City Tap decor is an extension of our identity. Warm, comfortable and inviting with communal spaces for large parties in the bar area and a table layout in the dining room lending itself to large groups. Reclaimed wood adorns the walls, prohibition era murals dress the dining room, and industrial styled lighting makes for a cozy atmosphere.
Great beer and even better food — for everyone. We've been dedicated to that very simple idea since 2010. Please join us at the bar. We've been saving you a seat.
Valentine's Day Special Menus & More
We will be offering the "Love Bird Special" in the dining room with a set Prix Fixe menu as well as an additional shareable menu in the bar. Acoustic tunes from 6-8:30pm and DJ Sprino late night spinning 90's R&B til close!

Took a group of 6 We showed up an hour early for our reservation and they got us right in. Service was great. Scallops were daily special and were amazing. You have to try the pig wings app. Everyone loved it.
The food (especially wings and nachos) was fantastic. Service was just as good. Highly recommended. I live about 45 minutes away so that is the only problem! Open one in Plymouth PLEASE!!
I've been here a handful of times. Beer selection is broad, but not terribly deep. Our waiter crossed up one beer order, but the IPA he brought me was something I hadn't had before, and a pleasant surprise. We ordered off of the app menu; pretzels were a little under done, chicken wings a little over done. Had to flag our server down for beer refills.
Go to Brunch location when we are in Boston..good food, great service.
This visit was a little louder but business was jumping!!
Always a good experience..
Glad we had reservations as there was a wait!!
The food was excellent and the service was event better. There are more beers on tap, than you have friends.
Understanding it was a popular evening, we made reservations through the website. The process was super easy. When we arrived, we were seated immediately.
Food options were limited and service was slow on a fairly slow night. Drink selection was fantastic and the micro brewery atmosphere was a hit.
Service was not great. Drinks took forever! And waiter was tough to find.
Our Server was on point and just what we needed to start our year off right. Cheers for beers and wishing you all a Happy New Year.
Had an awesome time at New Years Day brunch! Will definitely be back.
Amazing food and beer selection
Service was shocking. Will seriously think twice before going back.
Good food. Bad service
Food was okay, not very knowledgeable about gluten free. Waitress spilled a Bloody Mary on my friend and it was so loud you could barely hear anyone talk
Go to spot for Brunch, when we are in Boston!!
Service was great, brunch selection is wide..
My son cant wait for revisit!!
Nice vibe with great staff and excellent food. Brunch offers Mimosas for only $5!
The vegetarian fried rice with kimchee was amazing!
Loud, lively, casual but good food. It’s a fun place.
Great food and beers. Would have liked bread or something to snack on while going over choices, but not a deal breaker. Woulld go again.
1st visit. The service was fantastic. Tip take your time ordering because the food is delivered quickly. The menu was great. My wife had a Short Rib rice bowl which she loved. I had the Shrimp & Grits, outstanding, loved the dish it was served in. Fantastic beer menu, only knock is wish they had more Amber's & Browns on it, they only had one. But a full menu of other beers to try. The price points were extremely reasonable for the quality. Looking forward to my next visit.
Great service good food!!! Had a great time defiantly will be back 😁🍺
Great place for a bite and beer. Beer selection is long and really impressive.
It was my first time here. Overall, it’s a great spot for lunch for the nearby businesses. I liked the atmosphere and food although my burger was a bit overdone. The blue crab mac & cheese was super!
We went for brunch and it was a perfect atmosphere! The service was great and they were very accommodating with food allergies
Everything was great except the kitchen was not on point. I asked for no cheese on my salad and add steak. The kitchen forgot the steak and interpreted "no cheese" as "no bleu cheese" and put grated Parmesan all over my salad. The waiter was very apologetic and compensated my meal and brought out whatever appetizer I wanted.
