   Maybe went at a bad time even though it was our first time but there was a party and just seems service suffered because of it. Our waiter while super polite seemed overwhelmed, my order got delayed then when I finally got it the food was horrible, I’ve never had bad Mexican so this was a unfortunate first and it was cold. My kids who are not picky eaters couldn’t even take but a few bites, I still paid for it to be respectful but most likely will not return. I do have to note the manager did discount my bill due to the food delay but overall experience was not good.

   Went for a birthday didn’t sing. Forgot hat had to ask for it. Brought desert forgot birthday sundae had to wait to make and bring back while others ate there’s. Waitress didn’t care about anything had to wait for refill on drinks restaurant wasn’t busy didn’t understand bad attitude. Worst service experience ever first time there. Food was good but when service is bad that is hard to overlook

   Christmas, there were several tables and not many employees. Connie was taking care of the whole dining room, she was great! Her kindness and smiles were wonderful as was her service. Our meal was very good, we will be back soon, hping Connie will be working! Thanks Chevy's, our Christmas dinner was delicious and fun!

   I had a reservation for 7:30, but upon arrival they told me it was still a 20 min wait. What’s the point of submitting a reservation time than? My wife and I had dinner reservations because we also had movie reservations. Luckily they allowed us to sit at the bar and we were able to order food there.

   We've come to this Chevy's since they opened over 10 years ago. This was the worst dining experience we've had there. The wait staff was reasonably polite and prompt in their service, but the kitchen apparently hurt their efficiency. It took over 45 minutes from the time we ordered until food was on the table. Too long by at least 20 minutes. We ordered common items such as chicken enchiladas, taco, pork tamale. The red sauce placed on the enchiladas and tamale was too spicy for our tastes and more spicy than it had been a year or so ago. The underlying food items were not hot in temperature. The outside of the tamale was gummy making it unpleasant at best. The rice and beans were okay. It was apparent that the food had set for a while waiting to be served. The plate was warm, but most of the food was not. The shift manager walked by the table and asked how things were going. We told her the red sauce was too spicy, but she barely acknowledged our concern and cruised on to her other duties. We're done with this Chevy's! Not coming back, ever.

   There were empty tables everywhere but it took over an hour to get any food besides chips and salsa. No explanation, no apology. Obviously someone didn’t show up for work in the kitchen. And when we left there were lots of people waiting. It was Mother’s Day. Nothing special for the mothers except to wait and eat chips.

    The food we ordered was subpar, unfortunately, for the price. I ordered nachos, and half of the chips had no cheese or toppings whatsoever. My significant other’s burrito was just “ok.”

    I used to love Chevy’s. But it has not grown as the world has. I feel like the prices are moderately high and the portions are on the larger end but the quality is on the lower end. The food is not bad, but it’s forgettable. Meanwhile, there are many other options in a similar price range, with smaller portions, but truly memorable food. Chevy’s chips and salsa are my favorite Mexican restaurant chips and salsa but I will be likely to just buy that to-go next time and eat a meal elsewhere.

    Very good food and service but the prices have gotten way too high for this place. $62 with tip for 2 entres (pick 2), 1 regular margarita and 2 beers ($6 each!)! I don’t blame the restaurant-Welcome back to the 70’s style inflation thanks to our current government, especially in Illinois.

    Had a reservation a week in advance and was still a 30min wait due to letting people book in 15min increments if the called. It only 30min increments online so allowing this delayed everything. The Main reason we came is due to the Mother’s Day promotion only for them to say that bottomless mimosas were illegal in IL and they had to promote it anyway due to it being a corporate business. The bus boy must’ve been having a bad day at work because he continued to slam chairs and make a ruckus on every table he cleaned as if he hated his job. The server was nice, but attempted to impress our 10 top with memorizing our order instead of writing it down. So to no surprise, things were wrong. I won’t be back.

    Even with a reservation we still had to wait 45 minutes just to be seated. Waitress was friendly but did could not get orders correct. Special Mothers day menu more over priced that purchasing the items ala cart.

