Cibo E Beve
Amazing food, amazing hosts/servers/bartender. Gianni knows how to entertain and this small restaurant is an Italian food paradise and great find.
GREAT ITALIAN RESTAURANT TOP 5 IN THE CITY
Service was great, but food was not good at all, especially for price. Two people ordered the lasagna and both thought it was dry and mushy....like frozen for a while and reheated. Pizza was just ok, hard to mess that up, and the salmon was dry. However, the tiramisu was fantastic.
This was our first time back here in a few years, and we were a bit let down on this visit. While two of the dishes our table had were both good, the pasta in one of our dishes was overcooked. At an Italian restaurant, I unfortunately can't overlook that. The service was fine.
LOVE this place - our favorite GO-TO for a great meal and ambiance!!
It is a nice place but lacks a good wine list, and basic Italian entrees. My husband loves the basic Italian foods like spaghetti and meatball, lasagna etc. which were not on the menu. The food is good, I had chicken piccata, it was served with mashed potatoes I would like to have had the option for a pasta. I would go back if others in my party really wanted to go but it would not be a first choice for me.
Amazing food. We loved everything we had and the pasta couldn't be beat. The only down side was the $14 cocktails - wish the drinks were a little more affordable.
Had great time, was our anniversary. Good location ,since we were going to Chastain to see Chicago.
Wonderful food, service and information on wines!
Sea bass was a bit fishy. My meatballs were undercooked. Everything else - arugula salad, soup, fish pasta, bombe dessert so delicious
Great food, great service, nice room, but the acoustics are lousy. Hard to hear my company.
This was disappointing- food pretty ordinary, yet quite expensive. The chicken parmesan was heavy and uninteresting, the veal piccata was mostly artichoke hearts. Not many wines available by the glass. The waiter was not informed about the menu, could offer no insights or suggestions, we ordered wine by the number listed next to the name of the wine- the waiter didn’t know anything about the wine list. It really was a poor meal- we will not return.
Carbonara was delicious. Best I've had in Atlanta.
Tried this after reading the menu online. Now our new favorite! Absolutely perfect.
Excellent all around!!
What a hidden gem! The interior of the restaurant is very modern yet comfortable. The server was always attentive and courteous, and the food portions are very generous. I ordered the Orecchiette Pugliese which was fabulous! It tasted like home cooking done right : just enough sauce (the sauce was so good we asked for bread to dip it in) and the ingredients came together in a beautiful way that showed off the sausage flavor while keeping the dish light. My boyfriend ordered the ravioli with short rib ragu which he loved: the ravioli tasted homemade and very fresh, and for him being more of the meat eater , the ragu was hearty enough to satisfy him. Despite two little hiccups which were taken care of immediately by the server (it was even made known to who we believe is the manager who came and apologized again), we can't wait to come back!
Our bartender (Jennifer?) was excellent, she even wen the extra step to try something we suggested and then delivered the drinks to our table. The meatball appetizer was great and our meals were amazing. But, the best was the tiramisu, we have never had such mousse like tiramisu that melted in your mouth. Definitaly will return.
Outstanding birthday dinner for my husband. This was our first time here. Is been wanting to come for years. He loves Italian food so this seemed fitting.
We were seated and immediately given water and warm bread with olive oil for dipping. It was Thursday which is ladies night so I had my pick of several bottles of wine which were half off. I picked a popular red wine which we found was sold out so our waitress, Mary, substituted it for a similar higher priced wine and honored the price of the initial one we picked. The wine and bread were great to start with.
We ordered calamari, lobster spaghetti with white sauce and taglierini norcina. The calamari came perfectly crisp with a light batter and no tentacles, which I don’t like. It had marinara and a sweet chili sauce for dipping. They were both so good I alternated each time I ate a piece of calamari.
The pastas blew our minds. The portions were huge! My taglierini norcina was the most perfect blend of cream sauce, truffles and Italian sausage. My non-meat eating husband actually likes the flavor of it. I could eat it everyday although I’m sure I shouldn’t. We both had more than half of our pastas left over so Mary wrapped them to go. She also recorked our wine so we could take the rest home.