By far one of the best restaurants/ bars in all of Boston this place never ceases to amaze me. The food is always spectacular and the service is phenomenal as well. Very energetic place to be and so many different areas to sit that fit all different occasions. Both inside and outside possess a very warm comfortable feeling without sacrificing a modern aesthetic; the benches outside around the fires are a game changer and definitely makes City Tap stand out because you can enjoy outdoor seating even when it’s cold out. There are always WICKED cool events happening here with fun themes and enticing specials to reel in an amazing crowd of great people. The DJs they’ve had absolutely kill it with the great vibes. I could go on but the point is you (potential patron) should do yourself a favor and go try City Tap in Fort Point you’ll only be letting yourself down if you don’t!
The service was so unbearably terrible from the host to the food runner. Fort Point has a lot of food options and not a single employee seemed to give a hoot that we were dining there. Every app and main came out at a different time, our drinks were continually forgotten, an entree was forgotten, a wrong entree was delivered, multiple beer choices were out so the server simply chose something else to give us. It was atrocious. Thank goodness the food was good - it’s obviously the only thing helping the place stay open. Hire a good manager and get them on the floor and training people. No one there seems to realize they are in the service industry.
The corn dip was amazing, as were the wings (which had a unique spice blend that included cinnamon)! We also had a bacon cheeseburger, which was delicious as well. The bacon was a step above what you normally get on a burger, a very nice touch. The waiter we had was also super professional and helpful.
Service was pretty poor when we went. Food took a while to prepare, and food came out to the group in large time increments. 3 people served, then 2 minutes later, another 3 people, then 5 minutes later (when the first group's food was cold, the last few people. Online reservation on their site was difficult to make for the number of people we wanted so we had to split it into two parties, only to realize they didn't even check the online reservation when we got there.
Went there for Sunday Brunch. Had a 1:00 reservation and we sat at a high top in the bar area. Even though it was a rainy raw day the restaurant was pretty busy. Started with smoked pig wigs that my wife and I shared. Two sweet chili glazed pork shanks. Excellent. Meat fell off the bone. We split the burger and the smoked brisket sandwich. Burger was cooked just right. Brisket was a big sandwich. Both were very good. Lots of draft beer selections. Service was prompt. Food was good. Will return because we would like to try the mussels that aren’t on the brunch menu.
I love city tap! My only wish is they had more basic options for brunch rather than such a heavy focus on southern cuisine. But our brunch choices tasted great and our waiter was amazing so overall not complaints. City tap never disappoints when it comes to service and overall quality of food.
The ambiance was nice. Service good. The food however was somewhat cold. Very very heavy food. Almost too heavy to enjoy. Will most likely not be back for brunch again
Salad was so soggy it was inedible
Our waiter was great, professional... knowledgeable about the extensive beer menu. Good burgers!
The big chick was awesome! Great brunch spot! The $5 mimosas are a good deal too!
Great place if you are looking for some fantastic craft beers. Fantastic menu....had a great time.
Waitress was extremely impersonable and everything we asked she made sound like a chore. We are at city tap and asking to order a flight of beer was as if we asked the largest inconvenience possible.
Waiter, drinks, and food were great. Hostesses weren’t the friendliest and refused to seat us before our reservation time despite a half empty dining room. Other than that, great spot.
Exciting bar crowd. Had the salad with steak. Asked for medium, but they looked like charcoal briquettes. Had to flag down the server to get another glass of wine.
Great service and food
This is possibly the best brunch spot for a large group. Very lively and great staff - they accommodated us without the fuss other restaurants usually make about a large party.
We got the Pretzel and Brussels Sprouts for the table which got devoured rather quick :) The Mimosas/ Bloody Mary's/ IPAs are be pretty good as well.
For food we got:
+ 2 Chicken and Waffles (the waffles were perfect but one of the chickens was slightly overdone)
+ French Toast (Seasonal but delicious brioche-based toast with poached strawberries and whipped cream)
+ Tap Burger with Avocado and Egg (delicious)
+ City Tap Quiche (comes with sides)
+ Brewers breakfast (standard)
+ Veggie Burger (comes with sides)
Parking can be tricky but off-street should be available as well for as little as $10.
