    Enjoy a delicious three course meal served within the comfortable ambiance of the Cavendish restaurant in the historic Stables courtyard at Chatsworth, created using the finest ingredients sourced from our award winning suppliers and the Chatsworth Estate. Freshly baked bread and flavoured butters served on arrival, then a choice of starters, mains and desserts from a passionately created menu, followed by a barista made coffee or pot of tea, with a petit fours to finish off. All for just £42.50 per person. A two course option is available for £35.

A light savoury starter is followed by a selection of carefully thought out finger sandwiches. A refreshing interlude follows in the form of a sorbet, before our delectable cakes complete the experience served on a beautiful Wedgwood tea stand. Enjoy as many teas as you can manage from our bespoke range supplied by Northern Tea Merchants of Chesterfield, a cafetiere or barista made coffee. A truly memorable experience.

    A wonderful Chatsworth Experience afternoon tea to celebrate my 50th Birthday with friends. Excellent service from all the team, beautiful cakes and scones. The only improvement that could have been made was to take the clotted cream out of the fridge earlier, as it was too cold to spread.

    We booked afternoon tea for my mom for Mother’s Day and it was fantastic. The staff were so helpful and couldn’t do enough. One of our party had an allergy and couldn’t have one of the courses, however they made something else moments before, to suit so they didn’t miss out. Our server, I think her name was Jean, was fantastic! So friendly, helpful and did a great job pairing our teas to the dishes.

    We came for my mums birthday which just happened to be on Mother’s Day this year. Our server was Dorota and she was wonderful from the moment we arrived until we left. Her attention to detail was meticulous and she really knows her stuff when it comes to the menu and recommending accompaniments. The afternoon tea was absolutely beautiful too with a very generous selection.

    I have had afternoon tea at Chatsworth on several occasions but I felt that this experience was not of the same high standard compared with my previous visits. The vegetarian afternoon tea selection was very disappointing as it was apparent that all of our sandwiches were from the vegan menu which felt cost saving for the restaurant as we are not vegans but vegetarians. One of the china cups was tea stained which was unusual for the level of cleanliness that I have encountered on previous visits. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was special but I do feel that the food was disappointing for the cost.

    The Chatsworth Afternoon Tea was an exquisite experience. We loved the setting, and new decor, menu, crockery and cutlery. The service was outstanding and the food, just gorgeous. My husband and I booked a few months ago for us to take my parents as a Christmas gift. As regular visitors, we have visited Chatsworth many many times, and have had afternoon tea on several occasions before. So when we received the bill, we were quietly shocked to find that it was approximately double the price of what we had paid before. We didn’t expect to pay £230 for four afternoon teas and four glasses of sparkling white wine. Given that we didn’t want to spoil the occasion, we just paid and left. There was no price for the afternoon tea on the menu, which I didn’t understand as there are prices on the other menus. I have since checked the website, and the new price is now on there. I think that it changed after we had booked. On reflection, whilst it was a beautiful experience I do feel that £49.50 is too high for afternoon tea, with an extra £7.50/£20 for a glass of wine/champagne. It is comparable to an evening meal taster menu. I hope that you find our feedback helpful. Thank you. Cathy

    Amazing Staff on a quite sunday after a heavy snowfall 2 days earlier. Staff went out of their way to accommodate 2 x Adults and 2 x Children. Amazing staff, great atmosphere and above all - 100% TOTAL Customer Service. Wouldn't hesitate to go back at all.

    Always lovely but the hike in price since last year is becoming unaffordable and putting us off coming again . We don’t see any difference in food / service to warrant the increase. Only cost of living of course but that affects us as customers too .

    Four Ladies meting up for afternoon Tea at Chatsworth House. We had a lovely afternoon with plenty to eat & drink. The courses were well presented with a pot of tea to compliment each course served in beautiful teapots and cups & saucers. Starter was a mini pumpkin soup served with a scone then plenty of sandwiches with lots of flavours followed by a palate cleanser a lovely refreshing sorbet. Finally the piece de resistance the beautiful rich cakes and scones with jam & cream. We were full and had to take the last of the cakes home with us. A wonderful afternoon for the 4 of us which was in a relaxing environment. We were not rushed and our server (English/ Aussie) had lots of knowledge on the teas which made blended well with the courses. Thank you :-)

    I took my partner for a birthday treat, and we had a wonderful time. All staff polite and helpful and explained the menu. The food was amazing so much to taste to the point we were defeated and took cake home. Plenty of drinks to choose from and as much as you want to try. We were not rushed and the staff made our visit memorable. We can’t wait to visit again.
