We enjoyed the dinner, and the “show” of bikers, scooters and runners passing thru the outdoor “dining room”. Wait staff and customers dodging the extra pedestrian traffic (did I forget to mention the four legged pedestrian traffic?) made the excellent food even more enjoyable! Wonderful evening!
Waitress was very nice. Food was a mix bag. We enjoyed the appetizers—truffle burrata, tuna tartare, calamari. Entrees—the lobster risotto, hamburger and branzino were delicious. Truffle risotto was over cooked and halibut needing some seasoning and was a little over cooked. Dessert was nice. We had a good time but would not return.
Service was slow. Had to ask several servers for a refill of coffee.
Omelettes were overcooked and dry
Excellent food, burrata and shrimp coconut were great. Personally the lobster risotto was slightly over cooked but I like more al dente so it may be me. Truffle risotto was awesome. We enjoyed the drinks and the vibe of the place away from the tourist places
Highly highly recommend! Amazing food, service, staff and owner. Perfect for date night, night out with friends or family.
We had lunch outside in the covered area. Very nicely done. Service was excellent and the food was good. Being on First Ave, in the street, it was nosier than I expected.
Great neighborhood restaurant with outstanding service and high quality tasty food.
We had a good, but not great meal at Copinette. The Risotto was a little flavorless, service was a bit slow, but the Lamb Chops and dessert were very good.
Food as always excellent. Service excellent but slow.
Needed at least one more wait person. Extensive menu. Many great choices,
The food is always great and the service friendly. Their outdoor seating setup is lovely. It's a regular for me.
We had a wonderful time. Food was delicious. Great server!! Thank you!
Our waitress was extremely rude, never asked us if we want dessert & we asked for the check & waited at least 1/2 hour till we received it.
Lovely setting, we had a nice meal, staff were friendly and accommodating
We are going to give it another try, but will not dine outside...too noisy.
I enjoyed the calamari, but not the "sauce" that accompanied it (too watery). The onion soup was very good...as was the crab cake and salad. Our friends enjoyed the risotto, but it was not Arborio rice (which is what risotto really is prepared with).
We ate outside. Of course the restaurant can't control the noise, so I don't hold it against them.
The food is good, but I would have rated it better if the fruit and whipped cream on my French toast was more generous. It was very stingy. Also, my son asked for toast with his eggs and didn't get it.
Great drinks, good food! I would recommend
It was my second visit/lunch at "Copinette". Previously (18 months ago), I hosted a working luncheon for 8 persons there. Then it was a prix fixe menu. The service was extremely slow (I thought then that it was because of a comparatively large number of our orders, i.e. for 8 persons). Meals were OK then but far away from being excellent. So, today I had a second try. It was a lunch for two. Like during my first lunch, again - a long wait for our ordered meals (more than 30 minutes). The restaurant at that time apparently was not too busy. Thus once again it was unpleasant repetition of my previous experience at the restaurant. Today I ordered an appetizer (fried calamari) and an entree (shrimp salad). My companion as a main course had a NY strip steak. He requested a medium steak. However, it was apparently overcooked and far from being hot. Also, I was surprised that my appetizer was brought to us together with all other ordered dishes rather than well in advance. Also, the service was fairly lousy. The only positive thing today at the restaurant was a glass of Malbec which was really not bad for the price (12 USD). To sum up, I don't intend to return to the restaurant anytime in the near future (hopefully, it will improve its service soon). For the time being I do recommend not to go to the restaurant.
A perfect set up for Team Drinks/Meal (Party of 9). Lovely décor, wine, and delicious food! The tuna tartar and scallops were highlights. Thank you Copinette! We'll be back!
Attendants are nice and thoughtful. Food can get better , but it’s a quiet and calm place ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely delicious! Spicy Jalepeno Margarita was super spicy, but OH SO good!
Everything was very nice except I like my food hot and I think the food was not hot enough.
I also went for brunch Mother’s Day and my eggs were not that warm. The flavor was good but cold.
Was very clear to waitress regarding order of pistachio crusted halibut and asked whether that topping could be made without salt. She said yes and I asked for that hazelnut balsamic reduction on the side she said yes instead I got it without any hazelnut topping which was the whole point of why I ordered it. They replaced the dish with shrimp scampi at my request and the sauce was terrible and upset my stomach all night.
Fairly standard, the risotto was quite cold and not flavorful. The ravioli was more successful. The (seemingly) shift manager had a very loud argument with an unhappy customer who had delivered food he was unhappy with. There was no follow-up with the customers who witnessed it.
My friends and I enjoyed a great meal.
Very special evening.
Simple and , raining and cold outside
good value and good food in a pleasant outdoor setting. Great neighborhood jewel
Service was excellent, and the waiters were extremely attentive. The Nicoise salad was okay with a lot of Tuna, but the dressing was weak. Great mimosas!
Great dinner menu, I would avoid lunch and brunch menus, very limited.
We had a great time with good food!
Date night with my wife and we had a great time here. Lamb chops were amazing and the staff were so friendly! Loved our time here.
More expensive than I thought— think $50-65 per person— but delicious!
lamb chops overaged--not very tender. shrimp cocktail not very fresh; a bit overcalled almost frozen.
Best place and a nice view. Great food and good service!
The outdoor seating area is a furnace with no circulation in air, so despite the outdoor reservations to take advantage of the sunny summer weather day, we moved indoors to feel like we could breathe (ironic given the circumstances in 2021). The food was great, though it was a tough getting the attention of the servers (not quite sure if race was a factor, as we were the only patrons who weren’t white).
Great food and extra friendly service.
Wonderful meal on a beautiful day outdoors. Arugula salad and omlette of day were great.
Food and drinks were great. Service was great. Will definitely go
The restaurant ambience and the service is good, but I was very deceived by the food. We ordered
- the hazelnut halibut, which apparently Is the best seller: it was significantly overcooked,
- the branzino: overcooked as well, and no taste
-scampi risotto: the risotto was re-heated. It is prepared in advance and the consistency is blend and soft.
Dessert are basic.
I do not know why this place has such good reviews. We will not return. It does not worth it.
