With its signature open kitchen, set against breathtaking views of Downtown LA & the Hollywood Hills, the 340 seat rooftop haven invites the outside in as it blends great seafood with sushi, Asian influences & a streaming, shareable style of service.
With a focus on the food, CATCH LA keeps it fresh, incorporating local and sustainable ingredients wherever possible as it cultivates a menu mix of CATCH classics like Truffle Sashimi, Wagyu on a Rock and Cantonese Lobster, along with inspired renditions of Vegan and Gluten Free options.
Loved the crispy rice and Brussels sprouts, the truffle nigiri is a MUST!
Very loud ,very expensive , small portions but rooftop pretty and trendy
We celebrated our daughter’s birthday with Sunday brunch and had a great time.
There were a few surprises though, when the bill came. One dish had a hair in it, and we were still charged. Truffle fries arrived at the table that we didn’t order (and charged for). I ordered one dessert for the table and we were served (and charged) for two. 😳
Otherwise, it was wonderful!
I loved the ambiance such a cozy restaurant. However, although we made a reservation, we waited almost 1.30 min standing. I don’t recommend you to go to the dinner on the weekends.
Totally overrated! With a reservation it seemed everyone waited an hour and a half. More importantly
the food was average at best and the food came out almost immediately. I waited longer than enjoying my dinner. Totally done with this place
The ambiance and food at Catch were great, but the TWO HOUR wait time WITH A RESERVATION soured my experience. The hostesses kept telling us “just a few more minutes”, until we had waited two full hours after our 9:15 PM dinner reservation. We spoke to a few people waiting in the bar area with us. According to them, waiting one to two hours after your dinner reservation time is very common at Catch. They need to rethink their scheduling system.
2 hour wait for mediocre food and blah service.
It was my birthday. They made us wait an hour and a half for the table. It ruined my day and everyone’s mood. The manager and hostess were so rude.
Be prepared to wait and wait and wait before you are seated. They sat us an hour and half pass our reservation time of 8:15 pm, and then offered us a table by the kitchen or to wait even longer. Simply unacceptable treatment and thus my one star rating for this experience.
Great food and awesome design and atmosphere. A little expensive, but worth the experience.
Most Amazing food, experience, place I’ve ever been to. Defiantly worth the experience
Everything was good.
This was my first time , i was super excited . Our waitress wasn’t the friendliest , and we had to keep reminding her that we hadn’t been helped and we needed the cocktail menu . The food was amazing , but the service was not the best . A party of six had got seated after us , and was helped quicker than we did . Our table of 3 had been ignored for at least 20 min without a hello . We had to ask for help . I expected the service to be a lot better .
Really enjoyed the food, service and beautiful atmosphere of Catch LA. We did not enjoy being so close to the neighboring tables. The tables were way too close and we were basically shoulder to shoulder with the people at the tables next to us. It made it very difficult to have our own conversation. Also, when I booked our reservation I said it was for a birthday. I also called the night before to confirm our reservation was for a birthday. Never during our dining was a birthday mentioned by our server or acknowledged.
Delicious food and great ambiance. Service is delightful and drinks are good as well. Would highly recommend!
Excellent no matter what you order! 5⭐️’s
It was awful
Always an amazing experience—great food, drinks and beautiful atmosphere!!
I had a reservation for 2 at 7pm and was not seated until 7:35
Catch LA is everything yo would want from a high end restaurant, especially in LA. It's got the vibe, the views, great cocktails, service and delicious food. It's great for people watching. It's pricy but we all knew that. Stick with the A5, don't let them talk you into the "higher" grade beef. If your from out of town, it's worth going.
I made a reservation a month in advance for 8:45pm on a Thursday showed up 20 minutes earlier just in case. We were waiting to be seated for 45 minutes and still have not been seated so by this time it had already been 45 minutes past 8:45. Asked to speak to the manager she was no help at all. Ended up leaving from there and went to eat somewhere else. Later got a text at 10:15pm from Catch saying our table was ready. Very unprofessional and disgusted how things were handled that night. My advice for making a reservation with them is to maybe call 30 minutes prior to your reservation to see if they are going to even seat you at the time you chose and to also have a backup restaurant in case my experience happens to you.
I was a bit frustrated because I pre called and sent in a cc auth form to have a bottle of champagne on ice with my personalized note card waiting on table for date night as a surprise and we were sat at a table without it. I then had to secretly get up from the table and ask my waiter if he was going to bring it over and he had no idea what I was talking about. He then talked to a manager and they found my email communication that arranged it all and then apologized but at that point I told him to forget it because the whole surprised was ruined. We still had a good time and they sent out a few comp items but the purpose of the surprise was completely ruined and Catch REALLY dropped the ball on this. Very unfortunate because I love dining here.
Way overpriced. Mediocre sushi rolls that you can get anywhere else for half the price and half the wait. Everything was decent and normally I wouldn’t have any complaints but literally EVERYTHING on the menu cost two times as much as it should have and the ambiance of the place did not validate it.
Amazing food. Very expensive, but I knew that going in. I LOVED everything we ate. I was super impressed by the food. Wish they were bigger portions for the price, but again, I knew that going in.
The hostesses and bussers were wonderful. The server was up her own butt, but we laughed it off because we knew this place had a reputation, but honestly, I was glad to see how nice everyone was, which contradicted some reviews I read. The ambiance was lovely, and I will definitely come back when I can spent that much again.
I dislike the fact you have a reservation and you still end up waiting 25mins to sit down. Service at the table is good. I was expecting the food to be better but it was ok. In my opinion just your typical LA trendy restaurant.
Very noisy but the food is great. There was a birthday party next by our table. For this price level, I was expecting a much nicer dining environment with my boyfriend. We ordered dishes that the waitress suggested. Not bad.
We went to celebrate a birthday. Catch is absolutely incredible! When enter through the elevator, the door opens and you are greeted into a magical hall full of beautiful flowers and sparkly lights. Everyone was so nice and the food was delicious. Can’t wait to go back here again!
I’ve only sat outside every time and I like it a lot. Great bar, nice servers, good food, always feels a bit touristy but I still come back. The female servers wardrobe is really awful tho!! Not stylish or flattering.
Truly a memorable meal. The creations and flavors were exceptional. Loved the whole experience
As always catch seems to amaze me with its service and they way they make you a priority at dinner. Absolutely love this place and enjoy it to the full.
Terrible service. Server did not give us the time of day and looked down upon us
Catch LA is a popular place to be, people/celeb watching is great! Food not very good at all, very salty and not very tasty. The food for the price should be delicious and make you want to come back but for me it was a one timer. Better just to sit at the bar for a drink and go somewhere else for dinner unless you love salt and odd textured food.
The place is amazing but my reservation was at 9:30 I was on time and they make me wait 45 min more.
Fantastic evening. 5 stars is not enough for the efficient service and welling attitude of the entire wait staff. Ambiance is lively and inviting. Food delicious and fine tuned. Get your reservation in early and enjoy!
Michael was great and very thoughtful to us providing us an outstanding first time experience.
I had a great time. Excellent food and the place is amazing
Definitely worth the price and perfect for a nice occasion.
Food is solid but I can get similar/better quality and quantity elsewhere for quite a bit less, so you’re really paying for the atmosphere. I’d come back, especially for a special occasion.
Loved the family style dishes. All of the food we got was amazing. Highly recommend the king crab hand rolls. The Carnival was one of the best/most creative deserts I’ve ever had!!
Very beautiful restaurant, very elegant decor, but the food was not as good as expected. Very small portions and the flavor was just flat and basic.