    I had a reservation and was told upon arrival that we had a 30 minute wait. I spoke with the manager who told me they had several tables ahead and it just was how it was. The restaurant had very few tables seated. I was unhappy but we chose to wait given it was Mother’s Day. As we sat down I ordered guacamole with our drinks. The guacamole never came. I asked about it again when we ordered our meal. I was told it was coming. Our food came but we had no silverware. Our server told us they were out and left the table. We assumed she went to go find us silverware. We saw her continue serving other tables. We got up on our own to ask the hostess for silverware. We were again told they were out. We then went to find the manager. She did eventually bring us silverware however at this point we had been sitting with our food for close to 15 minutes. As the manager delivered the silverware she was in no way apologetic and thought that solution was acceptable. After we explained we now have cold food she offered to remake our food. By this point we had been at our table for over an hour (still no guacamole) and staring at our food for part of it. We opted to pay for our drinks (which should have been compensated) and leave. The guacamole was delivered as we left. We will not be back. The restaurant never did get beyond 1/4 capacity.

    Food was food, especially the salsa. Ice tea was almost undrinkable. Had reservations but had to wait outside (which is under stable with COVID)’ however when we were called there was nobody else in the room and the place was 2/3 empty..

    Hostess wouldn’t seat us at an available patio table because she had to take us to an inside table to be fair to the servers. I said we would wait and watched the outside table wait for us set up and ready. It even our high chair was ready for us. Once we got seated, our server was great but the hostess needs a huge lesson in customer service.

    The only thing disappointing was the fact that we had a reservation and we had to return to our car to wait for 15 minutes. Obvious they were terribly understaffed.

    I’m having a hard time with this. I’m trying to be graceful, since the waitress was new. It took 45 minutes to finally get my drink, and even with the manager handling it, it still was not how I ordered it. They’ve also changed some of the recipes plus the sauce on my enchiladas was not what I ordered. It will be a very long time before we go back.

    Customer service was the worst I have ever experienced. We had a reservation yet still did not get seated for another 40 minutes. We watched other 8 tops get seated ahead of us. We offered to split into groups and were told no, that would not work. Bartender and hostess were very very rude. Us just being there seemed to be a huge inconvenience for them. Will never be back

    Walked in and was told that we would be seated next. We waited for the group ahead of us to be seated so we sat right in front of the lady since we figured we’d be next. Well we weren’t she sat another group before us and then was about to seat another one and I walked up and ask if we were next. She kept making excuses about the text saying they were ready not working but we were about 15 feet away from her sitting and waiting.

    We made our reservation on Open Table for 5:45. When we arrived at restaurant at 5:40 we were told we had a 15 minute wait and we were to wait in our car for a text. After waiting 30 minutes with no response from restaurant we went back inside to find out they had seated every single party that came in after us that did not have reservations. No apologies were offered that our reservation had been forgotten

    Server was not very attentive. I had to repeatedly ask for items. I even ordered salsa and chips to go but they were forgotten. This mishap was not a loss though due to the salsa did not taste like any other Chevy’s location I have eaten. Lastly, I was disappointed the bottomless mimosas were not available at this location.

    We have been missing going to Chevy's during this pandemic and decided to try out their tent. Unfortunatly, their tent is much too large, with only 2 heaters and one whole side of the tent open to the cold weather. Food and service was great as always, but until it warms up or covid goes away we will have to stay away for a while. We've eaten out at another establishment and their tent was not open on one side and it had multiple heaters keeping it warm. Too bad the manager of Chevy's couldn't have a better setup like that. Personally I think the restaurants being mandated to close is absurd when all the safety precautions such as masks and lower occupancy limits are being followed. I feel really bad for all the restaurant owners. Under normal circumstances, Chevy's is our favorite place to eat out and we have ordered to-go from them during this pandemic.

    Our server was GREAT! We had to dine outdoors for obvious reasons - she had to work very hard running in and out of the building to take care of her tables. It could have been warmer in the tent - hope they can find a way to heat better as it gets colder outside. I understand it is tough and that is why I still gave a high rating. The food was very good, the only slight suggestion would be the fajitas were mostly onions - could have used more peppers. The flavor was very good!

    To begin with the good, our waitress Maggie was amazing. She seemed to be the only person who knew what the hell was going on. We were placed at a table near the hostess stand where all we heard was the two hostesses talk crap about the rest of the staff.

    The patio dining was much better than anticipated. Only two small issues, which were uncontrollable, were the breeze & a couple of flies. The meals were delicious, as always.

    Outdoor dining only due to C19, so unable to speak to ambience. Food was good, not great. Except, the guacamole which was excellent! Price a bit stiff for the quality. Would like to try again when we can dine indoors but will definitely be stopping by to get guacamole to go.
