The restroom is very poorly located particularly for someone who may have an issue with walking a great deal.
The 16 ounce prime rib was perfect. Brussels sprouts were huge and unique. Service was top notch.
Service was not nearly as good as usual. The food was fine, but, not exceptional. We have had wonderful meals there in the past. Hopefully, that was just a bad night and not a turn for the worse for the restaurant. We do not intend to return anytime soon, so we will not know.
I've been here a few times and always enjoyed eating here.
Steaks are good and reasonably priced for a city restaurant.
Ordered the Bourbon Stout, which was off a bit this time (Too sour), but they gladly switched it out for another selection.
Only downside is that I felt a bit rushed with the timing of the food, but I will be back.
Excellent prime rib. Chopped salad was also delicious. Service was outstanding
So good. Service was great. The restaurant was clean and a great place to enjoy brunch. The drinks were strong and the meal was affordable
District Chophouse is one of my favorite spots to eat in DC. The cornbread and chicken tenderloins with a good larger and a glass wine kicked off the evening. I had the Rib-Eye steak with rice pilaf. It was delivered hot from the grill and I just dived in. The steak melted in my mouth. I had creme burlee for dessert. The custard and fresh fruit topping was just the right countdown for the meal. Portion size is always big. Wonderful pleasant place, business casual dress, the kitchen definitely never fail to meet my expectations. The stuff is so gracious. I was contacted about 4-5 times during the meal and asked if I needed any service. Please also try the Honey Chicken sandwich for lunch.
Ribeye was dry and tough. Sides were fine but nothing great. Not worth the money. This is mostly a tourist trap for folks too tired to find a better restaurant.
The corn bread was AMAZING!!! the steak was a little over cooked, we ordered medium rare but would consider it medium, but still had great taste. The crab cake and the asparagus did not disappoint either!
It was good. I expected it to be much better. My steak was tasty but not excellent. Pricey for a just above average steak
Ci siamo trovati molto bene, bella atmosfera, personale gentile, cibo buono.
Best Blackened Caesar Salad!
While the ribeye entree and burger was excellent; we were less impressed with the brunch ricotta waffles and chicken n waffles. Definitely more of a steakhouse!
District Chophouse is one of my favorite restaurants in DC, and I especially enjoyed my last visit during restaurant week. It's hard to beat the price for a good steak and the location in heart of DC. Plus, if you need to kill time, the bar and pool tables upstairs are always around for a good time.
Overall great experience! Everything I had was great! The mussels for the appetizer were sooo good! The cornbread was tasty and a nice surprise. My husband and I both got the New York strip which was great. I got the mashed potatoes and he got the fries. The fries were really seasoned and a little salty otherwise they were delicious. Can’t wait to go back!
Superb steak n service! Highly recommendrd! Don't hesitate to dine here
We went during Restaurant Week. The price was good and so was the food.
Our meal was outstanding. Nice selection of house-brewed beers, and they came with good recommendations. The Light Lager is among the best in this category I've ever had! The strip was a perfect medium rare! Definitely recommend!
Excellent food. Max was a great server.
The food was just mediocre. Better places to eat for the money....
Service was good and the waitress was very friendly and attentive. Food was mediocre. Ordered the calamari as an appetizer and the pieces were very small and chewy with a taste like they were reheated. Not sure if the calamari was old or overdone. We got it replaced with a shrimp dish and that dish was very good. I order a burger cooked medium but it came out well done, fries were good. My wife's pork chop was underwhelming. I think the food was middle of the road but for the price it should have been way better. I think in the future I will only come for the beer.
Service was slow on the front end, bar, and kitchen. Prime rib was salty, plating had too much sauce. It was a brewery trying to be a steakhouse with Appleby’s service. I would not recommend. I only went there to complete a dining experience for bonus air miles with United Premier Club.
The food was subpar for what a steakhouse is and what the prices were. All the baked portatoes that we ordered were undercooked. Made it very hard to eat it. My uncle steak was undercooked and set it back. He was not happy about the dining. The manager did a great job of fixing the problem. My steak was cooked a little over.
Service was fantastic. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful! The food delicious.
Cornbread was amazing
Bone-in ribeye was decent, didn’t blow me away.
Chicken Picatta, very lemony, could of used some garlic.
Asparagus was okay, green beams cooked perfect.
Bourbon Stout was okay, like it a bit boozier.
Great steak, good beer.
Most of us ordered steak and it was amazing. The waitress was very attentive. Thanks for helping my Mom celebrate her 81st birthday!
Been here several times, always a great experience with consistent food and service.
The staff and the food was wonderful. My wife and I dined at the District Chophouse to celebrate our 51st wedding anniversary and the staff made it a very special night for us! We will return again the next time we visit Washington, D.C.
Delicious steaks. Great beers. Very enjoyable ambience.
Great steaks and they have Craft Beers as well. The cornbread is pretty amazing as well. Our server "C" did a really good job personable and fun to interact with we went back the next day.
I had a great time there! I would like the Manager for even getting on the stool to get my balloon that flew to the ceiling. My server, Jessica, (I think) was amazing. Keep up the work.
Manager was very nice. He insured we had good service and food. Once he learned we were newly weds, he gave us free champagne and the dessert he ordered he gave it to us for free.
Great ambiance. Easy to talk.
Ambiance is nice and food was good, not great. Service was a bit off with poor timing and absent mindeness. Did not take drink orders until we asked. Initially brought wrong wine to the table. Brought out entrees fast while appetizers were still being enjoyed. Never asked about desserts or coffee after dinner. Short Ribs were very good.
Family meet up
We enjoyed the dinner we had here one night on our recent trip to D.C. I got the bacon cheeseburger and it was excellent. The service was also great and they have a nice selection of beers (many of which they make themselves!). The atmosphere was good too...a bit noisy but fun. All in all a great place to eat when visiting Washington.
We had a wonderful experience at District Chophouse! We were seated quickly and our waiter quickly came to take care of us. One of the most impressive things was how he had our daughter's food brought out before ours without us asking. She is a slow eater and gets bored waiting for us, so this was a pleasant surprise. Our steaks were fantastic and my husband greatly enjoyed his flight of tasting beers. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Best prime rib ever, the environment was very wonderful and the service was top notch.
Always great food, ambiance, and service.