For dessert hubby was offered a complimentary dessert for his birthday. We brought a bundtlet from Nothing Bundt Cakes and Mary plates it with the complimentary gelato including a candle! It was so thoughtful. I sang happy bday and then the table next to us joined it which was a treat.
I am looking forward to my next visit here very soon. If you are in question I guarantee you’ll love it. Thanks Mary for making our night.
This was the third time dining at Cibo e Beve and it was as delicious as the first time. The staff is super friendly and personable. The food is consistently great! It’s my go to place when someone says do you know a good Italian restaurant.
I got charged for two glasses of wine when I ordered one and got some samples they told me was free. The food wasn't as much as it cost. I thought it was alittle too expensive. The environment and service was great though
Great place for a girls night or time with the family. Get the CARBONARA!!!! It was delicious!
A very enjoyable experience. The food was delicious, the service was great and loved the atmosphere.
Loved the food and service!
Definitely coming again!
Andrei was our server. He was great. The owner was very attentive and nice.
Love Cibo E Beve - best Italian food around! Great Staff!
on August 11, we went for dinner to Cibo E Beve. The dinner was excellent. We enjoyed Florentine cuisine, prompt and unobtrusive service, ready to accommodate any of our needs, friendly conversation with the owner of the place. Besides good food, we learned a lot about Florence and Italy in general. We will definitely return there.
We have a dinner group and try new-to-us restaurants about once a month. We will return to this one soon!!!
Food is amazing. Portions are huge. You can get a salad and share and entree and leave there satisfied.
Always awesome and they really appreciate our business
This used to be a neighborhood favorite of ours. Not good like it used to be; average at best now. Server was oddly despondent
We were initially seated in one of the booths, but were moved after we found them to be too small for four adults. Food was very good, with large portions, and flavorful plates. Mussel appetizer had mussels individually placed in the bowl very just being dumped in. They also had a hint of red pepper, very good. As was the burrata and Caesar salad apps. Entrees were large portioned, and also very good. Spaghetti and meatballs, while not on the menu. Had two huge flavorful meatballs. Lobster and pasta was good, could have had more lobster, and a more briny flavor. Service was the downside, had to hunt for bread service, tea refills, and a check. However, the food was worth the service shortfall. It is rather loud, in the small space, outside seating may be the better choice, weather permitting
Authentic, popular Italian restaurant, knows good service.
Awesome. They went above and beyond
One of my pet peeves is when servers don't introduce themselves so you know who is serving you from the beginning of your visit. Andre was very pleasant and engaging. I asked if there was a special. To have only a few guests in the restaurant at 11:45 AM, the food took longer to arrive than we expected. The carbonara was excellent and the pasta had a nice chew. The shrimp fra diavolo pasta was not pleasing to my guest. He ate the shrimp so it wasn't a wasted effort but left the pasta because he felt it was salty and the sauce was bland/unseasoned. He chose not to send it back or order something else because of how long it took the first dish to arrive. We subsequently ordered a Caesar salad that was split between the two of us but we didn't feel it was worth the $10 cost in terms of freshness and presentation. Andre was a good host and he brought a complimentary tiramisu in honor of our shared July birthdays. It was delicious.
Some observations: When the guests next to us received their food, we noticed a terrible and striking odor. It was like spoiled seafood was exposed and we noticed it as we wrapped up our dessert and waited for the check (approx. 12 mins). Another table of guest appeared to have noticed as they were leaving. Not all restaurants do this but it would have been a nice touch to tidy the table of debris [as well as plates] to make way for dessert or the check. Again, Andre was a good host but the overall experience was not great and we expected more based on the reviews. Not our day it seems.
Fantastic food, great wait staff, wonderful restaurant!
In town for a short business trip. Had a group of 5. Seating was comfortable. Not too loud to hold a conversation. Staff very accomodating and attentive. Food was outstanding. Everyone in the group thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Would highly recommend.
Very good servive. Great food portions too!
We go here often, and it never disappoints. I had the spaghetti and meatballs (not on the menu, but of course they will make it), and my husband had the chicken. A great, casual restaurant.
Food and service was excellent. Has a great vibe! We’ll be back.
Great meal! Great service
