Best duck in all of town.
The food was not quite as nice as we remembered and cold gusts of wind as the doors opened and closed made for chilly dining. Some diners opted to dine in their coats. The food is still much better than average in Bethesda and the service is friendly and attentive. Nice selection of non-alcoholic cocktails.
Good meal, very small space. Their duck is excellent and they have a strong wine selection.
The food was delicious, and our waitress took great care of us! The birthday card from her and the other waiters was an extra special touch :) thanks again!
Location is great, service was spectacular. I am not a fan of the type of food but I will admit to being a picky eater. I did fond it to be pricey and I am not a cheap guy.
It was a great experience. The food is always superb
Good food, nice decor, but music was too loud and not relaxing. Waiter recommended a wine that he said needed to breathe, but then presented it at the same time as the two entrees. So either the wine did not get to breathe or the food got cold. We stated we were sharing a fish and a meat dish. He could have paced the entrees apart and the evening would have been more smooth.
Waiter was really attentive and the staff got my mom a birthday card! Super sweet and the food was amazing, as usual.
Excellent service, kitchen and presentation. The eggplant appetizer is absolutely unique and wonderful. Although the menu is small, everything was done to perfection (we had a large group, which enabled us to widely sample the menu). My only complaint is that it got a bit loud. I will certainly return.
Went for brunch on a Sunday. Had a reservation and was able to get seated and with a mimosa (always do bottomless) shortly after arriving. Great service/friendly staff and the food was great!
Everything was fantastic. We’ll be back to try the rest of the menu!
Food was delicious! Cauliflower steak had a great sauce! My husband loved the duck! Isabella was an excellent and passionate server!
This is our go to spot for special occasions. We love how quaint the dining area is and the food is excellent.
Celebrated our anniversary here, and had one of the best dining experiences we have ever had! Fantastic service, delicious food, and wonderful atmosphere. Our server, Bella, was attentive, knowledgable, and did her all to make us feel like our anniversary was special. We've already told our families all about it, and we can't wait to take them to DDG!
The staff were very welcoming and provided prompt attentive service. Some of the food was excellent, some very good. Nice atmosphere, but smaller than I expected. Would visit again.
I was disappointed, since the menu only included the brunch at lunchtime on Saturday.
This menu had very little to do with duck and goose, except for an overpriced
duck burger at 32 $.
Excellent experience for first visit on my birthday! Have already told three other friends about
Duck Duck Goose. Reminds me of some of the restaurants I went to in the 60's and 70's when
living in Paris. Waitress was very attentive; very professional and made us feel at home. We will return!
After reading other reviews, we knew to expect a loud, small place on a weekend evening. We were glad to know that going in because it was very noisy. Could have just been the man next to us at a table for 6 with a super loud and annoying laugh but who knows!? The food was phenomenal and we sooo lost definitely be recommending and returning for another date night!
First time there... had a lovely quiet lunch with my friend. Tasty wine, perfectly cooked chicken, coffee came with warm milk! Thanks, will be back.
Best ratatouille and amazing duck! Great service too!
Absolutely delicious meal perfect service!
Food is over priced, not value for money. Some food feels like it’s not made that day. Good service, friendly staff, desserts really needs some improvement. Would not go again, knowing how it is now.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience. The intimate space feels like a bistro. The glass of Bordeaux was reasonably priced for a Bordeaux and pleasantly smooth and appropriately dry. The salad was abundant and dressed with a vinaigrette that was neither too sweet nor too edgy. The highly of the meal was a duck pot pie, beautifully presented under a dome of light crust that was crispy on the top and delightfully moist beneath. The contents of the pie were piping hot, flavorful, and provided a reasonable mix of duck flesh and vegetables.
I always enjoy this place. It can get a bit noisy but the food is really good.
My friends and I had lunch at Duck, Duck, Goose, and our first reaction was that the location is a bit off the beaten path in the back neighborhood part of Bethesda. However, we all parked easily! We enjoyed a terrific lunch special of cauliflower soup with brioche toast, a mixed green salad, and grilled chicken sandwiches with French fries to-die-for!!! Our server was knowledgeable and quick with just the right amount of old-school charm. The prices were very reasonable. My friends and I recommend Duck, Duck, Goose . C'est manifique!
Amazing food, small restaurant so service was attentive and friendly. Went for birthday and was pleased with the extra effort made by staff
The duck pot pie was a flop. The un-thickened soup filling (???) came with a nice looking domed of "crust" on top that was totally unbaked inside (steamed, because it was sealed to the pot without any holes to vent the steam) with this combo I would prefer the dough cut and boiled in the soup as dumplings...
If you like pot-pie, this is not it!
This place is amazing. Food is phenomenal and the ambiance is amazing. One of the best restaurants in Bethesda.
The food and service were both outstanding. Delicious, appealing but not strange combinations of ingredients, beautifully presented. Our server was a great host. The ambiance is not the greatest at prime time busy. The dining area is tight and table for 2 very small. The environment was heavily impacted by 2 larger tables of diners which ratcheted up the decibels. Our server moved us from a table in the mid-dining area to a table by the window which was much improved for both noise and activity under our elbows. I would recommend DDG but I know for example, my husband would not like the feeling of being pressed upon by surrounding diners (I dined with a friend) . That is a no-go for him. Overall I enjoyed a lovely delicious meal, but I would need to be "in the mood" for the activity underfoot.
Someone in charge of liquor purchasing is double dealing— otherwise the wine selection couldn’t be this much of a disappointment—
