    We went to Dante specifically for the tasting menu paired with the wines and were not disappointed. We got a beef tartare with egg yolk and pickled chantrelle mushrooms, seafood pasta, halibut with tomato pepper ragu, the "duck duo", and creme caramel for desert. Each dish was exquisitely balanced and delicious. The flavors were rich and incredible but I wished they experimented more with some exotic flavors, as we didn't really the Mediterranean twist at all. Still, some of the most perfectly cooked and prepared meat I have ever seen. The halibut was melt in your mouth and so was the beef tartare. The flan absolutely floored everyone at the table and is a top contender for my favorite desert ever. It is amazing what these chefs can do with such simple ingredients. The service was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional beyond belief. The wine pairings suggested for us by thr waitrsless were excellent and did a great deal to enhance the dishes beyond the sum of their parts. We never felt like we were waiting on anything and all the staff were incredible, putting on a quality experience from the fresh silverware to the cocktails. I would be back at this place every night if I had the money!

    Excellent tasting menu and wine pairing. It included items that were not on the regular menu. This is a great way to try different foods and obscure wines that you may not be familiar with.

    Kiera and Scott were exceptional. This was a true dining experience. Kiera was attentive and very much so engaging throughout the evening. Scott was very kind and accommodated my seating request. The evening was perfect!

    Very enjoyable first visit for a milestone wedding anniversary. We were congratulated and they offered complementary bubbly. Very enjoyable tasting menu with wine pairings, “The Experience”. The cavatelli with rabbitt ragout was probably my favorite of all the delicious dishes that were served. Beautiful presentations. The service was outstanding!

    First time experiencing Dante’s I enjoyed the Canadian Salmon, it was delicious. My husband had beef tenderloin entree & told our waitress “complements to the chef”.

    This is one of our favorite stops whe. We come to Cleveland. I had the carbonara. My husband has the tasting g menu. Service was a little stunted this time which is not the norm.

    Energetic is not what I would define as the noise level. It was LOUD! We sat in the vault as I had specifically requested a quiet table as we had an elderly out of town guest. For the most part being in the vault helped, but as the restaurant became more filled up, the noise level increased to the extent that we gave up and left. The service and the food were excellent

    We ordered the chef's tasting menu. As usual, the food was amazing. However, we did note this time around the portions were too large for a 5 course meal. Typically, the menue is portioned perfectly so you are just the right amount of full at the end. We prefer quality over quantity.

    It always seems as if you are rushed because the servers are constantly taking things off of the table. It is hard to enjoy your food because of this. Also making you decide on your whole meal at one time and bringing it out before you finish your appetizers seems a bit excessive.

    Excellent experience overall. Food was delicious, service mostly outstanding. We had the tasting menu. The portions were large for a tasting menu, maybe too big. But the food was outstanding so we did our best to eat everything. One small hiccup--we were asked about allergies at the beginning of the evening, but that didn't translate to the end of the evening as our original dessert offering had an ingredient we had told them to avoid. No big deal, as it was obvious the ingredient was there and they immediately changed the plates out for another dessert, but might have been an issue in other circumstances. The odd part was the waitstaff did not either know of the error or ignored it because she never mentioned it or apologized for the error (other staff brought the food, not the waitstaff). Other than that, it was a wonderful evening and we highly recommend Dante.

    First off - our food was great. We shared a number of interesting flavorful items. The grade is lowered because there was a problem with gnats and small flies annoying us that is probably a one off but we had to deal with it. Our server was earnest and kind but inexperienced or not well trained. Overall B.

    Dante use to be one of our favorite restaurants. We haven’t been in quite awhile so we decided to go for dinner. What a disappointment. First the service was less than stellar. Our server seemed highly uninterested and really tried to rush us. He kept trying to get us to put our whole order in right away and he would “course them out”. We understand that that can be standard practice but frankly we prefer not to order that way because after appetizers, often our original entree choices may change. We started with wine and cocktails. My husbands wine arrived within a reasonable time, my dirty martini on the other hand not so much. It took almost 15 mins from when I ordered for it to arrive. They had just released a new menu a few days ago. Our server didn’t know anything about the new menu items. I always thought it was practice for the servers to taste new menu items and be able to have knowledge on the new menu to answer questions that diners had, well that was not the case. He told us that it’s a new menu and he doesn’t really know much about it and hasn’t tasted any of it so couldn’t be much help, Ah ok. We ordered the cured meats , one of our favorites, and one of the new appetizers, the crab rangoon spring roll. The cured meats did not disappoint which can’t be said for the spring roll. It did not have any flavor. I’m not sure there was crab in it as it was just goopy cream cheese filling. For entrees, my husband got the “surf and turf” shrimp and short ribs. He said it was ok but nothing special. I went with the tasting portion of the carbonara, which was very good. I also decided to try the corn and mushroom crepe (new menu item). Again, no flavor and the corn overwhelmed the dish. I also ordered a glass of wine with dinner and noticed something floating in my wine. When I approached the manager to show him he simply brushed me off and said “it’s just cork” you can drink it. Needless to say we will not be back.

    I’ve been to Dante before and it was a great experience but this last time we were there was disappointing to say the least. Specially the food - from items like pasta been lukewarm to salty dishes. Even though we brought those issues up to the staff they never replaced the plates and we were ignored. Not going back again.

    We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Dante. Every aspect of the experience was exceptional. Food, service, and ambience were top-notch. We were seated in the vault room and offered a complimentary champagne toast. Don't miss the porterhouse for two. It was delicious and prepared perfectly. The desserts are creative and scrumptious. Our server and other members of the staff provided just the right amount of attention without being intrusive.

    My husband and I celebrated our 24th anniversary at Dante's and it did NOT disappoint. We have gone here maybe two other times. The service from the beginning to the end was amazing! Our waiter/waitress was simply outstanding and you could feel the passion they have in doing their jobs. The food was stellar!! Between the taste and the creativity, our palate was screaming with delight. We enjoy the chef special and not knowing what will come out, is part of the excitement and experience. I think we will take our daughter here for her high school graduation dinner, as I know she will appreciate The Experience a great deal. We will definitely be back!

    Returning customers treating friends to dinner: This was our first time having Jonathan as our waiter. He lived up to the impeccable standards of service that set Dante apart from other restaurants. The food was impeccable as always and our guests were duly impressed. We will be back for the chefs five course tasting menu.

    Chef Dante was there , I expected the food to be extraordinary but it came out that it’s just like any other restaurant. The food wasn’t tasty or unique, I can call it a bad experience. We ordered the experience which is 5 mysteries courses , liked only 1 out of 5.

    This is now officially our favorite restaurant in Cleveland! We celebrated a birthday with the tasting menu/wine pairing option. Our server, Kira, was perfectly attentive -no hovering, yet well timed removal of one serving in anticipation of the next. The rest of the staff were friendly and attentive as well. The wine pairings Kira recommended were spot on. From the first dish to dessert (with birthday candle) the presentation and quality of the food was incredible! Complex, interesting and fresh. Our table overlooking the outside area was comfortable and cozy. All in all a perfect evening!
