I’ve been to several 3 Michelin star restaurants and this was the worst. (Well they don’t technically still have their 3 stars due to being closed during the renewal, but I still expected that level of service) Upon arrival they were late to get us seated. Once seated it took a while for them to start our service. We let them know ahead of time that we were there to celebrate my and my fiances recent engagement. They didn’t do anything special to recognize the occasion. The food was no where near the level it should be. And it’s more expensive than Per Se. I’d recommend Per Se over Brooklyn Fare to everyone. Our meal was the 8:30 seating and we were there past midnight. Once we finished we sat a long time waiting for a check. Overall super disappointing.

Shaq and Kobe. Jordan and Pippen. Chef Max and Chef Marco. Except they’re both Jordan. They are otherworldly. Their passion and love comes through with delicate precision and showmanship. Watching them work their magic filled me with excitement for each bite. They are very warm and welcoming. The service was 10/10. Chef Max and Chef Marco’s attention to detail was perfectly complimented by the service. They sat me front and center at the counter and made sure I was comfortable. They checked in regularly to make sure I was enjoying my evening. I cannot wait to come back and experience how the menu will transform over time. Thank you so much for having me.

Didn’t care about the crab bites or the wagu dish Everything else was very good. The white truffle ice cream was phenomenal-memorable. But everybody else was just good. Nothing to rave about. Need more innovation for this kinda pricing

I had the best experience! The foods were really delicious. The service from the Staffs were great! The presentation of each menu was superb! Overall, it was amazing and unique experience! The restaurant is inside the Grocery store and the entrance is in same grocery store. That's super cool! 😍👍

Had a wonderful time here for my husbands birthday! Fun entrance through the grocery store. Nice ambiance and welcoming service, and the food was so delicious throughout. Crab tartlet and uni waffle were some favorites

Roughly 12 courses, amuse a good consume, the bucket and crab is OK reminds me of the side you get with a katsu, or a crab yaki soba, the beef tartare can't go wrong with A5, soy sauce and nori. The uni with the waffle too sweet might be due to the truffle being in season, smoked sturgeon and potato chawanmushi style with caviar was OK pretty standard on a few 2 stars, Langostine with the pandan foam is a miss when you cook pandan it has a strong cardamom flavor over powers the sweet langostine, A4 beef seared was standard, the squab excellent. Desert the soba cake was the standout and of course the sorbet palate cleanser very nice. Service was good small mistakes like giving me the wrong drink or water is fine for me not to get your star's back as being consistent is key not consistently incorrect, also loved the 2 hostess I am glad they entertained me and my questions and had good conversation I was on seat C9 or so my check states. I WILL BE BACK just maybe after the menu changes

We had the 10 or 11 course menu and it was first class all the way with amazing innovative dishes that were a pleasure on the palette, even things I normally don’t like were prepared to perfection with the accompaniments . It’s a Michelin 3 star well deserving and expensive but totally worth it

Very cool to sit at the counter and watch the chefs prepare the food. Our reservation time was 8:45 and we did not get any food for at least 25-30 minutes. The food was good. Even very good. But not blow your mind, where you think it is worth every penny. We also did the wine pairing which is 320 per person. The pairings were nice but we thought they could have selected more impressive wines for that money. For example they poured a second press of a French. Overall I’m not mad I did it but for the money I don’t need to do it again.

The price of this meal requires it to be exceptional, and it's simply not. The plates are small and vary in their quality. It's paced poorly often waiting 10-15 minutes between the 14 dishes. The ambiance is off with 90's pop playing in the background. They offer "upgrades" to the meal at over $400/per person - this left us with a feeling of wanting as we watched others enjoy.

Let’s be honest, we are human, not super model, we have normal size stomach and we need to be fed at least regardless of the flavor of the food. One small slice of quail and A5 Wagyu won’t feed anyone. I don’t care how precious the ingredients are, I don’t care how hard you work on (which you suppose to), the goal is to feed customer and at least make them feel fulfilled. I appreciate the manager come and talk to us, and I appreciate how hard those two chefs working on. But you have to understand that, you have to surpass the expectation we had before, at least. It’s hard, I understand, but that’s the responsibility you chose to take. I really wish that, you could be successful, and get 3 starts back again. But so far, you need more than what you have now.

The experience was remarkable considering it was only 3 months ago the restaurant closed unexpectedly. The sommelier recommended a bottle of white wine that went extremely well with the meal and a dessert sake with desserts. The service was attentive and on point. I would recommend the chefs focus on flavor progression because the dish with thai flavor was well done but out of sequence. I have confidence that the restaurant will be able to achieve its new height and I look forward to the next meal there.

I was a little surprised at how poor the service was. For a Michelin three-star restaurant, I expected to feel the magic and warm hospitable service. Instead, there was a lot of upselling and differential treatment based on whether you chose to upgrade or not. In short, it felt cold and not welcoming. As for the food, I was truly impressed with a lot of the dishes. Very interesting flavors and beautiful plating. Overall, I was not blown away, especially at that price level. I would not recommend it.

Solid start but soft finish, the last four dishes left more to be desired (celebratory Japanese fish respect the significance but the dish was flat, waygu was average and desserts were lackluster).. service was attentive and kind.. overall good experience, but would have appreciated consistent dish quality for the price.

Nice restaurant with nice service. Food was very good but we definitely left a little hungry.. the waygu tartare bite and salmon dish were the standouts for sure. Finishing off a tasting menu with…. squab? An interesting choice for sure! To be completely honest you’re almost definitely better off going to per se or le Bernardin for the cost and overall experience though. $40 for the cheapest glass of wine you have and making people pay $15 for a bottle of water really makes you feel like every price has been maxed out with no alternative options other than spending $150 at the bare minimum on beverages. Obviously you know what you’re getting yourself into when booking here but there are many other restaurants with much higher value. If you have $1,500 burning a hole in your pocket then this is a place you can spend that money! Best of luck

I was very frustrated that even though I let the restaurant know that we are there for a birthday they did not bring the desert with a candle. When you pay almost $800 for a meal for 2 people, you want the service to be amazing but this was not the case

Very good overall but a few disappointments like the white truffles that might be too early in the season and did not have the taste and smell I am used to or the fact that the two chefs did not come to present themselves to the guests.

Excessively expensive for a mediocre meal. Staff was excellent. The meal fell flat. the first 3 starters consisting of salmon caviar, wagyu, uni and broth were great. Afterwards, it fell flat. The flavors bland and typical with the realization that I'm still fairly hungry but we were nearing the end. The 3 dessert courses fell flat. Basic sorbet, white bland cookie water with sorbet and mush underneath which tasted like styrofoam. Dinner is passable, however the desserts need a total revamp immediately. The food can be replicated in a non stuffy manner at Luthun at half the price. I was expecting more from this place given the hype and price but it failed miserably.
