    Restaurant was closed for holiday very poor organisation to accept booking ruined my evening

    Looked a reasonable bet at short notice on a Saturday evening. Booked and confirmed, turned up, lights out, no staff, no customers, door locked no notice. Not a good experience. Luckily found a restaurant that would take us down the road and that was good.

    I booked late for a mother's day lunch and was lucky enough to find this delightful Italian had tables free. It had just been refurbished and was therefore not on many people's list of possibilities. We had outstanding service from the delightful staff and when they saw that I had not eaten my steak (which was huge but too tough for me) they immediately offered me an alternative which I did not want. They did not charge for my meal so they got payment by way of a decent tip.
