This was our anniversary dinner and we were very disappointed. I expect excellence and received mediocrity at best. The food was bland except for the salad which was good. My wife wanted broiled scallops but they did not offer them broiled. She settled for grilled and they were not good. I had the blackened mahi mahi and it was flavorless.

Our food was completely amazing! We both had the small filet with a crab cake and our dishes were just excellent! No breadcrumbs in those crab cakes bc they were allllll crabmeat, perfection!!! We love the food here so much we drove up from Chattanooga to eat here and drove back after, a trip well worth the time!

Love dining at Chesapeake’s and enjoy the brunch option on Sundays. Our server, Harrison, was polite and knowledgeable in the menu and all Chesapeake’s has to offer. Harrison made sure everyone in our party was able to order and enjoy something from the great menu. Personally, I enjoyed a variety of raw oysters and a delicious piece of grilled mahi mahi. Can’t wait to dine with you all again.

Came here from AL to see our daughter and a Vols game. Critique-Crab bisque was a little too salty but still good. Grilled shrimp skewer didn’t have much flavor. Everything else we had was really good and the waitress was very attentive. Would love to come back for dinner sometime. Give it a try!

There were 4 of us and we all enjoyed our dinners. Our server, Johnny, was excellent. The only downside, which was rectified, was where they initially seated us. They took us to a small, separate area that had a TV where people were watching the football game. It was noisy like a mini sports bar. We should have asked them for another table before sitting down. A server came to take our drink orders which 2 of us gave him. He took off and ignored the other couple. We decided that we would ask to be moved because of the noise. They moved us to another table in the large dining area. Johnny was our server.

Everything was wonderful except the background music and noise from the bar. The music was not conducive to a relaxing meal! We were seated next to the bar area and it was quite loud. Usually not a problem at Chesapeake’s.

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Traveling 7 hours to rest over night to complete a 2 day journey. Looked up Seafood in Knoxville and found Chesapeake’s highly recommended. Chose this above another Steak and Seafood spot. We were not disappointed. My husband and I shared the tuna appetizer and a cup of the most delicious New England Clam Chowder. It rivals my own, and as a New England girl who worked in restaurant a decade and a half this soul was excellent. I had the lobster steak and filet. The filet was the best that I have had in a very long time. Flavor and cooked to my preference. Like butter. The lobster tail was cooked properly and a good size. The smoked Benton Bacon Cheddar Cheese Grits were creamy and delicious. Stone ground and done perfectly. My husband had the Fried Fish platter. Too much food for a six foot four 260 pound guy who always finishes his meals. That said he had the bread pudding claiming it to be some of the best he’s ever had. He’s had a lot. We will return to this spot again ! Katherine our waitress was outstanding. Knowledgeable and charming. Great service.

Chesapeake's is one of our favorite places in Knoxville! We go there for special occasions. It is a great restaurant, really good food and most of the time it is quiet and you can talk to each other. This is a five star in my book!!

A particularly outstanding dinner at this always reliable Knoxville staple. Oysters were cold and flavorful, salmon and swordfish particularly well prepared, presented, sides were excellent. Of course, the seafood gumbo, a specialty, was a highlight as it usually is. (Wish they had this every day!) Our server was exceptional. We will continue to return on a regular basis.

While visiting Knoxville, we decided to try Chesapeake's for Sunday Brunch. It was amazing! All our dishes were great including the crab cake Benedict and the steamed platter. If I have any complaint, it would be with our crab claw appetizer. The quantity and size of the claws was not a great value. Flavor was good, it was just a tiny portion compared to other places I have had them.

My lunch was great ! I ordered my regular - crab cakes and spinach Maria ! My husband got the smoked trout and there was hardly any of it . Our friend ordered the Oyster Rockefeller and she was happy . We ran of water and ice several times . It was our anniversary and it wasn’t acknowledged . I requested the cheesecake , thinking of plain cheesecake and wasn’t told that it was Kalaha cheesecake . Which I didn’t like. And I thought anniversary dessert was on the house but no . This was not a great experience!

I enjoy Chesapeakes at lunch and dinner and entertain guests there frequently. Last night was typical of a very good experience, with one exception. In our party of 6, I found out after dinner that my co-host who had ordered blackened scallops reported they were not served hot, but she did not say anything to our server since she didn't want the rest of the party to wait while her entree was being redone. Not really the restaurant's "fault", but they should have done a better job of making sure hot food leaves the kitchen hot. Seems like it was a one-off...we'll be back.
