overall response and my food itself wasn’t as good as it has been in the past!

I booked a table for 8 persons and specifically requested a table downstairs as my wife is on crutches. This was confirmed on the day by phone call and email. 6 of my party were experiencing the Casa for the first time and I really wanted them to enjoy the genuine trattoria feel of the restaurant. However, on the night we were told you could not accommodate us downstairs and were put on the top floor. My wife struggled with this. Although you made the nice gesture of providing the first round of drinks for free, my wife and I were ultimately disappointed as the atmosphere upstairs is usually hen parties - and was! We have been coming to The Casa for over 40 years. We even got engaged in your restaurant. We will always come here, but this time, we felt let down. Colin and Linda Ainsworth

It’s been 18 years since my late visit and I wasn’t disappointed. We were a party of 7 for my young daughter's birthday. Food was delicious, service was exceptional. We won’t be leaving it 18 years for our next visit.
